< Zoe 1 >

1 Hagi ama nanekea Ra Anumzamo'a Petueli ne'mofo Joeli asami'nea naneke.
The word of the Lord that came to Joel the son of Phatuel.
2 Hagi ranra vahe'mota ama nanekea nentahinkeno, ama mopafima mani'naza vahe'motmanena ama ana nanekea antahiho. Tamagri knafine tamagehe'i knafinena, amanahu zana fore hu'neaza fore nehifi?
Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land: did this ever happen in your days, or in the days of your fathers?
3 Hagi tamagra ama ana nanekea mofavre'tamimofo zamasaminke'za, zamagra mofavre'zmia zamasami anante anante hu'za viho.
Tell ye of this to your children, and let your children tell their children, and their children to another generation.
That which the palmerworm hath left, the locust hath eaten: and that which the locust hath left, the bruchus hath eaten: and that which the bruchus hath left, the mildew hath destroyed.
5 Hagi aka tima neta neginagima nehaza vahe'mota otitma tamasunku hutma zavi krafa hiho. Na'ankure haganentake waini timo'a vagarenigeta mago'anena onegahaze.
Awake, ye that are drunk, and weep, and mourn all ye that take delight in drinking sweet wine: for it is cut off from your mouth.
6 Hagi tusi'a hanavenentake huno hampriga osu kenutmimo'za, sondia vahe'mo'za hate vazankna hu'za nagri mopafina mani vite'naze. Hagi ana kenutamimofona zamavemo'a a' laionimofo avekna hu'ne.
For a nation is come up upon my land, strong and without number: his teeth are like the teeth of a lion: and his cheek teeth as of a lion’s whelp.
He hath laid my vineyard waste, and hath pilled off the bark of my fig tree: he hath stripped it bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.
8 Hagi tamagra mago mofa'mo ve erinaku hu'nea vemo frigeno, kento kukena hu'neno, nevenku zavi krafa hiankna huta zavira ateho.
Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.
9 Hagi Ra Anumzamofo mono nompima ofama hu witine waininena omanegahie. E'ina hanige'za Ra Anumzamofo eri'zama eneriza pristi vahe'mo'za tusi zavi krafa hugahaze.
Sacrifice and libation is cut off from the house of the Lord: the priests, the Lord’s ministers, have mourned:
10 Hagi hozamo'a haviza higeno, mopamo'a hagege higeno, witi ragamo'a ome haviza higeno, wainimo'a hagege higeno, olivi masavema eneriza zafamo'enena hagege hu'ne.
The country is destroyed, the ground hath mourned: for the corn is wasted, the wine is confounded, the oil hath languished.
11 Hagi hozama erita nentaza vahe'mota tamagazegu hiho. Grepi hozafima eri'zama eneriza vahe'mota zavi krafa hiho. Na'ankure witine balimo'enena hozafina nena'a reontegeno hozamo'enena hagege hu'ne.
The husbandmen are ashamed, the vinedressers have howled for the wheat, and for the barley, because the harvest of the field is perished.
12 Hagi waini nofimo'a hagege higeno, fiki zafama, pomigreneti zafama, deti zafama, epoli zafamo'zanena hagege hu'naze. Ana maka zafaramimo'a hagege higeno, vahe'mo'zama musema nehaza zamo'a vagare'ne.
The vineyard is confounded, and the fig tree hath languished: the pomegranate tree, and the palm tree, and the apple tree, and all the trees of the field are withered: because joy is withdrawn from the children of men.
13 Hagi pristi vahe'ma kre sramana vu itare'ma eri'zama eneriza vahe'mota tamasunku kukena hunetma zavi krafagea hiho. Anumzamofo eri'za vahe'mota tamasunku kukena hunetma kenage'enena maniho. Na'ankure tamagri Anumzamofo mono nompima ofama huntesaza wainine witinena omanegahie.
Gird yourselves, and lament, O ye priests, howl, ye ministers of the altars: go in, lie in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: because sacrifice and libation is cut off from the house of your God.
14 Hagi ke omente emente huta vahera ke hutru huta ne'zana a'o hutma nunamu hiho. Ranra vahetamina ke hutru huta, mika ama mopafima nemaniza vahera zamavareta Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamofo ra mono nompi marerita, Ra Anumzamofontega rankea huta kezatiho.
Sanctify ye a fast, call an assembly; gather together the ancients, all the inhabitants of the land into the house of your God: and cry ye to the Lord:
15 Knare osu kna fore hugahianki, kva hiho! Ana knazamo'a Hihamu Hankave'ane Anumzamofontegati egahie.
Ah, ah, ah, for the day: because the day of the Lord is at hand, and it shall come like destruction from the mighty.
16 Hagi tagra'a tavufinti negonkeno nezantimo'a vaganeregeno, musenkasema huta Anumzantimofo mono nompima mono'ma hunentona zamo'a vagare'ne.
Is not your food cut off before your eyes, joy and gladness from the house of our God?
17 Hanki mopafima hankre'naza avimzamo'a, hagege huno nefrigeno, nezama vasagente nomo'a haviza nehanigeno, witima vasagente nomo'a haviza huno frugu vaziramine.
The beasts have rotted in their dung, the barns are destroyed, the storehouses are broken down: because the corn is confounded.
Why did the beast groan, why did the herds of cattle low? because there is no pasture for them: yea, and the flocks of sheep are perished.
19 Ra Anumzamokarega nagra nunamuna nehue. Na'ankure sipisipi afu'mo'zama nenaza trazana afeteno erihana nehuno, mika zafanena terasage vagare'ne.
To thee, O Lord, will I cry: because fire hath devoured the beautiful places of the wilderness, and the flame hath burnt all the trees of the country.
20 Hagi afi zagagafa'moza tima nesaza zankura tusiza nehu'za Kagritega krafa nehaze. Na'ankure ana miko timo'a tane vagaregeno, maka avo'nona afe tevemo teno erihana hu'ne.
Yea and the beasts of the field have looked up to thee, as a garden bed that thirsteth after rain, for the springs of waters are dried up, and fire hath devoured the beautiful places of the wilderness.
