Then Joshua assembled all the tribes of Israel at Shechem. He summoned the elders, leaders, judges, and officers of Israel, and they presented themselves before God.

And Joshua said to all the people, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Long ago your fathers, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the Euphrates and worshiped other gods.

But I took your father Abraham from beyond the Euphrates and led him through all the land of Canaan, and I multiplied his descendants. I gave him Isaac,

and to Isaac I gave Jacob and Esau. I gave Esau Mount Seir to possess, but Jacob and his sons went down to Egypt.
5 Hanki anantera Mosesene Aroninena huzanantogeke Isipi vake'na, tusia knazanteti Isipi vahera zamazeri haviza nehu'na, tamagrira anampinti Nagra'a tamavre'na atiramino'e.
Then I sent Moses and Aaron, and I afflicted the Egyptians by what I did there, and afterward I brought you out.
6 Hanki Nagra tamafahe'ina Isipiti zamavare'na atirami'na hagerinkenare oge'za, Isipi vahe'mo'za karisine hosi afu agumpi mani'ne'za zamarotgo hu'za korankre hagerinte e'naze.
When I brought your fathers out of Egypt and you reached the Red Sea, the Egyptians pursued them with chariots and horsemen as far as the Red Sea.
7 Hianagi Ra Anumzamo'narega zamaza hanugu zavi krafage nehazage'na, zamagri'ene Isipi vahe amu'nozamifina haninku hugeno haninkino refko huzmante'ne. So your fathers cried out to the LORD, and He put darkness between you and the Egyptians, over whom He brought the sea and engulfed them. Your very eyes saw what I did to the Egyptians. Then you lived in the wilderness for a long time.

Later, I brought you to the land of the Amorites who lived beyond the Jordan. They fought against you, but I delivered them into your hand, that you should possess their land when I destroyed them before you.

Then Balak son of Zippor, the king of Moab, set out to fight against Israel. He sent for Balaam son of Beor to curse you,

but I would not listen to Balaam. So he blessed you again and again, and I delivered you from his hand.
11 Hanki tamagra Jodani tima takahetama Jerikoma azage'za, Jeriko kumate vahe'mo'za hara hurmante'naze. Ana zanke hu'za Amori vahe'ma, Perisi vahe'ma, Kenani vahe'ma, Hiti vahe'ma, Girgasi vahe'ma, Hivi vahe'ma, Jebusi vahe'mo'zanena hara hurmante'nazanagi, Nagra tamaza hu'na tamazampi zamavarentogeta hara huzmagatere'naze.
After this, you crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho. The people of Jericho fought against you, as did the Amorites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hittites, Girgashites, Hivites, and Jebusites, and I delivered them into your hand.
12 Hagi Nagra'a tamagritera vugote'na nevu'na ha' vahe'tmia zamatazamina, zamazeri koro hu'noe. Ana'ma huazamo higeke tare Amori kini netremokea korora fre'na'e. Tamagra'a bainati kazinteti'ene ati keve tamiretira hara huznanteta zanavre otre'naze.
I sent the hornet ahead of you, and it drove out the two Amorite kings before you, but not by your own sword or bow.
13 Hanki tamagra'a eri'zana e'ori'naza mopane, tamagra'a onki'naza ranra kumatamugeta nemanita, tamagra'a tamazampinti onkri'naza waini hozafinti'ene olivi hozafintira tagitma ne'naze.
So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities that you did not build, and now you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant.’
14 E'ina hu'negu menina Ra Anumzamofona koro huntetma tamagu'areti tamage hutma monora hunenteta eri'zana erinteho. Hagi timofo kantu kaziga Isipima tamagehe'zama mani'ne'za mono'ma hunte'naza havi anumzantamintera monora huonteta, Ra Anumzamofonke monora hunteho.
Now, therefore, fear the LORD and serve Him in sincerity and truth; cast aside the gods your fathers served beyond the Euphrates and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.
15 Hagi Ra Anumzamofo mono'ma hunenteta eri'zama erinte'zanku'ma tamavesrama hanigeta menina iza monora huntegahazafi huama hiho. Tamafahe'zama Yufretisi timofo kantu kaziga Mesapotomia mopare mono hunte'naza havi anumzante monora huntegahazafi, Amori vahe'ma mopazamifima emani'naza vahe'mokizmi havi anumzantaminte monora huntegahazo? Hianagi nagrane a'mofavre ni'anena, Ra Anumzamofo tagra monora hunenteta eri'zana erintegahune.
But if it is unpleasing in your sight to serve the LORD, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD!”
16 Anante ana maka vea kevumo'za kenona'a amanage hu'naze, tagra tamagerafa huta Ra Anumzana atreta mago'a havi anumzantera monora huozmantegahune.
The people replied, “Far be it from us to forsake the LORD to serve other gods!
17 Na'ankure Agra Ra Anumzana tagri Anumzamo Agra'a, tafahe'ine tagri'enena Isipi vahe kazokzo eri'zama erinezmantompintira tavreno etirami'ne. Ana huteno tavufinti negonkeno, ana maka kaguvazana eri fore nehuno, kama e'nompina hakare'a kuma vahe mani'nazanagi Anumzamo'a kva hurantegeta amu'nozmifina e'none.
For the LORD our God brought us and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, and performed these great signs before our eyes. He also protected us throughout our journey and among all the nations through which we traveled.
18 Hanki ko'ma ama mopafima mani'naza vahe'ene, Amori vahe'enena negonkeno Ra Anumzamo'a zamahenati atre'ne. E'ina hu'negu tagranena Ra Anumzamofo monora hunenteta eri'zama'a erintegahune. Na'ankure Agrake tagri Anumzana mani'ne.
And the LORD drove out before us all the nations, including the Amorites who lived in the land. We too will serve the LORD, because He is our God!”
19 Hanki Josua'a amanage huno zamasami'ne, Tamagra Ra Anumzamofona monora hunenteta eri'zana eriontegahaze. Na'ankure Agra ruotage hu'neno, kanivere Anumza mani'neankino, tamagri kumi'ene, hazenkema hu'naza kumira apase oramantegahie.
But Joshua said to the people, “You are not able to serve the LORD, for He is a holy God; He is a jealous God; He will not forgive your rebellion or your sins.
20 Hanki tamagrama Ra Anumzamofo tamefi hunemita, ru vahe'mofo havi anumzantaminte mono'ma huntesnazana, Agra knare huno kegava huramanteno e'neanagi, rukrahe huno rimpa aheneramanteno knazanteti tamagrira tamahe fanane hugahie.
If you forsake the LORD and serve foreign gods, He will turn and bring disaster on you and consume you, even after He has been good to you.”
21 Hianagi vea kevumo'za Josuana amanage hu'za asmi'naze, i'o tagra Ra Anumzana Agrike monora huntegahune.
“No!” replied the people. “We will serve the LORD!”
22 Anante Josua'a anage huno vea kevua zamasami'ne, tamagra'a huama nehutma, huvempa hutma Ra Anumzana Agrike monora hunenteta eri'zama'a erintegahune nehazo? Hige'za, izo tagra'a tagipinti huama huta nehune.
Then Joshua told them, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen to serve the LORD.” “We are witnesses!” they said.
23 Hanki Josua'a mago'ane zamasamino, ru vahe'mokizmi havi anumzantamima tamagranema me'neana eri netreta, Rana Israeli vahe'mota Ra Anumzante tamagu'a rukrahe huta amage anteho.
“Now, therefore,” he said, “get rid of the foreign gods among you and incline your hearts to the LORD, the God of Israel.”
24 Hanki vea kevumo'za Josuana asami'za, Ra Anumzana tagri Anumzamofo monora hunenteta, eri'zama'a erinenteta, Agri kemofo amage'a antegahune.
So the people said to Joshua, “We will serve the LORD our God and obey His voice.”
25 Hanki ana zupa Josua'a Sekemu kumate vea nagara Anumzanema huhagerafi huvempa kea nezamasamino, kasegene tra kenena amage antehogu zamasami'ne.
On that day Joshua made a covenant for the people, and there at Shechem he established for them a statute and ordinance.
26 Hanki ana nanekeramina Ra Anumzamofo kasegema me'nea avontafepi Josua'a krente'ne. Ana huteno, anante Josua'a mago ra have erino Ra Anumzamofo seli mono noma me'nea tavaonte oki zafa agafare retrure'ne.
Joshua recorded these things in the Book of the Law of God. Then he took a large stone and set it up there under the oak that was near the sanctuary of the LORD.
27 Anama huteno Josua'a maka vea kevumofona amanage huno zamasami'ne, keho, maka zupa ama havema negeta tagrama huvempama hu'nona kegu tagesa antahigahune. Ra Anumzamo'ma tasamia nanekea ama havema negesuta, ama ana havemo mago avame'za me'nenketa Anumzamofo nanekea ruotagregahune.
And Joshua said to all the people, “You see this stone. It will be a witness against us, for it has heard all the words the LORD has spoken to us, and it will be a witness against you if you ever deny your God.”
28 Anagema huteno Josua'a ana maka veara huzamantege'za erisantimahare'za nemaniza kumatega vu'za e'za hu'naze.
Then Joshua sent the people away, each to his own inheritance.
29 Hanki anazama huvagareteno zaza kna omani'neno Ra Anumzamofo eri'za ne' Nuni nemofo Josuana, kafu'amo'a 110ni hutegeno fri'ne.
Some time later, Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died at the age of 110.
30 Hige'za Gasi agonamofo noti kaziga Efraemi naga'mokizmi agona mopamofo asoparega, Timnat Sera rankumate agra'ama erisantimahare'nea mopafi asente'naze.
And they buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.
31 Hanki Israeli vahe'mo'za Josua'ma kasefa huno mani'nea knafine, agranema ranra vahe'mo'zama Ra Anumzamo'ma mikazama hiazama ke'naza vahe'mokizmi knafina Israeli vahe'mo'za Ra Anumzamofona monora hunte'za eri'zana erinte'naze.
Israel had served the LORD throughout the days of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had experienced all the works that the LORD had done for Israel.
32 Hanki Israeli vahe'mo'zama Josefe zaferinama Isipiti'ma eri'zama e'nazana Sekemu asente'naze. Anama asente'naza mopa Hamori vahe'mokizmi nezamafa Sekemuna 100'a silva zago nemino Jekopu'a mizase'nea mopafi asente'naze. Hanki Israeli vahe'mo'zama Josefe zaferinama asentete'za, ana mopa Josefe naga'mokizmi su'zane hu'za refko huzmi'naze.
And the bones of Joseph, which the Israelites had brought up out of Egypt, were buried at Shechem in the plot of land that Jacob had purchased from the sons of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for a hundred pieces of silver. So it became an inheritance for Joseph’s descendants.
33 Hanki Aroni nemofo Eleaza'ma frige'za Gibea kumate asente'naze. Ana Gibea rankumara Efraemi naga'mokizmi agona moparega Eleazari nemofo Finiasi ami'naza rankumate asente'naze.
Eleazar son of Aaron also died, and they buried him at Gibeah, which had been given to his son Phinehas in the hill country of Ephraim.
