1 Hagi anante Tema kumateti ne' Elifasi'a amanage huno Jopuna kenona hunte'ne,
Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
2 Knare antahi'zane vahe'mo'a e'inara huno agafa'a omne kea ohantagege, zage hanati kazigati amuhonentake zaho'mo eno eme vazi zoreankna huno agi'arina osiresine.
“Would a wise man answer with such empty ‘knowledge’ that is just a lot of hot air?
3 Hagi knare antahi'zane vahe'mo'a nena'a omne kea huno ke hara regahifi?
He wouldn't argue with unprofitable speeches using words that do no good.
4 Hianagi kagra Anumzamofona korora huntenka, agesga hunka Agri agorga nomanine.
But you are doing away with the fear of God, and destroying communion with him.
5 Hagi kumika'amo hugasmigenka nanekea nehane. Kagra knare nanekema hunka vahe'ma azeri savri'ma hu'arera knare hu'nane.
It's your sins that are doing the talking, and you are choosing deceptive words.
6 Nagra huhaviza hunogantoanki, kagri kagi'mo huhaviza hunegante. Kagri kagefu'namo maka havizanka'a huama hunegante.
Your own mouth is condemning you, not me; your own lips are testifying against you.
7 Kagra kagesama antahi'nana, vahera fore osu'nege'na nagra esera fore hu'noe hunka nehampi? Hifi kagrama kagesama antahinana, agonaramina fore osu'nege'na nagra fore hutogeno, henka fore hu'ne hunka nehano?
Were you the very first person to be born? Were you born before the hills were created?
8 Anumzamo'ma Agra'a keagama retroma hifina kagra mani'nampi? Hagi kagrake'za knare antahi'zana erinampi?
Were you there listening in God's council? Does wisdom only belong to you?
9 Hagi tagrama antahita ketama osu'nona zana, na'a tagaterenka nentahinka, tagrama antahini'ma osu'nona zana, na'a tagaterenka kagra antahinira hu'nane?
What do you know that we don't? What do you understand that we don't?
10 Hagi tagri kazigama mani'naza ranra vahe'ma, efeke zamazoka'ma reana vahe'mo'za kagri negafana agatere'za za'zakna mani'naze.
We have among us old, gray-haired people much older than your father!
11 Hagi knafima mani'nankeno Anumzamo'ma kazeri so'ema hiazamo'a, osi huno knarera huogantefi? Hagi akoheno'ma fru kema hugamia kemo'a, knarera huoganteo?
Are the comforts God provides too little for you? Are God's gentle words not enough for you?
12 Na'amo higeno antahintahi kamo'a afe'arera nevigeno, kavumo'a ke so'ea nosie?
Why do you let yourself be carried away by your emotions?
13 E'ina'ma nehigenka Anumzamofona krimpa ahenentenka, keonke keretira azeri havizana nehane?
Why do your eyes flash in anger that you turn against God and let yourself speak this way?
14 Hagi ama mopafina magore huno agru vahera omani'neankino, ama mopafina fatgo vahera omanitfa hu'ne.
Who can say they are clean? Which human being can say that they do what is right?
15 Hagi ko, Anumzamo'a ankero vahetmina antahi nozmie. Hagi monafi vahe'mo'enena Anumzamofo avurera agrua osu'naze.
Look, God doesn't even trust his angels—even the heavenly beings are not pure in his sight!
16 Hagi mopafi vahe'mota agru osuta kumike vahe mani'nonankita, kefo avu'ava'ma hu'zankura tinku'ma ave'nesigeno'ma hiaza huno tusi taga'nete.
How much less pure are those who are unclean and corrupt, drinking in sin like water!
17 Hagi Jopuga nagra kaveri hugahuanki, kama antahio. Nagrama ke'na anthi'nama hu'noa zamofona huama hu'na kasamigahue.
If you are ready to listen to me, I will show you. I will explain my insights.
18 Knare antahi'zane vahe'mo'zama zamafahe'mofompinti'ma eri'naza antahintahia eri fraoki, eri ama' hazage'na nagra antahi'noe.
This is what wise men have said, confirmed by their ancestors,
19 Hagi e'inahu antahi'zama eri'naza vahera zamagra mopa agafa vahe mani'naze. Hagi zamagra emani vahera omani'naze.
those who to whom alone the land was given before foreigners ever were there.
20 Hagi kefo avu'ava zama nehia vahe'mo'a, mika zupa atazampi manino nevie.
The wicked writhe in pain all their lives, through all the years these oppressors survive.
21 Ana nehuno azeri agogofe'zamofo agasasankea antahi vava nehuno, musema huno mani knafinena ha' vahekura korora hu vava nehie.
Terrifying sounds fill their ears; even when they think they're safe, the destroyer will attack them.
22 Hagi agrama amentintima hiana, fegi'ma atirami'na hanizampima vanuana, bainati kazinteti nahe frigahaze huno korora nehie.
They don't believe they will escape the darkness—they know a sword is waiting for them.
23 Hagi agra bretigura hakeno vano nehuno, igati bretia erigahueha huno agesa nentahie. Hanizamo'ma retrotra'ma huno'ma tava'oma'are'ma me'neana, ko antahino keno hu'ne.
They wander around looking for food, asking ‘Where is it?’ They know that their day of darkness is close at hand.
24 Atazamo'ene hazenke zamo'ene azeri koro higeno, hate vunaku trotra nehia kini ne'mo nehiaza huno antahintahi hakare nehie.
Misery and torment overwhelm them like a king preparing for battle.
25 Na'ankure azana anakino mopa nemasagino, Hanavenentake Anumzamofona huhaviza hunte'ne.
They shake their fists in God's face, defiantly challenging the Almighty,
26 Hagi agra hanko azampina eri'neno Anumzamofona hara huntenaku agareno vu'ne.
insolently attacking him with their shields.
27 Hanki afovamo'a avugosa eri anonevazigeno afafafina afovamo'a avite'neanagi,
They have become fat in their rebellion, their bellies bloated with fat.
28 agra haviza hu'nea kumapi nemanino, vahe omani zute noma pasru hu'zama hu'nea nompi manigahie.
But their cities will become desolate; they will live in abandoned houses that are crumbling into ruins.
29 Hanki fenozamine zago zmimo'enena zazatera omne fanane huge, keonke zama eri nafa'ama hu'zantmimo'a ruzahera huno mopa atumparera vuno enora osugahie.
They will lose their riches, their wealth will not endure, their possessions will not spread over the earth.
30 Hanki agra hanizampintira atreno ofregahie. Hagi zagemofo amuhomo ne'zana te hagege nehanigeno, Anumzamo'ma asimu'ma antesia zaho'mo, ahe fanane hugahie.
They will not escape from the darkness. Like a tree whose shoots are burned up in a forest fire, the breath of God will blow him away.
31 Hanki negi vahe'mo'zama nehazaza hu'za nena'a omne fenozantera zamentintia osiho. Na'ankure e'inahu vahe'mo'a agra agu'agesa'ama omne zampintira mago mizana e'origahie.
They should not trust in things that are worthless, for their reward will be worthless.
32 Hanki e'inahu vahera kasefa vahe mani'neza ame hu'za frisageno, zagasefage ani'nane zafamo'ma hariri hiaza hu'za fanene hugahaze.
This will be paid in full before their time has come. They are like tree branches that wither,
33 Hanki agra nena osu'negeno tagi'za tro hu'naza waini tinkna nehuno, olivi zafa amosaremo raga'a fore osu'negeno ame huno tagiramiankna hugahie.
like vines that lose their unripe grapes, or olive trees that lose their flowers.
34 Hanki Anumzamofo kema antahino amage'ma onte vahe'mo'a mofavrea kase nontesigeno, havigema huno knare osu kankmunteti'ma zagoma erino feno vahe'ma mani'nesia vahe'mofo seli nomo'a teveregahie.
For those who reject God are barren, and fire will burn up the homes of those who love bribes.
35 Na'ankure ana vahe'mo'a hazenke zamofo amu'ene huno kefo avu'ava'za kasenente. E'ina huno arimpafintira havigema huno vahe'ma revatgama hu'za erifore nehie.
They plan trouble and produce evil, giving birth to deception.”
