< Joni 11 >

1 Hagi mago nera Lasarusi'e nehaza ne'mo'a kri eri'ne. Agra Betanitire, Maria'ene nenunkna Matake nemani'a kumate nere.
But there was a certain man sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
2 Maria'a mananentake masavenu Ramofo agare frenteteno, anu azokateti ana agama eri ho'mu hu'nea a'mofo nesaro kria eri'ne.
It was the Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.
3 Ana nanunkna'moke Jisasintega kea atrenteke, anage hu'na'e, Ramoka antahio, Kagrama avesima nentamo'a kri eri'ne.
The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
4 Higeno Jisasi'a ana ke nentahino, anage hu'ne, Ana krimo'a fri kantera avreno ovugahie, na'ankure Anumzamofo ra agi ami'nigeno, ana zantetira Anumzamofo Mofavremo ra agi erigahie.
And Jesus hearing this said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.
5 Jisasi'a Matane nenunknane, Lasarusine avesizamante'ne.
Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
6 Hianagi Lasarusi kri eri'ne nanekema hazageno nentahino'a, tare zage'gna anama mani'nea kumate mani'ne.
When therefore he heard that he was sick, he remained in the place where he was two days.
7 Ana huteno amage'nentaza disaipol nagaku huno, Judia kaziga ete vanune huno zamasmi'ne.
Then after this he saith to the disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
The disciples say to him, Rabbi, the Jews but just now were seeking to stone thee, and goest thou thither again?
9 Jisasi'a kenona zamire anage hu'ne, 12fu'a kna (aua) mago zagefina omane'nefi? Mago vahe'mo'ma zage ferupima vanuno'a agra traka osugahie, na'ankure ama mopafi masa agra nege.
Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world;
10 Hu'neanagi mago'mo hanimpima vanuno'a ome traka hugahie, na'ankure masa agripina omne'ne.
but if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth; because the light is not in him.
11 Anagema huteno, mago'ene Jisasi'a anage hu'ne, Ronetimo Lasarusi'a avu mase'ne, hianagi menina Nagra ome azeri otigahue.
This he spoke, and afterwards said to them, Our friend Lazarus hath fallen asleep; but I go that I may awake him out of sleep.
The disciples therefore said to him, Lord, if he hath fallen asleep, he will recover.
13 Hagi Jisasi'ma hu'neana, Lasarusi'a ko fri'nea zanku hu'neanagi, zamagrama antahi'zana amne avu mase'nea zanku nehie hu'za antahi'naze.
But Jesus had spoken of his death; but they thought that he spoke of the taking of rest in sleep.
14 Jisasi'a anante huama huno zamasmi'ne, Lasarusi'a ko fri'ne,
Then therefore Jesus said to them plainly: Lazarus is dead.
15 Tamagri tamaza hanigu Nagra muse nehu'na, ana kumatera omani'noe, e'ina hanigeta tamagra tamentinti hugahaze. Hianagi erinketa agritega vamneno.
And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there; that ye may believe; but let us go to him.
16 E'ina hianagi Tomasi (Didimasi'e hu'neana kugavezare) nehaza ne'mo, magoka Jisasi amage nentaza disaipol nagaku huno, tagranena erinketa vuta Agrane ufri'maneno hu'ne.
Then said Thomas, who was called Didymus, to his fellow-disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
17 Hagi Jisasi'a ana kumate uhanatino, ome antahiana Lasarusina ko havegampi asentageno, 4'a zagegna evu'ne.
Having come, therefore, Jesus found that he had been four days in the tomb.
18 Betani kumara Jerusalemi tava'onte 3 kilo mitanaza me'ne.
Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off;
19 Rama'a Jiu vahe'mo'za e'za Matane Maria kiznia, neznasaro fri'negeza e'za zname rentinti hu'naze.
and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.
20 Jisasi ne-e hia kema Matama nentahino, kantega ome kenaku vu'ne. Hianagi Maria'a nompi mani'ne.
Martha therefore, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went to meet him; but Mary continued sitting in the house.
21 Mata'a, Jisasina ome keno anage huno asmi'ne, Ramoka, Kagrama amafima mani'nantesina, nensaro Lasarusi'a ofrisine.
Then said Martha to Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died;
22 Hianagi meninena nagra antahi'noe, na'anku'ma Anumzamofo antahige'sankeno'a, Anumzamo'a anazana kamigahie.
and even now I know that whatever thou shalt ask of God, God will give it thee.
23 Jisasi'a kenona huno asmi'ne, Negsaro Lasarusi'a ete otino asimu erigahie.
Jesus saith to her, Thy brother will rise again.
24 Mata'a amanage huno Jisasina asmi'ne, Nagra antahi'noe, henkama otisaza zupa vagare knarera, agra otino asimu erigahie.
Martha saith to him, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
25 Jisasi'a amanage huno Matana asmi'ne, Fripinti otino asimu erino mani'zamofo agafa'a Nagra mani'noe, iza'o Nagrite'ma amentinti hanimo'a, frigahianagi asimu erino manigahie.
Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he have died, will live;
26 Maka vahe'mo'za mani'neza Nagrite zamentinti hanazana, ofri'tfa hugahaze. Amama nehua kegura kagra kamentintia nehampi? (aiōn g165)
and whoever liveth and believeth in me will never die. Believest thou this? (aiōn g165)
27 Higeno Mata'a anage huno asmi'ne, Izo Ramoka, nagra namentinti hue, Kagra Kraisige, Anumzamofo mofavre'moka Kagra ama mopafi erami'nane.
She saith to him, Yea, Lord; I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, he who was to come into the world.
28 Mata'a anage huteno, vuno nenunkna Mariana sumi huno agesafi asami'ne, Hurami ne'mo'a ne-eno kagriku ke nehie huno asamigeno,
And having said this, she went away, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Teacher is here and calleth for thee.
29 ana kema nentahino'a, ame' huno otino Jisasinte vu'ne.
She, when she heard this, riseth quickly and cometh to him.
30 Jisasi'a ana kumapina uofreno, kantega Matama omege'nere mani'negeno, Maria'a emege'ne.
Now Jesus had not yet come into the town, but was still in the place where Martha met him.
The Jews then who were with her in the house and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up hastily and went out, followed her, thinking that she was going to the tomb to weep there.
32 E'ina higeno, Maria'a Jisasi'ma mani'nere eno eme negeno, agiafi emaseno, anage huno asmi'ne, Ramoka, kagrama amafima mani'nantesina, nensaro Lasarusi'a ofrisine.
Then Mary, when she came where Jesus was, as soon as she saw him fell down at his feet, saying to him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
33 Jisasima kegeno zavi'ma netegeno'a, ana a'ene e'naza Jiu vahe'mo'zanema zavi atageno, Jisasi'a nezmageno agu'afina tusi'za huno rimpamo'a kna nehigeno,
Jesus therefore when he saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping who came with her, was greatly moved in his spirit, and much troubled,
34 Jisasi'a zamantahigeno, Inantega ana nera asente'naze? Zamagra kenona hu'za Agrira asmi'naze, Ramoka enka emego.
and said, Where have ye laid him? They say to him, Lord, come and see.
35 Hazageno Jisasi'a zavi' ate'ne.
Jesus wept.
The Jews therefore said, See, how he loved him!
37 Hianagi mago'amo'za anage hu'naze, Ama ne'mo avu suhu ne' eri hari hunte'neankino, Agra Lasarusina mago'a zana huntegeno ofrino manisimpi?
But some of them said, Could not he, who opened the eyes of the blind man, have also caused that this man should not have died?
38 Anante Jisasi mago'ene, rimpamo'a kna nehigeno ana ne'mofo kerire uhanati'ne. Havega me'nege'za ufrekantera have eri'za runkani re'naze.
Jesus therefore, again greatly moved within himself, cometh to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.
39 Jisasi'a huno, Ana have rezahe hutreho, higeno fri'nea ne'mofo nesaro Mata'a anage huno asami'ne, Ramoka, menina kno hi'mana vugahie. Na'ankure 4'a zagegna ko mani'ne.
Jesus saith, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith to him, Lord, by this time the body is offensive; for he hath been dead four days.
40 Higeno Jisasi'a anage huno ana ara asmi'ne, Ko kasami'noe, kagrama kamentinti hanunka Anumzamofo hihamu hankave'a (glori) kegahane hu'na kasmi'nofi?
Jesus saith to her, Did I not tell thee, that if thou wouldst believe, thou shouldst see the glory of God?
41 Hige'za anankema nentahi'za ana have rezahe hutre'naze. Anante Jisasi'a kesga hunagamuteno, anage hu'ne, Nenfaga, Nagra muse hugantoe, Kagra ke'nia antahi nami'nane.
They therefore took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father! I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
Yet I knew that thou hearest me always; but for the sake of the multitude standing around I said it, that they might believe that thou didst send me.
43 Jisasi'a anagema huteno'a, kezatino Lasarusiga, atiraminka eno!
And having thus spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth!
44 Higeno fri'nea ne'mo atiramino e'ne, agiane, azanena, tavrave nofi'nu ana'neki'za, avugosa tavravenu anovazinageno Jisasi'a zamasmino, Tavarave'a vakneta eri atrenkeno vino.
He that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave-clothes; and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith to them, Loose him, and let him go.
Many of the Jews therefore who had come to Mary, and had seen what he did, believed in him.
But some of them went away to the Pharisees, and told them what Jesus had done.
47 E'ina hige'za vugota pristi vahe'ene Farisi Vahe'mo'za vugota mono kanisol vahe kehutru (Sanhedrin) hu'za anage hu'naze, Ama ne'mo'a rama'a kaguvaza nehie. Na'a menina hugahune?
Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, What are we to do, seeing that this man worketh many signs?
48 Atresnunkeno anazanke huno Agra vaniana, maka vahe'mo'za Agrite zamentinti hanageno, Romu vahe'mo'za e'za ra mono nontine, mopatinena tarega hanaregahaze.
If we thus let him alone, all will believe in him; and the Romans will come, and take away both our place and nation.
49 Anante mago'zmimo, Kaiafasi'a ra mono kva (hai pristi) ana kafufina mani'nea ne'mo, anage huno zamasmi'ne, tamagra mago'za antahintahitamifina nontahize.
And a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high-priest that year, said to them, Ye know nothing at all;
50 Na'a hanigeno maka kumatine, mopatia eri havizana hugahie? Atrenkeno magoke'mo miko vahekura frisnie.
nor do ye consider that it is expedient for us that one man die for the people, and not the whole nation perish.
51 Kaiafasi'a agra antahi'zampinti ama kea osu'ne, hianagi ana kafufina ran mono kva (hai pristi) mani'neno, kasnampa ke huno Jisasima frino maka Jiu vahe zamaza hania zanku hu'ne,
And this he spoke not from himself; but being high-priest that year he prophesied that Jesus was about to die for the nation;
52 Nehuno Jiu kuma vaheke Agra zamaza osugahie, e'inama hanuno'a hazagre'za vu'za e'za hu'naza vahera zamazeri mago hanige'za Anumzamofo mofavre manigahaze.
and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together in one body the children of God that are scattered abroad.
53 E'i ana knareti erigafa hu'za, Jisasima ahe frisaza ke retro hu'naze.
Therefore from that day forth they consulted together to put him to death.
54 E'inama hazazanku Jisasi'a mago'ene Jiu vahe zamurera kana onte'ne. Hianagi atreno vuno mago ka'ma kokampi me'nea rankuma kaziga Efraimie nehazarega amage' nentaza naga'ane umani'naze.
Jesus therefore no longer walked openly among the Jews, but departed thence to the country near the wilderness, to a city called Ephraim, and there abode with the disciples.
And the passover of the Jews was at hand; and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.
56 Ana nehu'za ra mono nomofo (tempol) kumapi oti'za mani'neza Jisasinku nehakre'za, zamagra zamagra anage hu'naze. Na'ane hutma tamage'sa nentahize? Agra ama (Pasova) nezantera egahifi, omegahie?
They sought therefore for Jesus, and said one to another, as they stood in the temple, What think ye? that he will not come to the feast?
57 Anante vugota hu'naza pristi vahe'ene, Farisi vahe'mo'za, anage hu'za rama'a vahepi hu'naze, iza'o Jisasima kesimo'a, eme tasamisigeta tagra azerisune hu'naze.
Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders, that, if any one knew where he was, he should give information, that they might seize him.
