And as He went into the house of one of the chief of the pharisees to eat on the sabbath-day, and they were watching Him,
2 Ana higeno avuga mago nera avufga zore krimo azeri haviza hu'nea ne' mani'ne.
behold, there was a certain man before Him that had a dropsy.
3 Kasegere ugota hu'naza vahe ene, Farisi vahera Jisasi'a anage huno zmantahigene. Mani fruhu knazupa (Sabat) knare vahera zamazeri so'e hugahumpi osugahune?
And Jesus spake to the expounders of the law and to the pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath-day?
4 Hianagi zamagra ke osu manizageno, ana nera avufare azerino kri'a azeri so'e huteno huntegeno vu'ne.
but they made no answer. And He took him and healed him, and sent him away:
5 Ana huteno anage huno zamasami'ne, Inamoka mofavrekamo'o bulimakao afukamo ti afi kerifi uraminenigenka, mani fruhu (Sabati) knazupa ame hunka ome avare anaga otegahano?
and said unto them, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fall into a pit, and will not immediately draw him out even on the sabbath-day?
6 Zamagra ana kemofo nona'a hugara osu'naze.
and they were not able to answer Him again to these things.
And He spake a parable to those that were invited, observing how they chose the chief seats, saying unto them,
When thou art invited by any one to a wedding, do not sit down in the uppermost place, least one more honorable than thou be invited by him;
9 Hagi ana taregamota tanagi hu'nesimo eno, traka'a ama ne' amio huno hanigenka, kagazegu nehunka atrenka refarega umanigahane.
and he who invited thee and him, should come and say to thee, Give place to this person, and then thou begin with shame to take the lowest place.
10 Tamagima hanigetma vanutma henka trate umani'nenkeno, tamagima higeta vu'nazamo'ma esuno'a, anage huno hugahie. Ronenimota, enagagateho hanigetma, maka trate'ma mani'naza vahe zmufina ra tmagia erigahaze.
But when thou art invited, go and sit down at the lowest place, that, when he who invited thee cometh, he may say to thee, Friend, go up higher: then wilt thou have honor before them that sit at table with thee:
11 Na'ankure maka vahe'mo'za zmavufga ra hanamokizmia, Anumzamo'a zamazeri fenka tregahie. Hianagi zamagra zmavufga anteramisamokizmia, Anumzamo'a zamazeri sga hugahie.
for whosoever exalteth himself shall be humbled, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
He said also to him that had invited Him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, do not invite thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kindred, nor thy rich neighbors; least they invite thee again, and so a return be made thee.
13 Hu'neanagi ra nezama retroma nehanunka, zmunte omne vahe'ene, agia aza stinesia vahe'ene, aga havizahu vahe'ene, avusu hu'nesnia vahe kea huge'za eho.
But when thou makest a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind; and thou shalt be happy;
because they have not wherewith to requite thee: for a recompense shall be given thee at the resurrection of the just.
15 Mago'mo nezane trate zamaza tununte mani'nafinti ana kema hia nentahino, anage huno Jisasina asmi'ne. Maka vahe'mo'za Anumzamofo Kumapima bretima nesamo'za asomu erigahaze!
And one of those; who sat at table with Him, hearing these things, said unto Him, Happy is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
(Mat 22:1-10)
Upon which He said, A certain man made a great supper and invited many;
and sent his servant at supper-time to say to them that were invited, Come, for all things are now ready.
Nagra mago mopa mizasenoa ome kegahuankina, nasunku huanki ovugahue.
And they all with one consent began to make excuses; the first said, I have bought a field, and I must go and see it, pray have me excused.
19 Anante'mo'a anage hu'ne, 10ni'a hoza eri bulimakao miza sentenorega vu'na ome avame ante'na kegahuankina, nasunku huanki omegahue.
And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and am going to try them, pray have me excused.
And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
21 Ana kazokzo eriza ne'mo rukrehe huno kva'amofonte eno eme asmi'geno, kva nemo'a rimpa hegeno, ana kazokzo eri'za nera anage huno asmi'ne. Ame hunka ra kumamofo osi kampine ra kampine nevunka, afufenozmi omne'nesnia vahe'ene, zmagia zamaza stinesia vahe'ene, zamaga haviza hu'nesnaza vahe'ene, zamavu asu hu'nesnia vahe'ene zamavarenka amare eno huno hunte'ne.
So the servant came and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go directly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the lame, and the blind.
22 Anante kazokzo eri'za ne'mo'a huno kva'nimoka, kema hunantanazana hago huanagi nompina mago'a kankamuna me'ne higeno,
And the servant said, Sir, it is done according to thine order, and still there is room.
And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the high-ways and hedges, and press them to come in, that my house may be filled:
24 Na'ankure Nagra anage hu'na negasamue, magore hu'za ko'ma zamagima hu'noa vahe'mo'za, nezani'afintira onetfa hugahaze.
for I tell you, that none of those men who were invited, shall taste of my supper.
25 Jisasina tusi'a vea krerfamo'za amage avaririza nevazageno, rukrehe huno amanage huno zamasmi'ne.
Now there were great multitudes going along with Him:
26 Mago'mo Nagrite enaku nehuno, nefane nererane a'amofone, mofavre'ane afuhe'ine, asarehe'ine, agra'agu'enema ha'ma reontesimo'a, Nagri disaipol omanigahie.
so he turned and said to them, If any man come to me, and does not comparatively hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea and his own life too, he cannot be my disciple.
27 Iza'o agra'a keka zafa erigofino Nagri namage omesimo'a, Nagri disaipol omanigahie.
And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and follow me, cannot be my disciple.
28 Iza'o tmagripintima zaza noma kinaku hanuno'a, kotazana manineno nama'a zagonu nona ki vagaregahue huno refako huno keteno nona kino.
For who of you that hath a mind to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the expence, whether he hath wherewithal to perfect it?
29 Za'za no kinaku eri agafa huno tra'a tro hunteteno, kivaga oresigeno, kesnaza vahe'mo'za hunte'za agiza nere'za,
least having laid a foundation and not being able to finish,
30 ama ne'mo'a knare huno nona agafa hianagi, nona kivagaregara osie hu'za hugahaze.
all that see it, should deride him, saying, this man began to build and was not able to finish.
31 Hagi mago kini ne'mo'ma, mago kini ne'ma ha'ma ome huntenakura, esera mani'neno antahino nagrira 10 tauseni'a sondia vaheni'a maninazankita 20 tauseni'a sondia vahe'mo'zama ha'ma eme hurantesaza vahera zmageteregahumpi, zmagete oregahune huno refko huno nege.
Or what king, going to engage with another king in battle, doth not sit down first and consult, whether he be able with ten thousand men to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
and if not, while he is yet far off, he sendeth an embassy, and desireth conditions of peace.
33 Ana hu'negu mago'mo'e huno, mikozama'amofo amagena huomisimo'a, Nagri disaipol omanigahie.
So, every one of you, that doth not give up all that he hath, cannot be my disciple.
34 Hagemo'a knare hu'neanagi, haga'ama omnena, ete inankna huno haga'a erigahie?
Salt is good; but if the salt have lost it's savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
35 E'i haviza hu'neno mopamofonena masevena amigara osu'neankino, atresigeno amnezankna hugahie. Iza'o agesa me'nenigeno nentahisimo'a, atregeno agesa antahise hino.
it is neither fit for the land, nor for the dunghil; but they throw it away. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
