1 Hagi mago zupa Anumzamofo ankeromo'za ete Ra Anumzamofo avugama eme atru hunaku'ma neazageno'a, Sata'a anampi e'ne.
And the day is, that sons of God come in to station themselves by Jehovah, and there doth come also the Adversary in their midst to station himself by Jehovah.
2 Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno antahige'ne, Kagra igati ane? Higeno Sata'a amanage huno kenona hu'ne, Nagra mopafi vano vano nehureti oe.
And Jehovah saith unto the Adversary, 'Whence camest thou?' And the Adversary answereth Jehovah and saith, 'From going to and fro in the land, and from walking up and down in it.'
3 Ra Anumzamo'a ete mago'ane Satana antahigeno, Eri'za vaheni'a Jopuna kenampi onke'nane? Mopafina agrikna vahera omani'neankino maka zampina mani fatgo huno nemanino, hazenke'a omanegeno Anumzamo'nagu korera nehuno, kefo avu'ava zana nosia ne' mani'ne. Agra mago hazenkea osu'nea zante, rehe'na kesue hanke'na hugantogenka maka zama'a omeri haviza hu'nananagi, agra ko'ma mani'nea kante mani fatgo huno mani'ne.
And Jehovah saith unto the Adversary, 'Hast thou set thy heart unto My servant Job because there is none like him in the land, a man perfect and upright, fearing God and turning aside from evil? and still he is keeping hold on his integrity, and thou dost move Me against him to swallow him up for nought!'
4 Hianagi Sata'a ana kemofo nona'a amanage huno Ra Anumzamofonkura hu'ne, Avufgare'ma hazenkema fore'ma hinkeno'a, mika zama'a atreno agra'a avufga agura vazigahie.
And the Adversary answereth Jehovah and saith, 'A skin for a skin, and all that a man hath he doth give for his life.
5 Hianagi Jopu avufgare'ma krima neminka zaferina'ama eri havizama hanankeno'a negesnankeno huhaviza hugantegahie.
Yet, put forth, I pray Thee, Thy hand, and strike unto his bone and unto his flesh — if not: unto Thy face he doth bless Thee!'
6 Anage higeno Ra Anumzamo'a huno, Knareki amne kavesinia zana Jopu avufgarera hugahananagi, asimu'a e'orio.
And Jehovah saith unto the Adversary, 'Lo, he [is] in thy hand; only his life take care of.'
7 Higeno Sata'a Ra Anumzamofo avugatira atreno vuno Jopuna mika avufafina usage namu omeri fore humigeno, aga agusareti'ma vuno asenire'ma uhanati'neana usage namumo'a avite'ne.
And the Adversary goeth forth from the presence of Jehovah, and smiteth Job with a sore ulcer from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
8 Ana higeno Jopu'a tanefapi mani'neno, tako hu'nea mopa kavo atupa'a erino namuma'afina zuke nehateno mani'ne.
And he taketh to him a potsherd to scrape himself with it, and he is sitting in the midst of the ashes.
9 Ana'ma nehigeno'a nenaro'a huno, Amanahu zama nehigenka kagra nagafare fatgo kavukvara hunka neane? Ama atrenka Anumzamofona huhaviza huntegeno kahe frina frio.
And his wife saith to him, 'Still thou art keeping hold on thine integrity: bless God and die.'
10 Hianagi Jopu'a kenona huno, Kagra negi nagi a'nemo'ma nehiankna ke nehane! Anumzamo'ma knare'zantamima tamisnigeta e'nerisuta'a, na'a hanigeta havi zanena e'origahu'e. Anage nehuno ana maka zama avufgare'ma fore'ma hia kna'afina, Jopu'a mago kumira keaga'afina osu'ne.
And he saith unto her, 'As one of the foolish women speaketh, thou speakest; yea, the good we receive from God, and the evil we do not receive.' In all this Job hath not sinned with his lips.
11 Hagi Jopu avufgare'ma hazenkema fore'ma hiankema nentahi'za 3'a arone'amo'za kea hu'za antahi'za hute'za, nozmia atre'za zamasunku'ma hunente'za azeri hanaveti kema asaminagura e'naze. Ana vahe'mokizmi zamagi'a, Temani vahepinti ne' Elifasi'ma, Suhi vahepinti ne' Biltati'ma, Na'ama vahepinti ne' Zofari'e.
And three of the friends of Job hear of all this evil that hath come upon him, and they come in each from his place — Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite — and they are met together to come in to bemoan him, and to comfort him;
12 Hagi afeteti'ma Jopuma eme nege'za ru vahe mani'ne hu'za kesavri hu'naze. Ana nehu'za erava'oma hu'za nege'za tusi krafa hu'za zavira nete'za tanefara hatregonefi'za tusi zamasunku hunte'naze.
and they lift up their eyes from afar and have not discerned him, and they lift up their voice and weep, and rend each his robe, and sprinkle dust on their heads — heavenward.
13 Ana hute'za 7ni'a knafi Jopu'enena mopafina mani'naze. Hagi ana knafina mago'mo'e huno Jopuna kea huomi'ne. Na'ankure Jopu'a tusi'a atazampi mani'neankino kea humigara osu'nege'za anara hu'naze.
And they sit with him on the earth seven days and seven nights, and there is none speaking unto him a word when they have seen that the pain hath been very great.
