There was also a lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the firstborn of Joseph; to know, for Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead: because he was a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Bashan.
2 Hagi amu'nompinti'ma mago'a Manase naga'ma refkoma hu'za mani'naza nagara, nagate nofite hu'za mopama refko huzami'nazana, Abiesama, Helekima, Asrielima, Sekemima, Heferine Semitane huno refko huzami'naze. Hanki ama ana nagara Josefe mofavre Manase nagapinti efora hu'naza vene'negi'za, mago mago naga'nofite'ma ugota hu'naza vahe'mokizmi zamagi'a me'ne.
There was also a lot for the rest of the children of Manasseh by their families; for the children of Abiezer, and for the children of Helek, and for the children of Asriel, and for the children of Shechem, and for the children of Hepher, and for the children of Shemida: these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph by their families.
3 Hagi Serofehati'a Heferi mofavre manigeno, Heferi'a Gileati mofavre manigeno, Gileati'a Makiri mofavre manigeno, Makiri'a Manase mofavre mani'ne. But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters: and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
4 Hanki ana mofa'nemo'za zamagra pristi ne' Eliesane, Nuni nemofo Josuane, mago'a Israeli kva vahete vu'za amanage hu'naze, Ra Anumzamo Mosesena asamino, tasarehe'zama mopama erisafintira mago'a tagrikura mopa zamiho huno hunte'ne. And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren. Therefore according to the commandment of the LORD he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father.
5 Hagi Manase naga'mo'za Jodani timofo zage hanati kaziga Gileati mopane Bashani mopanena eri'ne'za, mago'ane 10niafi refkoma huzami'naza mopanena eri'naze.

Because the daughters of Manasseh had an inheritance among his sons: and the rest of Manasseh's sons had the land of Gilead.

8 Tapua mopa Manase naga nofi'mofo mopa megeno, Tapua rankumara Manase naga'mofo mopa agema'arega me'neanagi, Efraemi naga'mofo mopa me'ne.
Now Manasseh had the land of Tappuah: but Tappuah on the border of Manasseh belonged to the children of Ephraim;
9 Hagi anantetira mopamofo agema'amo'a fenkamu sauti kaziga uramino Kana osi tinte uhanati'ne. Ana timofo sauti kazigama me'nea rankuma tamina, Efraemi naga'mofo kumatamine. And the coast descended unto the river Kanah, southward of the river: these cities of Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh: the coast of Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the utmost limit of it were at the sea:
10 Hanki Sauti kazigama me'nea mopa Efraemi naga'mokizmi mope. Hagi noti kazigama me'nea mopa Manase naga'mokizmi mopagino zage fre kaziga Mediterenia ra hagerikenare ome atre'ne. Southward it was Ephraim's, and northward it was Manasseh's, and the sea is his border; and they met together in Asher on the north, and in Issachar on the east.
11 Hanki Manase naga'mofo mopa Isaka naga'ene Aseli naga'mokizmi mopafina me'neana, Betsani rankuma'ene ne'eonse kumatamima tavaoma'are'ma me'nea kumatamine, Ibliamu rankuma'ene, ne'onse kumatamima tava'oma'are'ma me'nea kumatamine, Nafat Dori rankuma'ene, Endori rankuma'ene, Tamak rankuma'ene, Megido rankuma'ene ana maka ra kumatamimofo tavao zamire'ma me'nea neonse kumatamia Manase naga'mo'za eri'naze.
And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher Bethshean and her towns, and Ibleam and her towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Endor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns, even three countries.
12 Ana hu'neanagi Manase naga'mo'za ana rankumatamimpintira Kenani vahera zamahenati otre zamatrage'za ana mopafi mani'naze.
Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.

Yet it came to pass, when the children of Israel were becoming strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, but did not utterly drive them out.
14 Henka Josefe naga'mo'za Josuankura amanage hu'naze, Ra Anumzamo tagri nagara asomu hurantegeta rama'a vahe fore huta mani'nonanki, na'a higenka magoke mopagera tami'nane?
And the children of Joseph spoke unto Joshua, saying, Why have you given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the LORD has blessed me until now?
15 Hagi Josua'a ke nonazmia amanage hu'ne, Tamagrama tusi'a vahe'ma fore hu'ne'nageno Efraemi agona mopamo'ma osi'ma huramante'nigeta, Perisi vahe'ene, Refaimi vahe mopafi anagamu zafa tanoparega marerita kumara ome eriama huta maniho.
And Joshua answered them, If you be a great people, then get you up to the wood country, and cut down for yourself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for you.
16 Hige'za Josefe naga'mo'za amanage hu'naze, agona mopamo'a knarera huorantegahie. Hianagi agupofima Kenani vahe'ma nemaniza vahe'ene, Bet Sani ran kumate'ene, ne'onse kuma'ma tava'oma'are'ma me'nea kumatamimpine, Jezrili agupofima nemaniza ha'ma hu'zana aenire karisi ante'naze.
And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Bethshean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel.
17 Hianagi Josua'a amanage huno Josefe mofavrerare Manasene, Efraemi naga'mokizmia zamasami'ne, Tamagra tusi'a vahe fore hutma hankavenentake hu'nazankita magoke mopafina omanigahaze.
And Joshua spoke unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, You are a great people, and have great power: you shall not have one lot only:

But the mountain shall be yours; for it is a wood, and you shall cut it down: and the utmost limit of it shall be yours: for you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.
