1 Hagi anante Jerubali'ene (Gidioni mago agi'e) sondia vahe'anena nanterame oti'za Harodi tinkenafi seli nona ome ki'naze. Hagi Midieni sondia vahe'mo'za noti kaziga, Morea agonamofo agafima me'nea agupofi seli nona ome ki'naze.
And Jerobaal rose early, the same is Gedeon, and all the people with him, and encamped at the fountain of Arad; and the camp of Madiam was to the north of him, [reaching] from Gabaathamorai, in the valley.
2 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'a Gidioninkura amanage huno asami'ne, Tamatre'nugeta rama'a sondia vahe'mota Midieni vahera hara huozamantegahaze. Ana maka'motama ha'ma hanazana, Israeli vahe'mo'za tagra hankavere Midieni vahera zamaheta taguravazune hu'za zamavufa ra hugahaze.
And the Lord said to Gedeon, The people with you [are] many, so that I may not deliver Madiam into their hand, lest at any time Israel boast against me, saying, My hand has saved me.
3 E'ina hu'negu menina huama hunka mika vahera zamasamio, izago koroma hunka kahirahima resimoka, Giliati agona atrenka nontega vuo hunka huzamanto. E'inage higeno 22 tauseni'a vahe'mo'za atre'za nontega vazageno, 10 tauseni'age mani'naze.
And now speak in the ears of the people, saying, Who [is] afraid and fearful? let him turn and depart from mount Galaad: and there returned of the people twenty-two thousand, and ten thousand were left.
4 Hianagi Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno Gidionina asami'ne, Zahufa rama'a vahe kagri'enena mani'naze. Hagi ana maka zamavarenka timpi uramige'na rezamahe'na nege'na, e'i'a vahe vugahie hu'nama hanua vaheke vugahazanki, e'i'a vahera ovugahazema hanua vahe'mo'za kagri'enena ovugahaze.
And the Lord said to Gedeon, The people is yet numerous; bring them down to the water, and I will purge them there for you: and it shall come to pass that of whoever I shall say to you, This one shall go with you, [even] he shall go with you; and of whoever I shall say to you, This one shall not go with you, [even] he shall not go with you.

And he brought the people down to the water; and the Lord said to Gedeon, Whosoever shall lap of the water with his tongue as if a dog should lap, you shall set him apart, and [also] whoever shall bow down upon his knees to drink.
6 Hagi ana'ma higeno'a 300'age vahe'mo'zage zamazantetira tina ankehi'za kramo'ma nehiaza hu'za zamagefunaretira ne'naze. Hianagi ana maka vahe'mo'za zamarenare'za pri hu'za tima enevifinti ne'naze.
And the number of those that lapped with their hand to their mouth was three hundred men; and all the rest of the people bowed upon their knees to drink water.
7 Hagi anante Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno Gidionina asami'ne, Ama 300'a nagapi kaza hu'na Midieni vahera avre kazampi anta'nena hara hu zamagateregahane. Hanki mago'a vahera huzamantege'za nozmirega viho.
And the Lord said to Gedeon, I will save you by the three hundred men that lapped, and I will give Madiam into your hand; and all the [rest of the] people shall go every one to his place.
8 Anagema higeno'a Gidioni'a ruga'a sondia vahe'mokizmi nanazantamine ufentaminena e'nerino huzmantege'za seli nozmirega nevazageno, 300'a vaheke zamavarege'za agri'enena vu'naze. Hagi Midieni vahe'mokizmi seli nonkumara fenkamu agupofi me'nege'za, Gidioni naga'mo'za anagamu emani'naze.
And they took the provision of the people in their hand, and their horns; and he sent away every man of Israel each to his tent, and he strengthened the three hundred; and the army of Madiam were beneath him in the valley.
9 Hagi ana kenagera Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno Gidionina asami'ne, Otinka Midieni vahe seli nonkumapi uraminka hara ome huzmanto! Na'ankure Nagra ko Midieni vahera kagri kazampi zamavarente'noe.
And it came to pass in that night that the Lord said to him, Arise, go down into the camp, for I have delivered it into your hand.
10 Hianagi fenamu anampima urami zanku'ma koro'ma hanunka, eri'za vaheka'a Pura'ene uraminka,
And if you are afraid to go down, go down you and your servant Phara into the camp.
11 na'aneoma hanazankea antahitenka e'ire hankavea erinka hara huzmantegahane. Anagema higeno'a Gidioni'a eri'za vahe'a Purana nevreno uramino ha' vahe'amo'za seli nonku'ma kiza mani'naza kuma atuparega vu'na'e.
And you shall hear what they shall say, and afterwards your hands shall be strong, and you shall go down into the camp: and he went down and Phara his servant to the extremity of the [companies of] fifty, which were in the camp.

And Madiam and Amalec and all the children of the east [were] scattered in the valley, as the locust for multitude; and there was no number to their camels, but they were as the sand on the seashore for multitude.

And Gedeon came, and behold a man [was] relating to his neighbor a dream, and he said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream, and behold, a cake of barley bread rolling into the camp of Madiam, and it came as far as a tent, and struck it, and it fell, and it turned it up, and the tent fell.

And his neighbor answered and said, This is none other than the sword of Gedeon, son of Joas, a man of Israel: God has delivered Madiam and all the host into his hand.
15 Hagi ana ava'na kene, ana ava'nama eri ama hianke'ma Gidioni'ma nentahino'a, Ra Anumzamofo avuga renareno mono hunte'ne. Ana huteno ete Israeli vahe seli nonkumatega vuno amanage huno ome kezatine, otiho! Na'ankure Ra Anumzamo'a ko Midieni sondia vahetamina tagri tazampi hago zamavarente'ne.
And it came to pass when Gedeon heard the account of the dream and the interpretation of it, that he worshipped the Lord, and returned to the camp of Israel, and said, Rise, for the Lord has delivered the camp of Madiam into our hand.
16 Hagi Gidioni'a ana 300'a vahera 3'afi refko huno magoke magoke vahera ufemare pazive'ene mopa kavofi tavira anteno zamitere hu'ne.
And he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and put horns in the hands of all, and empty pitchers, and torches in the pitchers:

and he said to them, You shall look at me, and so shall you do; and behold, I will go into the beginning of the host, and it shall come to pass [that] as I do, so shall you do.

And I will sound with the horn, and all you with me shall sound with the horn round about the whole camp, and you shall say, For the Lord and Gedeon.
19 Hagi kenage amu'nona Midieni vahe seli nonkumate'ma kvama hu'naza sondia vahe'mo'za vazageno, kasefa vahe'ma eme zamazama hazageno'a, Gidioni'ene 100'a vahe'enena Midieni vahe seli nonku'ma atumparega e'naze. And Gedeon and the hundred men that were with him came to the extremity of the army in the beginning of the middle watch; and they completely roused the guards, and sounded with the horns, and they broke the pitchers that were in their hands,
20 Ana'ma hazage'za ana maka 3'a kevuma hu'za mani'naza vahe'mo'za, ana zanke hu'naze. Hoga'a zamazampina tavi azeneri'za, tamaga zamazampina ufema resaza pazive eri'ne'za amanage hu'za kezati'naze, Ra Anumzamofone Gidionigizni bainati kazinknone!
and the three companies sounded with the horns, and broke the pitchers, and held the torches in their left hands, and in their right hands their horns to sound with; and they cried out, A sword for the Lord and for Gedeon.
21 Anagema hu'za ke'zama neti'za, oti'za manigagine'za nezmagage'za ana seli nonkumapima mase'naza Midieni vahe'mo'za oti'za tusi zamanogu nehu'za, krafage hu'za koro fre'naze.
And [every] man stood in his place round about the host; and all the host ran, and sounded [an alarm], and fled.
22 Hagi 300'a Israeli vahe'mo'zama ufema razageno'a Midieni vahe antahintahia Ra Anumzamo'a zamazeri savari hige'za, zamagra zamagra bainati kazinkno ha' hu'naze. Hagi ana ha'ma hazafima hazenkema e'ori'za sondia vahe'mo'za fre'za Bet-Sita kumate Zerera kaziga Abel-mehola mopa atumpare Tabati kuma tavaonte vu'naze.
And they sounded with the three hundred horns; and the Lord set [every] man's sword in all the host against his neighbor.
23 Hagi Gidioni'a Israeli vahepintira Naftali naga'ma, Aseli naga'ma, Manase naga'ma huno kehige'za e'za emeri mago hute'za, Midieni vahera zamarotago hu'naze.
And the host fled as far as Bethseed Tagaragatha Abel-meula to Tabath; and the men of Israel from Nephthali, and from Aser, and from all Manasse, came to help, and followed after Madiam.
24 Hagi Gidioni'a Efraemi naga'ma agona mopafima nemaniza naga'enenkura amanage huno kea atrezmante'ne, eramita Midieni vahe'mo'zama Jodani timo'ma kahesama hu'nere'ma Bet-Bara kumate'ma taka nehazare eme zamavagta huta hara eme huzmanteho. Anagema higeno'a Efraemi naga'mo'za anama hiaza hu'naze.
And Gedeon sent messengers into all mount Ephraim, saying, Come down to meet Madiam, and take to yourselves the water as far as Baethera and Jordan: and every man of Ephraim cried out, and they took the water before hand to Baethera and Jordan.
25 Hagi ana nehu'za tare Midieni kva netrena Orebine Zibi kizania zanazeri'za, Orebina Oreb havere ahenefriza, Zibina Zibi kumate wainima regatati'ma nehazafi ahefri'naze. And they took the princess of Madiam, even Oreb and Zeb; and they killed Oreb in Sur Oreb, and they killed Zeb in Jakephzeph; and they pursued Madiam, and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeb to Gedeon from beyond Jordan.
