1 Hagi Anumzamo'a Israeli vahe ozamahe zamagaterenege'za ana knagu antahimiza, (Pasova) zo'ore bretima kreza nenaza kna fore hu'za nehige'za,
The Feast of the Unleavened Bread, known as the Passover, was near.
2 ugagota pristi vahe'mo'zane kasegere ugota hu'naza vahe'mo'za Jisasima ahefrisaza kanku hake'naze. Na'ankure vahetaminku kore hu'naze.
The Chief Priest and the Teachers of the Law were looking for an opportunity of destroying Jesus, for they were afraid of the people.
3 Ana nehazageno, Jisasima amage'manentaza 12fu'a disaipol nagapinti, mago zmimofo Judasinku, Iskarioti'e nehaza ne' agu'afi Sata'a ufre'ne.
Now Satan took possession of Judas, who was known as Iscariot, and who belonged to the Twelve;

So Judas assented, and looked for an opportunity to betray Jesus to them, in the absence of a crowd.

When the day of the Festival of the Unleavened Bread came, on which the Passover lambs had to be killed,
8 Anante Jisasi'a Pitane Jonigizni amanage huno huzanante'ne, Israeli vahe'ma Anumzamo'ma ozmahe zamagatere'nea zanku antahimiza nenaza ne'za retro hinketa ome namneno.
Jesus sent forward Peter and John, saying to them: “Go and make preparations for our eating the Passover.”
9 Zanagra anage hu'na'e, inante ome retro hanu'egu nehane? huke hakeno,
“Where do you wish us to make preparations?” they asked.
10 Jisasi'a anage huno zanasami'ne, Tanagra rankumapi ufresakeno'a, mago ne'mo kavofi tina afino afunte nevanigetna ome kesanutna'a, avaririta umarerisia nompi ufre'o.
“Listen,” he answered, “when you have got into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you; follow him into whatever house he enters;

and you shall say to the owner of the house ‘The Teacher says to you — Where is the room where I am to eat the Passover with my disciples?’
12 Anagema hanakeno'a, agofetu nomofona, ra kankamu hunaragintenefinka ko retro hunteneankino, tanaveri hanigeta, anante ne'zana retro hugaha'e.
The man will show you a large upstairs room, set out; there make preparations.”
13 Higene zanagra vune ome ka'ana, kehiaza huno makazana fore higene, ana ne'zana ome retro hu'na'e.
So Peter and John went on, and found everything just as Jesus had told them, and they prepared the Passover.
14 Ana ne'za nesnaza kna egeno, Jisasi'ene aposol naga'mo'za, ne'za nenaku trate zamaza tununte magopi mani'naze.
When the time came, Jesus took his place at table, and the Apostles with him.

“I have most earnestly wished,” he said, “to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.

For I tell you that I shall not eat it again, until it has had its fulfilment in the Kingdom of God.”

Then, on receiving a cup, after saying the thanksgiving, he said:
18 Na'ankure Nagra anage huna neramasamue, Nagra magore hu'na waini tina onena maninenugeno, Anumzamofo Kumara egahie.
“Take this and share it among you. For I tell you that I shall not, after to-day, drink of the juice of the grape, till the Kingdom of God has come.”
19 Hagi Jisasi'a bretima erino Anumzamofo susu hunteteno korino nezamino anage hu'ne, Ama'i Nagri navufa tamagrikure huno tami'neanki, nenesutma tamagesa antahinamiho.
Then Jesus took some bread, and, after saying the thanksgiving, broke it and gave to them, with the words: “This is my body, [which is now to be given on your behalf. Do this in memory of me.”]
20 Ne'zama netageno'a, anahukna huno kapu erino anage huno zamasmi'ne, Ama'i korani'afi kasefa huvempage hagerafita maninunku tamagritera tagitroe.
[And in the same way with the cup, after supper, saying: “This cup is the New Covenant made by my blood which is being poured out on your behalf. ]
21 Hu'neanagi keho, komoru huno ha' vahe zamazampi navrentesnia ne'mo, Nagrane magote mani'neno neza nene.
Yet see! the hand of the man that is betraying me is beside me upon the table!
22 Tamage hu'na neramasamue, Anumzamo hu'nea kante anteno, Vahe'mofo Mofavre'mofontera fore hugahianagi, ha' vahe'mofo zamazampima avrentesimofona, nasunku huntoe!
True, the Son of Man is passing, by the way ordained for him, yet alas for that man by whom he is being betrayed!”
23 Anage hige'za zamagra zamagra ontahige antahige hu'za, iza e'inahu'zana hu'naku higeno nehie? hu'za hu'naze.
Then they began questioning one another which of them it could be that was going to do this.
24 Jisasima amage'ma nentaza disaipol naga'mo'za, zamagra zamagra kehakare hu'za, i'za amu'nontifina ra vahera manigahie hu'za nehazageno,
And a dispute arose among them as to which of them was to be regarded as the greatest.
25 Jisasi'a anage huno zamasami'ne, Megi'a vahe'mokizmi kinimo'za zamagra'a vahera kegava krineza huzmantaza kea amage'nentaze. Hankave kva mani'noe haza vahe'mo'za, maka vahe'mokizmi rone mani'none hu'za nehaze.
Jesus, however, said: “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their oppressors are styled ‘Benefactors.’
26 Hianagi tamagra anara osugahaze. Hanki mago'mo'ma ra vahema amu'nontamifima mani'naku hanimo'a, osi'tfa manino. Kva vahe maniku amu'nontamifi hanimo'a, eri'za vahetami manigahie.
But with you it must not be so. No, let the greatest among you become like the youngest, and him who leads like him who serves.

Which is the greater — the master at the table or his servant? Is not it the master at the table? Yet I myself am among you as one who serves.

You are the men who have stood by me in my trials;

and, just as my Father has assigned me a Kingdom, I assign you places,

so that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom, and be seated upon twelve thrones as judges of the twelve tribes of Israel.

Simon! Simon! listen. Satan demanded leave to sift you all like wheat,

but I prayed for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. And you, when you have returned to me, are to strengthen your Brothers.”

“Master,” said Peter, “with you I am ready to go both to prison and to death.”

“I tell you, Peter,” replied Jesus, “the cock will not crow to-day till you have disowned all knowledge of me three times.”
35 Nehuno anage huno zamasami'ne, Nagrama erizania omerisazeguma hunermantena, zago eriri ku'ene, agia nona erineta ovihoma hugeta vazana, tamagra magozankura atupara hu'nazafi? Hige'za zamagra hu'za, i'o atupara osu'none hu'naze.
Then he said to them all: “When I sent you out as my Messengers, without either purse, or bag, or sandals, were you in need of anything?” “No; nothing,” they answered.
36 Jisasi'a anage huno zamasami'ne, Hianagi menina, zagoma eriri kura enerita, anahukna hutma kura eneritma, bainati kaziknoma e'orinenamotma nakre (saket) kutmia zagore atretma zago eritma bainati kazinknona magora mizaseho.
“Now, however,” he said, “he who has a purse must take it and his bag as well; and he who has not must sell his cloak and buy a sword.
37 Na'ankure Nagra anage hu'na neramasamue, avontafipima krente'nea kemo'a, kumi vahe'ene Agrira hampri'naze hu'neana, Nagriku huno krentenea kemo'a nagrite eama hugahie. (Ais 53:12)
For, I tell you, that passage of Scripture must be fulfilled in me, which says — ‘He was counted among the godless’; indeed all that refers to me is finding its fulfilment.”
38 Hige'za amage'ma nentaza disaipol naga'mo'za amanage hu'za hu'naze, Ramoka ko, tare kazi eri'none hu'za hazageno, Sa eri'naze, huno zamasmi'ne.
“Master,” they exclaimed, “look, here are two swords!” “Enough!” said Jesus.
39 Jisasi'a anage huteno, nompinti atiramino koma nehiaza huno Olivi agonare nevige'za, amagema nentaza disaipol naga'mo'za avariri'za vu'naze.
Jesus then went out, and made his way as usual to the Mount of Olives, followed by his disciples.
40 Jisasi'a ana agonare uhanatiteno, amanage huno zamasami'ne, Nunamu nehutma reramehe'zama esigetma evuoramiho.
And, when he reached the spot, he said to them: “Pray that you may not fall into temptation.”
41 Anage huteno, have matevazageno uneramia avamente zamatreno vuno, ome renarenamagino agafa huno nunamu huno,
Then he withdrew about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and began to pray.
42 anage hu'ne, Nenfaga Kagri kavesima me'nenigenka ama knazana eri atrenanto. Hianagi nagri navesira ovaririnka, Kagra kavesi avaririo, huno nehigeno,
“Father,” he said, “if it is thy pleasure, spare me this cup; only, not my will but thine be done.”
43 anante monafinti mago ankeromo Agrite efore huno azeri hankavetine.
Presently there appeared to him an angel from Heaven, who strengthened him.
44 Jisasina tusiza huno knavenesigeno, mago'ane hanavetino nunamu nehigeno, kora amunasisi huno mopafi tagiramine.
And, as his anguish became intense, he prayed still more earnestly, while his sweat was like great drops of blood falling on the ground.
45 Nunamuma huteno otino vuno ome zmageana, amagema nentaza disaipol nagara zamasunkuma hazazamo kna zamesino, zamazeri zamavutoko hige'za mase'nazageno,
Then he rose from praying, and came to the disciples and found them sleeping for sorrow.
46 anage huno zamasami'ne, Nahigeta tamavura mase'naze? Reramahe'za esigetma traka hu'zanku, otitma nunamu hiho.
“Why are you asleep?” he asked them. “Rise and pray, that you may not fall into temptation.”
47 Jisasi'a anage huno nezmasamigeno, hakare vahekrefamoza eri hantage'za neazageno, ananpina 12fu'a amagema nentaza disaipol nagapintira magozamimo, Judasi'ema nehaza ne'mo zamavreno ne-eno, eama huno Jisasina agi'antako hunaku e'ne.
While he was still speaking, a crowd appeared in sight, led by the man called Judas, who was one of the Twelve. Judas approached Jesus, to kiss him;
48 Hianagi Jisasi'a amanage huno Judasina asami'ne, Judasiga nagi antako nehunka, komoru hunka ha' vahe zamazampi, Vahe'mofo Mofavre avrente'za nehampi?
on which Jesus said to him: “Judas, is it by a kiss that you betray the Son of Man?”

But when those who were round Jesus saw what was going to happen, they exclaimed: “Master, shall we use our swords?”
50 magozmimo bainati kazinkno erino ugagota pristi nemofo kazokzo eri'za nera tamaga kaziga agesa antagi akre'ne.
And one of them struck the High Priest’s servant and cut off his right ear;
51 Hianagi Jisasi'a anage hu'ne, Atro, amanahuzana mago'ane osuo nehuno, agesare avako higeno so'e hu'ne.
on which Jesus said: “Let me at least do this”; and, touching his ear, he healed the wound.
52 Anante Jisasi'a ugota pristi vaheku'ene, mono nompi kegava nehaza vaheku'ene, mono kva vahe'mo'za azerinakuma aza vahekura anage huno zamasami'ne, Tamagra bainati kazinknonu'ene kumpa kanonu kumzafa vahe'ma azerinakuma hiaza hutma hara renantenaku neazo?
Then, turning to the Chief Priests and Officers in charge at the Temple and Councillors, who had come for him, he said: “Have you come out, as if after a robber, with swords and clubs?
53 Hakare zupa kna'ane kna'ane ra mono nompi tamagrane magopi mani'noana nazeori'naze. Hanki ama kna tamagrizane. Hanizamofo hanavemo'a agatere.
When I was with you day after day in the Temple Courts, you did not lay hands on me; but now your time has come, and the power of Darkness.”
54 Jisasina azerite'za avre'za ugota pristi ne'mofo nonte nevazageno, Pita'a zmavaririno ogamu'a e'ne.
Those who had taken Jesus prisoner took him away into the house of the High Priest. Peter followed at a distance.
55 Ugota pristi nemofo kuma amunompi teve hugrete'za, mani'nageno, anampi Pita'a zamagrane umani'ne.
But, when they had lit a fire in the centre of the court-yard and had all sat down there, Peter seated himself in the middle of them.
56 Mago eri'za mofamo'a Pita'ma teve anefate mani'negeno ke'nene huno negeno, ama nera Jisasi'ene nemania nere.
Presently a maidservant saw him sitting near the blaze of the fire. Fixing her eyes on him, she said: “Why, this man was one of his companions!”

But Peter denied it. “I do not know him,” he replied.

A little while afterwards some one else — a man — saw him and said: “Why, you are one of them!” “No,” Peter said, “I am not.”
59 Mago'a osi'a (aua) knama evigeno, mago ne'mo eno mago'ane hankavetino, ama nera agrane vano nehigena kenoa nere. Na'ankure agranena Galili ne' mani'ne.
About an hour later another man declared positively: “This man also was certainly with him. Why, he is a Galilean!”
60 Hianagi Pita'a anage hu'ne, ama ne'moka, nagra kena antahina osu'noa neku nehane nehigeno, kokorege hu'ne.
But Peter said: “I do not know what you are speaking about.” Instantly, while he was still speaking, a cock crowed.

And the Master turned and looked at Peter; and Peter remembered the words that the Master had said to him — “Before a cock has crowed to-day, you will disown me three times”;
62 Pita'a megi'a vuno tusiza huno zavi ome ate'ne.
and he went outside and wept bitterly.
63 Hagi Jisasima azeri'namo'za azanava ke hunente'za kano nemiza,
The men that held Jesus kept making sport of him and beating him.

They blindfolded him and then questioned him. “Now play the Prophet,” they said; “who was it that struck you?”

At daybreak the National Council met — both the Chief Priests and the Teachers of the Law — and took Jesus before their High Council.
67 Kagra Kraisiga maninenunka tasamio hazanagi, Jisasi'a anage huno zamasami'ne, Nagrama tamasamisugetma, tamentintia osugahaze.
“If you are the Christ,” they said, “tell us so.” “If I tell you,” replied Jesus, “you will not believe me;
68 Hanki Nagrama tamantahiganena, tamagra kenonani'a osugahaze. hu'ne.
and, if I question you, you will not answer.
69 Hianagi amaretima vaniana, Vahe'mofo Mofavremo'a, Anumzamofo hanavefi azantmaga'a kaziga manigahie. (Sam-Zga 110:1)
But from this hour ‘the Son of Man will be seated on the right hand of God Almighty.’”
70 Hige'za zamagra makamo'za hu'za, e'ina hu'negu kagra Anumzamofo mofavre mani'nampi? Hu'za hazageno, Tamagrama nehazana, izo Nagra anane, hige'za
“Are you, then, the Son of God?” they all asked. “It is true,” answered Jesus, “I am.”
71 anante zamagra hu'za, mago'enena na'ane hanigeta antahisunku antahigegahune. Na'ankure tagra nentahunkeno Agra'a agipinti Anumzamofo mofavre mani'noe hu'ne.
At this they exclaimed: “Why do we want any more evidence? We have heard it ourselves from his own lips!”
