While Eleazar the Supreme Priest and Joshua and the leaders of all the Israeli tribes were at Shiloh, the leaders of the clans of the tribe of Levi went to them and said, “Yahweh commanded Moses that you should give us towns where we can have pasture/fields/grassland for our animals, [but you have not done these things yet].”
2 Sailo kuma'ma Kenani mopafi me'nere e'za amanage hu'za zmasami'naze, Ra Anumzamo'a Mosesema asamino tagrikura rankuma'ene masave nentake tra'zama me'nesia mopane zaminke'za tra'zama nenaza afu zaminena maniho hu'ne.

So the Israeli leaders obeyed this command from Yahweh. They agreed to give towns and pasturelands to the tribe of Levi.
4 Hanki ese'ma satu zokago re'za kazana Kohati naga'mo'za erisaza rankuma ke'za erifore hu'naze. Hagi anama hute'za Juda naga'ma, Simioni naga'ma, Benzameni naga'mo'za 13ni'a ranra kuma refko hu'za, Livae naga'ma pristi ne' Aronimpinti'ma efore hu'naza Kohati nagara zami'naze.
[First] they allotted some cities to the Kohath clans, who belonged to the tribe of Levi. To those who were descendants of the first Supreme Priest Aaron, they allotted 13 towns in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin.
5 Hanki Efraemi naga'ma, Dani naga'ma, amu'nompinti'ma refkoma hu'naza Manase naga'mo'za mopama e'ori'naza Kohati nagara 10ni'a ranra kumatami refko huzmi'naze.
To the other members of the Kohath clan they allotted ten cities in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and the part of the tribe of Manasseh [that lives on the west side of the Jordan River].
6 Hagi Isaka naga'ene, Asa naga'ene, Naftali naga'ene, Basanima nemaniza ruga'a Manase naga'mokizmi mopafinti 13ni'a rankumatami refko hu'za Gesoni nagara zami'naze.
The people from the Gershon clans were allotted 13 cities in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and the part of the tribe of Manasseh that lives on the east side of the Jordan [River].
7 Hagi Rubeni naga'ene, Gati naga'ene, Zebuluni naga'mokizmi mopafinti 12fu'a ranra kumatamina refko hu'za Merari nagara, nagate nofite hu'za zami'naze.
The people from the Merari clans were allotted twelve cities in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
8 E'ina hu'negu Ra Anumzamo'ma Mosesema asamine'a kante ante'za, Israeli vahe'mo'za, ana rankumatamine, tra'zama nenaza afutamima ante mopanena Livae nagara satu zokago re'za eri ama hu'za zami'naze.
So the Israeli leaders gave cities and pastureland to the tribe of Levi, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses that they should do.

These are the names of the cities and surrounding pasturelands that were allotted to them, that were in the areas where the tribes of Judah and Simeon lived.
10 Hagi Livae naga'ma pristi ne' Aronimpinti'ma efore'ma hu'naza Kohati naga'mo'za kotazama satu zokago'ma razana, zamagri zamagimo efore hige'za ana rankuma'tamina eri'naze.
First, they allotted cities to the members of the Kohath clans.

They allotted to them Kiriath-Arba (which is [now named] Hebron), in the hilly area of Judah. Arba received its name because Arba was the ancestor of [the giants of] the Anak people-group.

But the fields and villages surrounding Arba had already been allotted to Caleb.

They allotted to them Hebron, which was one of the cities to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected. They also allotted to the Kohath clan the cities of Libnah,
14 Jatiri rankuma'ene tra'zama nenaza afuzminema kegava hanaza mopane, Estemoa rankuma'ene, tra'zama nenaza afuzminema kegava hanaza mopane,
Jattir, Eshtemoa,
15 Holoni rankuma'ene, tra'zama nenaza afu'zminema kegava hanaza mopane, Debiri rankuma'ene,
Holon, Debir,
16 Ainine, Jutane, Betsemes rankuma'ene zami'naze. Ama ana 9ni'a rankumara, afu'zamimo'zama tra'zamanesaza mopanena Simioni naga'ene Juda naga'mo'za zamagra'a mopafinti Aroni nagara refko huzmi'naze.
Ain, Juttah, and Beth-Shemesh. Altogether they were allotted those nine cities which were located in the areas that had been allotted to the tribes of Judah and Simeon.
17 Hagi Benzameni naga'mofo mopafintira, Gibionima, Gebama,
The Kohath clan was also allotted these four cities: Gibeon, Geba,
18 Anatotine, Almoni rankumaki hu'za ana makara 4'a ranra kumatamine, tava'ozamire'ma me'nea mopa tra'za nenaza afu zamimo'zama tra'zama nesaza mopa Aroni nagara refko huzmi'naze.
Anathoth, and Almon. Those cities were in the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Benjamin.
19 Hanki Aroni naga'ma pristi eri'zama eneriza naga'mo'za ana makara 13ni'a ranra kumatamine, tavao zamire'ma me'nea mopa afu zamimozama tra'zama nesaza mopanena ana maka eri'naze.
Altogether those 13 towns and surrounding pastureland were allotted to the priests who were descended from Aaron.
20 Hanki Livae naga'pintira mago'a Kohati nagara, Efraemi naga mopafinti mago'a ranra kumatmina refko huzmi'naze.
The other members the Kohath clan were allotted four cities and the surrounding pastureland in the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Ephraim.

Those cities were Shechem (which was one of the cities to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected), Gezer,
22 Kibzaimima, Bet Horonine ana maka tavao zamire'ma me'nea mopa afu'zamimozama tra'zama nesaza mopane ana 4'a ranra kumazminena eri'naze.
Kibzaim, and Beth-Horon.
23 Hanki ana zanke hu'za Dani naga mopafinti'ma Kohati naga'ma ranra kuma'ma refko huzami'nazana, Eltekema, Gibetonima,
They were also allotted four cities and surrounding pastureland in the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Dan. Those cities were Eltekeh, Gibbethon,
24 Aijaronima, Gat-Rimonine, tavaozamire'ma me'nea mopa afu zamimo'zama tra'zama nesaza mopanena ana maka eri'naze.
Aijalon, and Gath-Rimmon.
25 Hanki Manase nagara tare mopa eri'nazankino, mago mopafi naga'mokizmi mopafintira, Ta'anakine, Gat Rimoni rankumatrene tava'ozanire'ma me'nea mopa afu zamimo'zama tra'zama nesaza mopanena Kohati nagara zami'naze.
They were also allotted two towns and surrounding pastureland that had been allotted to [the] part of the tribe of Manasseh [that lived on the west side of the Jordan River]. Those cities were Taanach and Gath-Rimmon.
26 Hanki Kohati naga'mo'za ana makara 10ni'a ranra kumatamine, tavao zamire'ma me'nea mopane afu zamimo'zama tra'zama nesaza mopanena ana maka eri'naze.
Those were the ten cities and surrounding pastureland that were allotted to the other members of the Kohath clan.

They also allotted towns and the surrounding pastureland to the Gershon clans. Those clans were also descended from Levi. They were allotted two cities from the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Manasseh [that is on the east side of the Jordan River]. Those cities were Golan in the Bashan region, which was one of the cities to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected, and Be-Eshtarah.

From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Issachar they were allotted four cities. Those cities were Kishion, Daberath,
29 Zarmutima, En-Ganimine, ana maka tava'ozamire'ma me'nea mopa, afu zamimo'zama tra'zama nesaza mopanena ana maka zami'naze.
Jarmuth, and En-Gannim.
30 Hanki Asa naga mopafinti'ma Gesomu naga'ma 4'a ranra kuma'ma zami'nazana, Misalima, Abdonima,
From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Asher they were allotted four cities. Those cities were Mishal, Abdon,
31 Helkatima, Rehobune ana maka tava'ozamire'ma me'nea mopa, afu zamimo'zama tra'zama nesaza mopanena, 4'a ranra kuma'ene zami'naze.
Helkath, and Rehob.
32 Hanki Israeli vahe'mo'za Naftali naga'mofo mopafinti 3'a ranra kuma Gesomu naga'ma refko huzami'nazana, zamagu'ma vazinagu kore freno ome fraki rankuma Galili mopafi me'neana Kades ran kumaki, Hamot-Dori kumaki, Katan rankuma'ene, ana maka tava'ozamire'ma me'nea mopa, afu zamimo'zama tra'zama nesaza mopa zami'naze.
From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Naphtali they were allotted three cities. Those cities were Kedesh in the Galilee region (it was one of the cities to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected), Hammoth-Dor, and Kartan.
33 Hanki Gesomu naga'moza ana makara 13ni'a ranra kumatamine, tavaozamire'ma meterema hu'nea mopa, afu zamimozama tra'zama nesaza mopanena ana maka eri vagare'naze.
So altogether the Gershon clans were allotted 13 cities and the surrounding pasturelands.
34 Hanki Livae naga'pinti mago nagara Merari nagakiza Israeli vahe'mo'za Jebuluni naga mopafinti ranra kuma'ma zami'nazana, Jokneamuma, Katama,
The other descendants of Levi, the ones who belonged to the Merari clans, were also allotted towns and their surrounding pasturelands. From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Zebulun they were allotted four cities. They were Jokneam, Kartah,
35 Dimnama, Nahalali rankuma'ene zami'naze. Hagi ana maka 4'a ranra kumatamine tava'ozamire'ma me'nea mopa afu zamimo'zama tra'zama nesaza mopanena ana maka Merari naga zami'naze.
Dimnah, and Nahalal.
36 Hanki Rubeni naga mopafinti Israeli vahe'mo'za Merari nagama ranra kuma'ma zami'nazana, Bezerima, Jahazima,
From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Reuben they were allotted four cities. They were Bezer, Jahaz,
37 Kedemotima, Mefa'ati rankuma'ene zami'naze. Hagi ana makara 4'a ranra kumatamine afu zamimo'zama tra'zama nesaza mopanena ana maka Merari naga zami'naze.
Kedemoth, and Mephaath.
38 Hanki Gati naga mopafinti'ma Israeli vahe'mo'zama Merari naga'ma ranra kuma'ma zami'nazana, kore fre'za zamagu'ma ome nevaziza rankuma Giliati kazigama me'neana Ramotima, Mahanaimima,
From the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Gad they were allotted four cities. They were Ramoth, which was one of the cities in the Gilead region to which people could run/escape to be safe/protected, Mahanaim,
39 Hesbonima, Jazeri rankumatre'na zami'naze. Hagi maka ana 4'a ranra kumatamine afu'zamimozama tra'zama nesaza mopanena ana maka Merari naga zami'naze.
Heshbon, and Jazer.
40 Hagi Livae naga'mo'za mopama erizage'za mopama e'ori'naza nagara Merari nagakiza zamagra 12fu'a ranra kumatami eri'naze.
Altogether twelve cities were allotted to the Merari clans.
41 Hanki Israeli vahe'mo'zama maka mopama eri'nafintira 48'a ranra kuma'ene afu'zamimo'zama tra'zama nesaza mopanena Livae nagara zami'naze.
So altogether 48 cities were allotted to the tribe of Levi,

and each city had surrounding pastureland.
43 E'ina huno Ra Anumzamo'a zmagehe'ima huvempa huno zamigahue hu'nea mopa ana maka Israeli vahera zamige'za, erisantihare'za ana mopafi mani'naze.
In that way Yahweh allotted to the Israeli people all the land that he had promised to give to their/our ancestors. The Israeli people took control of [most of] those areas and started to live there.
44 Ra Anumzamo'a Israeli vahera zamaza huno ha' vahe'zamia zamazampi zamavarentege'za, Israeli vahe'mo'za hara huzmagaterageno mago'mo'e huno hara huzmagateore'ne. Ana higeno Ra Anumzamo'a zamagehe'ima huvempama huzmante'nea kante anteno, maka kazigatira hara huozmantage'za mani fru hu'za mani'naze.
Just like he had promised our ancestors, Yahweh allowed them/us to have peace with the enemies that surrounded them/us. Yahweh enabled the Israelis/us to defeat their/our enemies.
45 Hanki Ra Anumzamo'ma Israeli vahe'tema knare huvempa kema huzamante'nea ke'mo'a magore huno hantaga osuno, ana maka'zamo'a nena raga'a efore hu'ne.
Yahweh did all the things that he had promised to the Israeli people/us. Everything that he said would happen did happen.
