1 Hagi anante Temani mopafinti ne' Elifasi'a amanage huno kenona hu'ne,
Then Eliphaz the Temanite replied:
2 Mago vahe'mo'ma kagri'enema nanekema hu'zama nehanigenka akohenka mani'nenka ontahigahano? Hagi nagra nagitera aze'ori'na hunaku'ma hanua nanekea amne kasmigahue.
“If one ventures a word with you, will you be wearied? Yet who can keep from speaking?
3 Rama'a vahe antahintahia nezminka, hankavezmi omne vahera zamazeri hankaveti'nane.
Surely you have instructed many, and have strengthened their feeble hands.
4 Tanafa'ma hu'za mase'zama nehaza vahetmina, nanekeka'amo'a zamazeri hankavenetino, zaferina omne amnema hia vahera hankavea nezamie.
Your words have steadied those who stumbled; you have braced the knees that were buckling.
5 Hianagi menima knazampi nemaninkeno'a krimpamo'a haviza nehie. Hazenke zamo'ma kavate'ma egenka kagogogu nehane.
But now trouble has come upon you, and you are weary. It strikes you, and you are dismayed.
6 Anumzamofonku'ma koro hunentenka fatgo hunka nemaninazanku kamentintia nehunka, Anumzamo naza hugahie nehano?
Is your reverence not your confidence, and the uprightness of your ways your hope?
7 Kagesa antahigo, hazenke'a omne vahe'mo'a amnea frigahifi? Hagi fatgo avu'ava'ma nehia vahera inantega ahe fri'negenka ke'nane?
Consider now, I plead: Who, being innocent, has ever perished? Or where have the upright been destroyed?
8 Hagi nagrama ke'na antahi'nama hu'noana, hozama eri'za avimzama hankre'za hamarazankna hu'za kefo avu'avazama nehaza vahe'mo'za hazenke'za nehamaraze.
As I have observed, those who plow iniquity and those who sow trouble reap the same.
9 Anumzamofo rimpa ahezamo'a, zaho'mo'ma maka'zama eri haviza hiaza huno, Agra asimu'ma antea zantetira zamahe fanane nehie.
By the breath of God they perish, and by the blast of His anger they are consumed.
10 Zamagra ha' laionimo'ma ha' hunaku nehiaza hu'za krafa nehu'za, rekazigazi hugahazanagi, hanave laionimofona aheno avera rutafrigahie.
The lion may roar, and the fierce lion may growl, yet the teeth of the young lions are broken.
11 Hagi ana ha' laionimo'za ahe'zama nenaza zaga omanisige'za zamagaku nehu'za mofavrezmia atresage'za panini hu'za hazagre'za vu'za e'za hugahaze.
The old lion perishes for lack of prey, and the cubs of the lioness are scattered.
12 Hagi tamage nanekea oku'a sumi sumi hu'za eme nasmizage'na antahi'noe.
Now a word came to me secretly; my ears caught a whisper of it.
13 Vahe'mo'za mase himrenageno, kenage ava'nafi ana nanekea eme nasmizage'na anhintahi hakare nehugeno,
In disquieting visions in the night, when deep sleep falls on men,
14 tusi nagogo nefegeno, zaferinani'a omne amne nehige'na, tusi nahirahiku hu'noe.
fear and trembling came over me and made all my bones shudder.
15 Mago zaho erino navufi evigeno, navufga nazokamo'a harahara huno oti vagare'ne.
Then a spirit glided past my face, and the hair on my body bristled.
16 Hagi ana zaho'ma erino'ma evigenama koana, mago zamofo amema'a fore huno oti'neanagi, avufga'a onke'noe. Anama nehigeno agasasama omanenefintira mago agerumo'a anage hu'ne.
It stood still, but I could not discern its appearance; a form loomed before my eyes, and I heard a whispering voice:
17 Anumzamofo avurera mago vahe'mo'a fatgo osu'ne. Tro'ma hurante'nea Anumzamofo avurera magora agru vahera omanifta hu'ne.
‘Can a mortal be more righteous than God, or a man more pure than his Maker?
18 Anumzamo'a eri'za vahe'anena antahi nozmino ankero vahe'amofo havi zamavu'zmava zana refko huno nezamage.
If God puts no trust in His servants, and He charges His angels with error,
19 Hagi vahera Anumzamo'a mopareti eri kripeno tro hunteneankino (moth) afovage brebrema rehapatiaza hugahie.
how much more those who dwell in houses of clay, whose foundations are in the dust, who can be crushed like a moth!
20 Hagi trazamo'za nantera fore hute'za, kinaga sege'za frizankna hu'za ana fri fanane hazage'za antahi nozamize.
They are smashed to pieces from dawn to dusk; unnoticed, they perish forever.
21 Seli nozmimofo nofira katufe atrazageno pasru hiankna hu'za knare antahintahi omne vahe nefrize.
Are not their tent cords pulled up, so that they die without wisdom?’
