Zeremaia 40

1 Hagi Jeremaiane, maka Jerusalemi kumapi vahe'ene Juda mopafi vahe'enena Babiloni vahe'mo'za zamazeri'za seni nofiteti kina rezmantete'za zamavare'za Babiloni kina ome huzmante'naku vu'za, Rama kumate'ma uhanatizageno'a Babiloni sondia vahete ugota kva ne' Nebusaradani'a Jeremaiama kinama rente'naza seni nofira katufente'ne. Ana hutegeno henka Ra Anumzamo'a Jeremaiana nanekea asami'ne.

The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, after Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, hath sent him from Ramah, in his taking him — and he a prisoner in chains — in the midst of all the removal of Jerusalem and of Judah, who are removed to Babylon.

2 Hagi Babiloni sondia vahete ugota kva ne'mo'a Jeremaiana ke higeno egeno amanage huno asami'ne. Ra Anumzana kagri Anumzamo'a huama huno, ama kumatera ama hazenke zana fore hugahie huno hu'ne.

And the chief of the executioners taketh Jeremiah, and saith unto him, 'Jehovah thy God hath spoken this evil concerning this place,

3 Ana hu'neankino Ra Anumzamo'a kema hu'nea kante amage anteno ana maka zana huvagare'ne. Na'ankure Ra Anumzamofo avurera tamagra kumi nehutma Agri nanekea antahita amagera onte'naze. Ana hu'nazagu huno ama ana knazantamimo'a tamagritera fore nehie.

and Jehovah bringeth [it] in, and doth as He spake, because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not hearkened to His voice, even this thing hath been to you.

4 Hu'negu menina ko! Kazante'ma kinama regante'naza seni nofira ama katufe atroe. Hagi kagrama antahisankeno knare'ma haniana, amne nagranena Babiloni vananke'na knare hu'ne ome kegava hugantegahue. 'And now, lo, I have loosed thee to-day from the chains that [are] on thy hand; if good in thine eyes to come with me [to] Babylon, come, and I keep mine eye upon thee: and if evil in thine eyes to come with me to Babylon, forbear; see, all the land [is] before thee, whither [it be] good, and whither [it be] right in thine eyes to go — go.' —

5 Hagi kagra maninaku'ma hanunka ete vunka, Babiloni kini ne'mo'ma huhampari antegeno'ma Juda mopafima me'nea kumatamima kegavama hu'nea ne', Safani negeho ne' Ahikamu nemofo Gedalia'ma mani'nere vunka, vahe amunompi agrane umanio. Ana'ma osunaku'ma hanunka inantego vunaku'ma hanantega amne vugahane. Anage nehuno sondia vahete kva ne' Nebusaradani'a Jeremaiana ne'zane musezanena nemino atregeno vu'ne.

and while he doth not reply — 'Or turn back unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath appointed over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him in the midst of the people, or whithersoever it is right in thine eyes to go — go.' And the chief of the executioners giveth to him for the way, and a gift, and sendeth him away,

6 Hagi ana'ma hutegeno'a Jeremaia'a ete Mizpa kumate vuno Ahikamu nemofo Gedali'ene mago'a vahe'ma Juda mopafima zamatrage'zama mani'naza vahe'ene umani'ne.

and Jeremiah cometh in unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, to Mizpah, and dwelleth with him, in the midst of the people who are left in the land.

7 Hagi mago'a Juda sondia vahete kva vahe'ene mago'a sondia vahe'ma ka'ma kokampima umani'naza vahe'mo'zama antahizama, Babiloni kini ne'mo'ma Ahikamu nemofo Gedaliama huhampri antegeno ana maka mopane, zamunte omane vene a'ene mofavre naga'ma zamavare'za Babilonima ovu'za zamatrage'zama mani'naza vahete'ma kegava hia nanekea antahi'naze.

And all the heads of the forces that [are] in the field hear, they and their men, that the king of Babylon hath appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam over the land, and that he hath charged him [with] men, and women, and infants, and of the poor of the land, of those who have not been removed to Babylon;

8 Ana hute'za zamagra Gedalia kenaku Mizpa kumate vu'naze. Hagi anampima vu'nazana Natania nemofo Ismaeliki, Karea nemofo Johananiki, Tanhumeti nemofo Seraiaki, Netofa nagapinti ne' Efai ne' mofavre nagaki, Ma'aka nagapinti ne' Jezani'ene agri nagapinti vene'nemozane maka vu'naze.

and they come in unto Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan sons of Kareah, and Seraiah son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah son of the Maachathite, they and their men.

9 Hagi anante Safani negeho ne' Ahikamu nemofo Gedalia'a ana kva vahe'ene, zamagranema vu'naza vahera amanage huno huvempa huno zamasami'ne. Tamagra ama mopafi manineta, Babiloni kini ne' Nebukatnesa eri'za vahe'ma mani'neta agri agoraga mani zankura korora osiho. Na'ankure e'i ana'ma hanazana knare huta manigahaze.

And swear to them doth Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, and to their men, saying, 'Be not afraid of serving the Chaldeans, abide in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it is well for you;

10 Hagi menina antahiho, tamagri tamagi eri'na nagra Mizpa kumate manine'na, Babiloni vahe'ma tagri'ma eme tagenaku'ma eterema hanaza zupa, nagra zamagrane keaga hugahue. Hianagi tamagra waini ragane, zafa rgaramine, olivi masavenena kavoramimpi eri atru nehuta, tamagrama erita mani'naza kuma tamimpina maniho.

and I, lo, I am dwelling in Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who are come in unto us, and ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruit, and oil, and put in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.'

11 Hagi Juda vahe'mo'zama vu'za e'zama hu'za Moapu mopafine, Amoni vahepine, Idomu mopafine, mago'a mopareganema umani emanima hu'naza vahe'mo'za zamagranema antahizama, Babiloni kini ne'mo'a osi'a vahe'ma zamatrege'za Juda mopafina mani'nageno, Safani negeho Ahikamu nemofo Gedaliama kva azeri otigeno kvama huzmantea nanekema nentahi'za,

And also all the Jews who [are] in Moab, and among the sons of Ammon, and in Edom, and who [are] in all the lands, have heard that the king of Babylon hath given a remnant to Judah, and that he hath appointed over them Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan,

12 Juda vahe'ma zamahe panani'ma hazage'za fre'za maka kazigama umani emanima hu'naregatira Juda mopafi ete e'za, Mizpa kumate'ma Gedalia'ma mani'nere e'naze. Ana hute'za wainine mago'a zafa rgaramina tagiza eri atru hu'naze.

and all the Jews from all the places whither they have been driven, turn back and enter the land of Judah, unto Gedaliah, to Mizpah, and they gather wine and summer fruit — very much.

13 Hagi Karea nemofo Johanani'ene ana maka sondia vahete kva vahe'ma, vahe omani kokampima umani naregatira, Gedalia'ma Mizpa kumate'ma mani'nere e'naze.

And Johanan son of Kareah, and all the heads of the forces that [are] in the field, have come in unto Gedaliah to Mizpah,

14 Hagi zamagra anante Gedaliana amanage hu'za asami'naze, kagrira eme kahe frisie huno Amoni kini ne' Balisi'a huntegeno Natania nemofo Ismaeli'ma ne-e hu'za nehaza nanekea antahi'nampi ontahinano? Hianagi Ahikamu nemofo Gedalia'a ana kezamirera antahi amuhara osu'ne.

and they say unto him, 'Dost thou really know that Baalis king of the sons of Ammon hath sent Ishmael son of Nethaniah to smite thy soul?' And Gedaliah son of Ahikam hath not given to them credence.

15 Hagi anante Karea nemofo Johanani'a Mizpa kumate Gedaliana oku'a amanage huno ome asami'ne, kagra hu izo huge'na vu'na vahe'mo'za ontahi'sazama'a, Netania nemofo Ismaelina ome ahe fri'neno. Na'a agafare kagrira kahe frisige'za, amama eme atruma hu'za kagri kagiafima mani'naza Juda vahe'mo'za panani hu'za fresageno, osi'ama mani'naza Juda vahera frigahaze?

And Johanan son of Kareah hath spoken unto Gedaliah in secret, in Mizpah, saying, 'Let me go, I pray thee, and I smite Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and no one doth know; why doth he smite thy soul? and scattered have been all Judah who are gathered unto thee, and perished hath the remnant of Judah.'

16 Hianagi Ahikamu nemofo Gedalia'a Karea nemofo Johananina amanage huno kenona hunte'ne. Kagra e'inahu avu'ava zana osuo, na'ankure kagrama Ismaelinku'ma nehana nanekea havige nehane.

And Gedaliah son of Ahikam saith unto Johanan son of Kareah, 'Thou dost not do this thing, for falsehood thou art speaking concerning Ishmael.'
