1 Hagi Fero'a Gaza kumara hara eme huonte'negeno, Filistia vahete'ma fore hania zankura Ra Anumzamo'a kasnampa ne' Jeremaiana amanage huno asami'ne.

The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before the time that Pharaoh smote Gazzah.

2 Ra Anumzamo'a huno, antahiho, noti kazigatira mago ranti hageno ne-eankino mopa eme refi'neteno, maka'zanena refitegahie. Because of the day that cometh to devastate all the Philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Zidon every helper that remaineth; for the Lord devastateth the Philistines, the remnant of the isle of Caphthor.

5 Gaza kumapi vahe'mo'za zamasunku nehu'za zamaseni zamazoka nehare'nageno, Askeloni kumapintira mago zamofo agasasa omanetfa hugahie. Hagi agupo kokampima osi'ama maniza vahe'mota, tamavufgama taga nehazageno korama nehia zana ina zupa atregahaze?

Baldness is come upon Gazzah; ruined is Ashkelon with the remnant of their valley: how long yet wilt thou cut thyself?

6 Hagi Ra Anumzamofo bainati kazimoka vahe'ma zamazeri havizama nehana zana nazupa atrenka amnea manigahane huta tamagra kezatiho. Kagra bainati kazimoka kuka'afi ufrenka, akohenka umanio.

Woe! thou sword of the Lord, how long yet wilt thou not be quiet? withdraw thyself into thy scabbard, take thee rest, and be still.

7 Hianagi Ra Anumzamo'ma bainati kazimofoma hunteno, Askeloni rankuma'ene hagerimofo ankenaregama nemaniza vahe'enema ha' ome huzamanto huno huntesigeno eno, eri'zama eme e'nerisuno'a, inankna huno mani frua hugahie?

Yet how canst thou be quiet? When the Lord hath given it a charge, against Ashkelon, and against the sea-coast—thither hath he destined it.
