< Jemisi 2 >
1 Hagi nafuhete, hanavenentake masa'ane Rantimofo Jisasi Kraisimpi tamentinti nehaza vahe'motma, rezogitma mago vahekuke tamavesi onteho.
My brethren, do not have the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, [Lord] of glory, with respect of persons:
2 Atru hu'nesafima mago feno ne'mo hentofa kukena erinehankreno, korire asa eri'nentanino efresnigeno, mago amunte omane ne'mo pehenage kukena huno mono'ma nehanafima efresiana,
for if there come unto your synagogue a man with a gold ring in splendid apparel, and a poor man also come in in vile apparel,
3 hentofa kukena huno ea feno ne'mofo kesga huntenka anage nehane, ama knare trate emanio nehunka, amunte omane pehenage kukena huno ea ne'ku, amure otio huge ama nagafi mopare emanio nehane.
and ye look upon him who wears the splendid apparel, and say, Do thou sit here well, and say to the poor, Do thou stand there, or sit here under my footstool:
4 Tamagra'a amu'nontamifina vahe zamazeri havizahu naneke nehutma, kefo antahizanteti vahera refako nehazafi?
have ye not made a difference among yourselves, and become judges having evil thoughts?
5 Antahiho, knare nafuheta, Anumzamo'a ama mopafi vahe zamavufi zamunte omane vaheku' zamentintifi feno vahere huno huhampri zamanteno, Anumzamofo kuma erisanti haregahaze huno Agri'ma avesinentaza vahe huvempa huozmante'nefi?
Hear, my beloved brethren: Has not God chosen the poor as to the world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to them that love him?
6 Hu'neanagi zamunte omane nagara zamazeri haviza nehaze. Feno vahe'mo'za knaza neramami'za, tmavare'za naneke hu tratera nevazafi?
But ye have despised the poor [man]. Do not the rich oppress you, and [do not] they drag you before [the] tribunals?
7 Jisas Kraisi knare agi'ane Ne'mofo nagama mani'nazana, zamagra zamazeri haviza osu'nazafi? Izo zamagra zamazeri haviza hu'naze.
And [do not] they blaspheme the excellent name which has been called upon you?
8 Fatgo hutma avontafepima me'nea kasegema amage'antesnutma, Tavaontamire'ma nemanisaza vahe'mokizmia tamagraguma tamavesi nentesazaza hutma rumokizmia tamavesi zamanteho, anama hanutma tamage avu'avaza hugahaze.
If indeed ye keep [the] royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well.
9 Hu'neanagi rezogitma mago vahekuke tamavesi antesazana, kumi hanageno kasegemo'a tamazeri ama'hina, kasegea hantagi vahe manigahaze.
But if ye have respect of persons, ye commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.
10 Na'ankure, aza'o ana mika kasegema amage'nenteno, anampinti Anumzamofoma magoke kasege'a ruhantagisiana, ana mika kasege ruhantagigahie.
For whoever shall keep the whole law and shall offend in one [point], he has come under the guilt of [breaking] all.
11 Na'ankure Rumofo vene, a'ene monko'zana osiho huno hu'nea Anumzamo Vahera ahe ofriho huno hu'ne. E'ina hu'negu kagrama rumofo vene, a'ene monko'zana osugahananagi, vahe'ma ahe frisazana e'i kasege hantagi vahe manigahane hu'ne.
For he who said, Thou shalt not commit adultery, said also, Thou shalt not kill. Now if thou dost not commit adultery, but killest, thou art become transgressor of [the] law.
12 Hagi keagatamifine, tamavu'tamava hanafina, kinafinti tamavre atre'nea kasegemo refako hurantegahie hutma antahiho.
So speak ye, and so act, as those that are to be judged by [the] law of liberty;
for judgment [will be] without mercy to him that has shewn no mercy. Mercy glories over judgment.
14 Hagi nafuhetma, mago ne'mo'ma namentinti nehue nehuno, ana amentintima avu'avapima erinteno osaniana nankna azahu'za erigahie? E'inahu amentintimo'a aguvazigahifi? I'o.
What [is] the profit, my brethren, if any one say he have faith, but have not works? can faith save him?
15 Magoke magoke knazupa mago negafu'o, negasaro'ma kukenaguro, ne'zankuma atupa hu'nenigenka,
Now if a brother or a sister is naked and destitute of daily food,
16 knareki vuo nagesa antahuana Anumzamo'a knare hugantegahie nehunka, knare kukena nehunka ne'zana negamu huo hunka hunentenka, atupama hunesiazama azama osnanana, e'i kemo'a inankna huno aza hugahie?
and one from amongst you say to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled; but give not to them the needful things for the body, what [is] the profit?
17 Amentinti hu'zamo'enena e'inahu kna hu'ne, tamentinti nehune nehuta, avu'avapima erinteta osanunana, tamentintimo'a amne'zankna hugahie.
So also faith, if it have not works, is dead by itself.
18 Ana hu'neanagi mago'mo'a anage hugahie, mago'amokizmi zamentinti me'geno, mago'amokizmia knare eri'zama eri zamavu'zamava me'ne. Nagra anage nehue, knare erizanka'a omnesigena, nagra kamentintia onkegosue. Hianagi nagra knare eri'za niareti kagrira, namentintini'a kaveri hugahue.
But some one will say, Thou hast faith and I have works. Shew me thy faith without works, and I from my works will shew thee my faith.
19 Tamagra magoke Anumza mani'ne hutma tamentinti nehazana, e'i tamage, havi hankro'mo'zanena anahukna zamentinti nehu'za, kore nehu'za zamahirahi nerege'za mani'naze.
Thou believest that God is one. Thou doest well. The demons even believe, and tremble.
20 Kagra negi nagi vahere! Antahi ama'ma huzankura nontahino, eri'zama'a omane kamentintimo'a amnezankna hugahie.
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Nerageho Abrahamu nemofo Aisakima kresramanavu itare, Anumzamofoma ami'nea zanku'ma, fatgo nere huno hu'neana ontahi'nazafi? (Jen-Agf 22:1-14)
Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Antahi ama huo, Abrahamu'ma amentintima hiazamofona avu'avapi erinteno, ana avu'ava higeno amentintima hu'neazana erignare hu'ne.
Thou seest that faith wrought with his works, and that by works faith was perfected.
23 Hagi avontafepima hu'nea kemo'a efore hu'ne, Abrahamu'a Anumzamofonte amentinti higeno, Anumzamo'a fatgo nere hunte'ne, ana hu'negu Anumzamofo rone'a mani'ne hu'za vahe'mo'za nehaze. (Jen-agf 15:6.)
And the scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness, and he was called Friend of God.
24 Ana hu'negu antahiho, tagra Anumzamofo avure'ma fatgo vahe'ma manisunana, tamentinti'retikerompage, tamentintima nehuta tavutavapima erinteta hanunkeno, fatgo vahere huno hurantegahie.
Ye see that a man is justified on the principle of works, and not on the principle of faith only.
25 Anahukna huno, Rehapu monko a'mo'a afure vahe'ma noma'afi zamavare frakiteno, ru kampinti zamavare atrege'za vu'naza avu'avazama'amo, Anumzamofo avure fatgo ara mani'ne hu'ne. (Jos 2:1-21)
But was not in like manner also Rahab the harlot justified on the principle of works, when she had received the messengers and put [them] forth by another way?
26 Tavufafima tasimu'ma omanesiana frigahune. Hanki anahu'kna huno tamentintige nehuta, tavutavapima eriontesunkeno'a, tamentintimo'a frino amne'zankna hugahie.
For as the body without a spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
