Man born of a woman is short of days, and sated with harrowing trouble.
2 Trazamo amosre ahenteteno, ame huno friankna vahe'mota nehune. Huge zagemo hanatino remsa higeno amema'amo ame huno fore huteno, ame huno fanane hiankna nehune.
Like a flower he cometh forth, and is cut down: and he fleeth like a shadow, and remaineth not.
3 Hagi Kagra e'inahu vahete kavua antenka ketenka mani'nano? Kagra e'inahu vahe zamavarenka keaga huzmantenka refkoa hunezmantano?
And yet on such a one dost thou open thy eyes, and me thou bringest into judgment with thee?
4 Hagi agruma osu vahera, iza azeri agru hugara hu'ne? I'o mago'mo'a anara osutfa hugahie.
Who can make a clean thing out of an unclean? not one [thing].
5 Hagi manita vanuna kna Kagra antahinka kenka hu'nane. Tagra nama'a ika manita vugahune, Kagra antahinka kenka hu'nanankinka, ko e'inahu kna'afi manigahaze hunka hunte'nanankino, mago vahe'mo'a agra'ama manino'ma vania kna'a azeri za'zara huno omanigahie.
Seeing that his days are determined, the number of his months are [fixed] with thee, that thou hast set his bounds which he cannot pass:
6 E'ina hu'negu amnerega kavua antenka negenka, natrege'na mani'ne'na zago eri'za eneri'za vahe'mo'zama nehazaza hu'na manisua kna'afina eri'zana e'neri'na musenkasea ha'neno.
Turn thyself from him that he may recover from his pain, and be able to enjoy like a hired laborer his day.
For there is hope for the tree: if it be cut down, it may still sprout again, while its young shoot will not cease.
8 Hagi ana zafamofo arafu'namo'a ome ra huno osaparesingeno, agafa'amo'a hagege huno mopafina kasrigahie.
If even its root become old in the earth, and its stock die in the dust:
9 Hianagi mopafina tima me'nenigeno'a ana zafamo'a ete agata hageno, kasefa zafagna huno hageno marerigahie.
Yet through the scent of water will it flourish [again], and produce boughs as though It were newly planted.
10 Hianagi vahe'ma frigeno'a hankaveamo'a vaganeregeno, atumparega ra asimu'ma anteteno nefrie.
But man dieth, and lieth powerless: yea, the son of earth departeth—and where is he?
11 Hagi hagerimpima zagema rentegeno'ma amuho huno amu'ma mareriankna nehuno, ra zagema regeno'ma tiramo'ma taneankna huno,
The waters run off from the sea, and the river faileth and drieth up:
12 vahe'mo'a frino manigasa hu'nenigeno monamo'a vagaregahie.
So doth man lie down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they will not awake, and will not be roused out of their sleep.
13 Hanki matipima fraki nantenka kagekani nantenankeno karimpa ahe'zamo'ma evunagateresiana knare hisine. Hianagi ete nagri'ma antahi namisana kna, mago kna huhamprinanto. (Sheol h7585)
Oh who would grant that thou mightest hide me in the nether world, that thou mightest conceal me, until thy wrath be appeased, that thou mightest set for me a fixed time, and remember me then! (Sheol h7585)
14 Hagi fri'ne'nia vahe'mo'a ete otinora manigahifi?
Or, when a man dieth, will he live again? all the days of my time of service would I then wait, till [the hour of] my release were come.
Do thou call, and I will truly answer thee: have a desire for the work of thy hands.
16 Na'ankure menina nagama rerakaure'nama kama vanoma nehuazana negananki, kumi'ma huazamofona ohamprio.
Yet now thou numberest my steps: and thou waitest not with [the punishment of] my sin.
17 Hagi e'ina nehunka kefo navu'nava zana kupi eririnka anaki nentenka kumi'ni'a refitesane.
Sealed up in a bag is my transgression, and thou yet addest to my iniquity.
18 Hianagi agonamo ankariseno eramianka nehigeno, mehimpinti havemo atamana huramiankna nehigeno,
But truly a falling mountain will crumble, and [even] a rock is moved out of its place.
19 tima hageno havea erino eviankna nehanigeno, tima hageno mopa erino viankna hunka vahe'mo'ma maniso'ema hunaku'ma amuha'ma nehiazana eri haviza nehane.
The water weareth out stones; thou sweepest away their fragments [like] the dust of the earth: and so thou destroyest the hope of man.
20 Kagra hankavetinka maka knafina zamazeri zamagatere vava nehanke'za fanane nehazagenka, zamavufaga eri ruzahu hutenka huzmantanke'za friza nevaze.
Thou assailest him with might without ceasing, till he passeth away: thou changest his countenance, and sendest him off.
21 Hagi ana vahe'mokizmi mofavreramimo'za zamagi me'nea vahe mani'nazanagi, zamagra e'i ana zana antahi'za ke'za osu'naze. Hagi zamazeri fenkamima atresniana antahi'za ke'za osugahaze.
His children acquire honor, but he knoweth it not: and they are esteemed little, but he perceiveth nothing of them.
22 Zamagrira zamavufagafintira zamata negrige'za zamatagura nehu'za zamagra zamavufagura zavira netaze.
But his body. on him, feeleth pain, and his soul will mourn for him.
