1 Hagi 40'a kafuma evigeno'a ete Israeli vahe'mo'za Ra Anumzamofo avurera havi zamavu'zamava hu'naze. E'ina hazageno'a Ra Anumzamo'a Midieni vahe zamazampi Israeli vahera zamavarentegeno, 7ni'a kafufi kegava huzmante'naze.
And the sons of Israel do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and Jehovah giveth them into the hand of Midian seven years,
2 Ana'ma higeno'a Midieni vahe'mo'za hanavenentake hu'za Israeli vahera zamazeri havizantfa hazageno, Israeli vahe'mo'za agona agona franeki'za, havegampine, vihuma hunte'nazafine fraki'naze.
and the hand of Midian is strong against Israel, from the presence of Midian have the sons of Israel made for themselves the flowings which [are] in the mountains, and the caves, and the strongholds.
3 Hagi Israeli vahe'mo'zama hozama antazageno'a, Midieni vahe'ma, Ameleki vahe'ma, zage hanati kazigati vahe'ma hu'za eme hara huzamante'naze.
And it hath been, if Israel hath sowed, that Midian hath come up, and Amalek, and the sons of the east, yea, they have come up against him,
4 Ana mopafi seli nona eme ki'za mani'ne'za maka hozazimia agu'za ru'za vu'za Gaza mopare ome atre'naze. Magore hu'za Israeli vahe'mofo zana otre'za maka sipisipi afu'ma, meme afu'ma, bulimakao afu'ma, Donki afutaminena avre vagare'za vu'naze.
and encamp against them, and destroy the increase of the land till thine entering Gaza; and they leave no sustenance in Israel, either sheep, or ox, or ass;

for they and their cattle come up, with their tents; they come in as the fulness of the locust for multitude, and of them and of their cattle there is no number, and they come into the land to destroy it.
6 E'ina hu'za Israeli vahera zamazeri haviza hazage'za, Israeli vahe'mo'za tusi zamagaku nehu'za zamazama hinogura Ra Anumzamofontega zavi krafage hu'naze.
And Israel is very weak from the presence of Midian, and the sons of Israel cry unto Jehovah.
7 Hagi Midieni vahe'mo'zama zamazeri havizama hazageno'a Israeli vahe'mo'za zamazama hanigura Ra Anumzamofontega krafagea hazageno,
And it cometh to pass when the sons of Israel have cried unto Jehovah, concerning Midian,
8 Ra Anumzamo'a kasanampa ne' huntegeno Israeli vahetega eno amanage eme hu'ne, Ra Anumzana Israeli vahe Anumzamo'a amanage hie, Isipima kazokzo eri'zama e'nerita mani'nazage'na, Nagra ana kazokzo erizampintira tamavre'na atirami'noe.
that Jehovah sendeth a man, a prophet, unto the sons of Israel, and he saith to them, 'Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, I — I have brought you up out of Egypt, and I bring you out from a house of servants,
9 Isipi vahe'mofo zamazampinti'ene knama tamiza tamazeri havizama nehaza vahe'mokizmi zamazampintira Nagra tamagura vazi'na tamavre'na e'na ama mopafima mani'naza ha' vahetimia eme zamahe kasopenetre'na, ama mopa eri tami'noe.
and I deliver you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all your oppressors, and I cast them out from your presence, and I give to you their land,
10 Hagi amanage hu'na neramasamue, Nagra Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumza mani'noanki, ama mani'naza mopafi Amori vahe anumzantaminkura korora osiho hu'na hu'noanagi, Nagri kea ontahita ke'ni'a rutagre'naze huno hu'ne.
and I say to you, I [am] Jehovah your God, ye do not fear the gods of the Amorite in whose land ye are dwelling: — and ye have not hearkened to My voice.'
11 Anante Ra Anumzamofo ankeromo'a eno, Ofra kumate oki zafa agafare emani'ne. Hagi Abiezeri nagapinti ne' Joasi nemofo Gidioni'a Midieni vahe'mo'zama witi'ama erizanku koro huno wainima regatati'ma nehaza kerifi mani'neno, witi hona'a refuzafupe'ne.
And the messenger of Jehovah cometh and sitteth under the oak which [is] in Ophrah, which [is] to Joash the Abi-Ezrite, and Gideon his son is beating out wheat in the wine-press, to remove [it] from the presence of the Midianites;
12 Ra Anumzamofo ankeromo'a Gidioninte ehanatino amanage hu'ne. Hankavenentake sondia nera, Ra Anumzamo'a kagri'ene mani'ne.
and the messenger of Jehovah appeareth unto him, and saith unto him, 'Jehovah [is] with thee, O mighty one of valour.'
13 Anante Gidioni'a kenona huno, ramoke, Ra Anumzamo'ma tagranema mani'negeno'a nahigeno amanahu zana tagritera efore nehie? Hagi Ra Anumzamo'ma erifore hige'za tagehe'zama tasami'naza kaguva zana iga me'ne? Isipitira Ra Anumzamo'a tavreno e'neanangi, menina Ra Anumzamo'a avresra huranteno Midieni vahe zamazampintira tavrente'ne.
And Gideon saith unto him, 'O, my lord — and Jehovah is with us! — and why hath all this found us? and where [are] all His wonders which our fathers recounted to us, saying, Hath not Jehovah brought us up out of Egypt? and now Jehovah hath left us, and doth give us into the hand of Midian.'
14 Anante Ra Anumzamo'a rukrahe huno amanage huno asami'ne, Midieni vahe zamazampintira hankavema eri'nana hankavenu ome ha' hunka Israeli vahera zamagu'vaziogu Nagra hunegantoe.
And Jehovah turneth unto him and saith, 'Go in this — thy power; and thou hast saved Israel out of the hand of Midian — have not I sent thee.'
15 Hianagi Gidioni'a amanage huno kenona hu'ne, Ra Anumzamoka, inankna hu'na Israeli vahera zamagura vazigahue? Manase naga'nofipina nagri nagara zamigi omane naga'manizageno, nenfa mofavreramimpina nagra amite'na mofavre mani'noe.
And he saith unto him, 'O, my lord, wherewith do I save Israel? lo, my chief [is] weak in Manasseh, and I the least in the house of my father.'
16 Higeno Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno asami'ne, Nagra kagrane mani'nenugenka, Midieni vahera magoke vahe'ma aheaza hunka zamahehana hugahane.
And Jehovah saith unto him, 'Because I am with thee — thou hast smitten the Midianites as one man.'
17 Anagema higeno'a Gidioni'a amanage huno Ra Anumzamofona kenona hunte'ne, Nagra kagri kavurema knare'ma hu'nenugenka tamage hunka nazama hunaku'ma hanunka, mago avame'za naveri huge'na tamage Ra Anumzamoka nehane hu'na ha'neno.
And he saith unto Him, 'If, I pray Thee, I have found grace in Thine eyes, then Thou hast done for me a sign that Thou art speaking with me.
18 Muse hugantoanki natrenka ovunege'na ofani'a eri'na eme kami'neno, higeno Ra Anumzamo'a huno, ama anante mani'nenugenka etesanke'na vugahuanki vuo.
Move not, I pray Thee, from this, till my coming in unto Thee, and I have brought out my present, and put it before Thee;' and he saith, 'I — I do abide till thy return.'
19 Anage'ma higeno'a Gidioni'a ame'ama huno nontega vuno, agaho meme afu ome aheno negreno, zisti onte bretine kre'ne. Hagi ana meme afu'ene zisti onte bretinena ekaeka kupi erinerino afu'ma kre'nea tima'a kavofi tagino e'nerino eazamo ra zafamofo agafafi ana ankeromofo avuga eme ante'ne.
And Gideon hath gone in, and prepareth a kid of the goats, and of an ephah of flour unleavened things; the flesh he hath put in a basket, and the broth he hath put in a pot, and he bringeth out unto Him, unto the place of the oak, and bringeth [it] nigh.
20 Hagi anante Ra Anumzamofo ankeromo'a anage huno asmi'ne, Amu ana afu'ene zisti onte bretinena erinka have agofetu ante'nenka afu tima'a ana agofetu tagitro, higeno Gidioni'a ana hu'ne.
And the messenger of God saith unto him, 'Take the flesh and the unleavened things, and place on this rock — and the broth pour out;' and he doth so.
21 Anante Ra Anumzamofo ankeromo'a azampima eri'nea azotareti ana afu'ene bretinena avako higeno, ana havefintira teve rukru huno ana maka ne'zana tefanane hu'ne. Ana higeno ana ankeromo'a agranena rufanane hu'ne.
And the messenger of Jehovah putteth forth the end of the staff which [is] in His hand, and cometh against the flesh, and against the unleavened things, and the fire goeth up out of the rock and consumeth the flesh and the unleavened things — and the messenger of Jehovah hath gone from his eyes.
22 Hagi Gidioni'ma Ra Anumzamofo ankerone huno keno antahinoma nehuno'a, amanage huno ran ke hu'ne, Ra Anumzamoka nagra frigahue! Na'ankure Ra Anumzamoka ankero ke'noe.
And Gideon seeth that He [is] a messenger of Jehovah, and Gideon saith, 'Alas, Lord Jehovah! because that I have seen a messenger of Jehovah face to face!'
23 Hianagi Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno asmi'ne, ofrigosananki korora osunka krimpa frune akohenka manio.
And Jehovah saith to him, 'Peace to thee; fear not; thou dost not die.'
24 Anage higeno Gidioni'a anante kresramna vu ita tro huno agi'a Ra Anumzana Rimpa Fru Nere (Yawe-Shalom) huno ante'ne. Hagi ana kresramna vu ita Abiesa nagamofo mopafi Ofra kumate menina otino me'ne.
And Gideon buildeth there an altar to Jehovah, and calleth it Jehovah-Shalom, unto this day it [is] yet in Ophrah of the Abi-Ezrites.
25 Hagi ana kenagera Ra Anumzamo'a Gidionina amanage huno asmi'ne, Negafa bulimakao afu kevufintira mago nevrenka namba 2 bulimakao afu'ma avre'nanana 7ni'a kafu hu'nesia afu avro. Hagi negafa'ma Bali havi anumzante'ma kresramna vunte itama tro'ma hunte'neana tapage hunetrenka, Asera havi anumzamofo amema'ama zafama antre'za ana tava'onte'ma retru re'nazana antaginka kitaginkotago hutro.
And it cometh to pass, on that night, that Jehovah saith to him, 'Take the young ox which [is] to thy father, and the second bullock of seven years, and thou hast thrown down the altar of Baal which [is] to thy father, and the shrine which [is] by it thou dost cut down,
26 Hagi Ra Anumzamofo kresramna vu ita haverera tro hutenka, ana Asera havi anumzama retrure'ne'za mono'ma hunentaza zafama antaginkama kitagi'nana zafareti ana kresramna vu itare tevea hanavazinka, namba 2 bulimakao afura ahenka, tevefima kre fananehu ofa hugahane.
and thou hast built an altar to Jehovah thy God on the top of this stronghold, by the arrangement, and hast taken the second bullock, and caused to ascend a burnt-offering with the wood of the shrine which thou cuttest down.'
27 Anage higeno Gidioni'a 10ni'a eri'za vahe'a nezamavreno Ra Anumzmo'ma asamiaza hu'ne. Hianagi nefa nagaku'ene ana kumapima nemaniza vaheku koro nehuno ferura anazana osu'neanki, kenage ana zana tro hu'ne.
And Gideon taketh ten men of his servants, and doth as Jehovah hath spoken unto him, and it cometh to pass, because he hath been afraid of the house of his father, and the men of the city, to do [it] by day, that he doth [it] by night.
28 Hagi ana'ma hutegeno'a ana kumapi ma nanterama oti'zama kazana, Bali havi anumzante'ma kresramnama nevaza ita taganavazi netreno, Asera havi anumzamofo ame'ma'a zafare'ma tro hu'za retrurente'nezama mono'ma hunentaza zafaramina maka antagi atrevaga nere'za kasefa kresramna vu ita trohu'za namba 2 bulimakao afura kresramna vu'nazage'za ke'naze.
And the men of the city rise early in the morning, and lo, broken down hath been the altar of Baal, and the shrine which is by it hath been cut down, and the second bullock hath been offered on the altar which is built.
29 Anazama nege'za ana vahe'mo'za ontahige antahige hu'za, i'za ama zana tro hu'ne? hu'za hu'naze. Hagi henkama rezagane so'e hu'za hake'za erifore'ma hazana, Joasi nemofo Gidioni anara hu'ne, hu'za hu'naze.
And they say one to another, 'Who hath done this thing?' and they inquire and seek, and they say, 'Gideon son of Joash hath done this thing.'
30 Anante ana kumapima nemaniza vahe'mo'za amanage hu'za Joasina asami'naze, Negamofona avrenka egeta ahamanenkeno frino. Na'ankure agra Bali anumzante'ma kresramna nevuna ita tagnavazi netreno, Asera anumzante'ma mono'ma hunentona zafa antagi tre'ne.
And the men of the city say unto Joash, 'Bring out thy son, and he dieth, because he hath broken down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the shrine which [is] by it.'
31 Hianagi Joasi'a ranke huno ana vahetmina amanage huno zamazerikori'ne, Nagafare Bali havi anumzana ahora nekaze? Bali havi anumza aza hu'za nehazo? Bali havi anumzama ahomake'naza vahera nanterama komatinigeta fri vagaregahaze. Hagi agra anumzama mani'nenuno'a, agra'a ahora kegahie. Na'ankure agrite'ma kresramnama nevaza ita tagana vazitre'naze.
And Joash saith to all who have stood against him, 'Ye, do ye plead for Baal? ye — do ye save him? he who pleadeth for him is put to death during the morning; if he [is] a god he himself doth plead against him, because he hath broken down his altar.'
32 E'ina hige'za ana knazupa Gidioni agi'a Jerub-bali'e hu'za antemi'naze. Hagi ana agimofo aguagesa'amo'a amana hu'ne, atregeno Bali anumzamo'a agra'a ahora keno, na'ankure agri Kresramana vu ita tagana vazitre'ne.
And he calleth him, on that day, Jerubbaal, saying, 'The Baal doth plead against him, because he hath broken down his altar.'
33 Hagi Midieni vahe'ma, Ameleki vahe'ma zagehanati kazigati vahe'ma hu'za, Israeli vahe ha'huzamante'naku erimago hute'za Jodani tina takahe'za Jezril agupofi seli nona eme ki'naze.
And all Midian and Amalek and the sons of the east have been gathered together, and pass over, and encamp in the valley of Jezreel,
34 Hianagi Ra Anumzamofo Avamu'mo Gidionintera emani'negeno ufena rege'za, Abieseli naga'mo'za hate avaririza vu'naku e'naze.
and the Spirit of Jehovah hath clothed Gideon, and he bloweth with a trumpet, and Abi-Ezer is called after him;
35 Hagi Manasema, Aserima, Zebulonima, Naftali nagateganena kea atrezamantage'za ana makamo'za ha'ma huga vahetamina agritega emareri'naze.
and messengers he hath sent into all Manasseh, and it also is called after him; and messengers he hath sent into Asher, and into Zebulun, and into Naphtali, and they come up to meet them.
36 Hagi anante Gidioni'a amanage huno Ra Anumzamofona asami'ne, Kagrama huhamprinante'nana kante'ma tamage hunka nagri'ma naza hanankena ha'ma hu'na Israeli vahe'ma zamaguvazinaku'ma hanugenka,
And Gideon saith unto God, 'If Thou art Saviour of Israel by my hand, as Thou hast spoken,
37 amana huge'na ka'neno. Meni kenagera witima neharaza kumapina sipisipi afu azokara antegahue. Hanki tamage hunkama naza hananke'na ha'ma hu'na Israeli vahe'ma zamagu'vazinaku hanugenka, ana sipisipi afu azokatera atregeno atara runentena, mopamo'a hagege hu'nena ka'neno. Nanterama ke'nuama sipisipi afu azokate'ma ata'ma ahenenigeno mopamo'ma hagagema hunenige'na, huhamprinante'nana kante antenka naza hunka Israeli vahera zamagu vazigahane hu'na antahi'neno.
lo, I am placing the fleece of wool in the threshing-floor: if dew is on the fleece alone, and on all the earth drought — then I have known that Thou dost save Israel by my hand, as Thou hast spoken;'
38 Hagi Gidioni'ma nanterama otino ome keana anaza fore hu'negeno ke'ne. Ana Sipisipi afu azokara omerino tatiana, timo'a mago zuompa avite'ne.
and it is so, and he riseth early on the morrow, and presseth the fleece, and wringeth dew out of the fleece — the fulness of the bowl, of water.
39 Anante Gidioni'a Anumzamofona amanage huno asami'ne, Mago'ene kantahige'za huanki krimpa aheonanto. Ete ama ana sipisipi afu azokara ome antegahuanki, mopafinke ata kora runentenkeno, sipisipi afu azokatera ruontenke'na ka'neno.
And Gideon saith unto God, 'Let not Thine anger burn against me, and I speak only this time; let me try, I pray Thee, only this time with the fleece — let there be, I pray Thee, drought on the fleece alone, and on all the earth let there be dew.'
40 Anage higeno Ra Anumzamo'a ana kenagera higeno mopafina ata kora runte'ne. Hianagi ana sipisipi afu azokamo'a hagage huno me'ne.
And God doth so on that night, and there is drought on the fleece alone, and on all the earth there hath been dew.
