< Jasi Vahere 2 >
1 Hagi Ra Anumzamofo ankeromo'a Gilgali kumatetira atreno Bokimi kumate marerino vuno Israeli nagara amanage huno ome zamasami'ne.
The angel of Jehovah came up from Gilgal to Bochim. He said, "I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you to the land which I swore to your fathers; and I said, 'I will never break my covenant with you:
2 Hagi tamagra ama ana mopafi vahe'enena huhagerafi huvempa kea nosuta, Kresramanama nevaza ita'zamia tagana'vazitreho hu'na hu'noanagi, ana keni'a ontahi'naze. Nahigeta amanara nehaze?
and you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall break down their altars.' But you have not listened to my voice: why have you done this?
Therefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you, but they will become your adversaries, and their gods shall be a snare to you."
It happened, when the angel of Jehovah spoke these words to all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.
5 Hagi ana kuma agi'a Bokimie hu'za agi'a nente'za, Ra Anumzamofontega Kresramana vunte'naze.
They called the name of that place Bochim: and they sacrificed there to Jehovah.
Now when Joshua had sent the people away, the children of Israel went every man to his inheritance to possess the land.
The people served Jehovah all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great work of Jehovah that he had worked for Israel.
8 Nuni nemofo Josua'a 110ni'a zagekafu huteno frige'za,
Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Jehovah, died, being one hundred ten years old.
9 agrama erisantima hare'nea Efraemi agona kaziga Gasi agonamofo noti kaziga Timnat-Sera kumate ome asente'naze.
They buried him in the territory of his inheritance in Timnath Serah, in the hill country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.
10 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'ma Israeli vahete'ma kaguvazama eri fore hige'zama ke'naza vahe'tmina maka fri vagaregeno, ana zantmima onke'naza vahe'tmi efore hu'naze.
And all that generation were also gathered to their fathers. And there arose another generation after them who did not know Jehovah, nor the works which he had done for Israel.
11 Hagi Israeli vahe'mo'za Ra Anumzamofo avufi havi zmavuzmava hu'za Bali havi anumzantamimofo monora huzmante'naze.
The children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and served the Baals;
Hagi havi anumzamofo Bali amema'are'ene Astaroti havi anumzamofo amema'are'ene monora huntageno, Ra Anumzamo'a tusi rimpa ahe'zamante'ne.
and they forsook Jehovah, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them: and they provoked Jehovah to anger.
13 Na'ankure Ra Anumzamofona atre'za zamafi hunemi'za, Bali havi anumzante'ene Astaroti havi anumzamofo amema'are'ene monora hunte'naze.
They forsook Jehovah, and served Baal and the Ashtaroth.
14 Anama hazageno'a Ra Anumzamo'a tusi arimpa ahezmanteno, zamazeri havizama hu' vahe huzmantege'za mika'zazmia emeri'naze. E'ina nehuno ha' vahe zamazampi zamavarentege'za ha' vahe'mo'za kegava huzmante'naze.
The anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of marauders who plundered them; and he sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.
Wherever they went out, the hand of Jehovah was against them for harm, as Jehovah had spoken, and as Jehovah had sworn to them: and they were in great distress.
16 Anante Ra Anumzamo'a ke refkohu kva vahe zamazeri otige'za Israeli vahe'ma zamazeri havizama nehaza vahera zamahe'za Israeli vahera zamagu vazi'naze.
Jehovah raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those who plundered them.
Yet they did not listen to their judges; for they played the prostitute after other gods, and bowed themselves down to them: they turned aside quickly out of the way in which their fathers walked, obeying the commandments of Jehovah; but they did not do so.
18 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'ma keagama refko hu vahe'tmima zamazeri omanetino'a, zamagrane mani'nege'za keaga refko hu kva vahe'mo'za ha' vahe zamazampintira Israeli vahera hara hu'za zamavaretere hu'naze. Na'ankure Agri vahe'mo'zama knafima nemanizageno'a, Ra Anumzamo'a asunku huzmante'ne.
When Jehovah raised up judges for them, then Jehovah was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it grieved Jehovah because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.
But it happened, when the judge was dead, that they turned back, and dealt more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down to them; they did not cease from their practices, and they did not turn aside from their stubborn ways.
20 E'ina hazageno Ra Anumzamo'a tusi arimpa ahenezamanteno anage hu'ne, na'ankure ama vahe'mo'za zamafahe'inema huhagerafi'noa kasegea runetagre'za ke'ni'a ontahizagu,
The anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel; and he said, "Because this nation has transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not obeyed my voice;
21 Josuama zamahenati otre'neno'ma fri'nea vahe'tmina, Nagra zamaza osanuge'za, zamahenati otregahaze.
I will no longer drive out before them any of the nations that Joshua left when he died;
that by them I may test Israel, whether they will keep the way of Jehovah to walk in it, as their fathers kept it, or not."
23 E'igu Israeli vahe mopafima mani'naza vahera Ra Anumzamo'a ame hunora zamahe kasopeno Josua azampina zamavarente vaga'ore'ne.
So Jehovah left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.
