In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib, king of Assyria, came up against all the fortified cities of Judah, and took them.
2 Ana hu'neankino Asiria kini ne'mo'a Lakisi kumate mani'nereti sondia vahete kva vahe'ene rama'a sondia vahe'ene huzmantege'za kini ne' Hezekaia'ma Jerusalemi kumate'ma mani'nerega vu'naze. And the king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem, with a great army, against King Hezekiah, and he halted at the aqueduct of the upper pool, in the highway to the fuller's field.

Then came forth to him Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, who was over the palace, and Shebna the scribe, and Josh, the son of Asaph, the annalist.
4 Hanki ana Asiria sondia vahete ugota kva ne' Rebsaki'a ana 3'a nagara amanage huno zamasami'ne, Hezekaiana amanage huta ome asamiho, marerisa Asiria kini ne'mo'a amanage hu'ne, kagra inankna hankaveka'agu antahintahia nehunka knare hu'noe hunka nehane?
And Rabshakeh said to them, Say ye to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria: What a confidence is this which thou cherishest!
5 Hagi keagage'ma hu'zampintira magora hara agateregahampi? Iza naza hugahie hunka kagesa nentahinka nagrira hara renenantane?
Thou sayest, (but it is vain talk, ) “I have counsel and strength for war.” In whom, then, dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?
6 Hanki ko, menina Isipi vahe'mo'za naza hugahaze hunka kagra antahi amuha nehane. Hianagi Isipi kini ne' Fero avu'avamo'a, mago hakemo hagege hiaza hu'neankino, ana kanonte'ma azama erino rempimpima hanimofona ana azotamo'a futagino azampi kota aheaza hugahie. Hagi Feronte'ma amuha'ma hunemiza vahe'mo'za e'inahu hu'za haviza hugahaze.
Behold, thou trustest in that broken reed-staff, Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will pierce his hand, and go through it. Such is Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to all that trust in him.
7 Hianagi Hezekai'a menina Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamofonku antahi nemifi? But if ye say to me, “We trust in Jehovah, our God,”—is it not he whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem to worship before this altar?
8 Hagi tamagrama antahintahi tamima rukrahe'ma hanaza nanekea menina kvani'a Asiria kini ne'mo'a amanage hu'ne, tamagrama sondia nagatamima knare'ma hu'nesnage'na, hosi agumpima mani'nezama ha'ma hanaza zana 2 tauseni'a hosi afutami tamigahue hu'ne.
Engage, now, with my master, the king of Assyria! and I will give thee two thousand horses, when thou art able to provide for thyself riders for them.
9 Hagi tamagra Isipi vaheku'ma antahizamita karisiramine hosi afutaminena eme taza hanageta hara hugahune hutma nentahize. Hianagi nagri kva ne'mofo sondia vahe'mokizmi kva vahepinti mago agi omane kva ne'mo tamagrira hara huramagateregahie.
How, then, canst thou resist a single captain, one of the least of the servants of my master? Yet thou trustest in Egypt, on account of her chariots and her horsemen.
10 Tamagrama antahi'zana agra'a antahi'zanteti e'no hara huranteno mopatia eri haviza huku nehie hutma nentahizafi? I'o. Ra Anumzamo hunanteno marerinka vunka ama kumara hara ome huntenka eri haviza huo huno hunante'ne.
And am I now come up without Jehovah against this land to destroy it? Jehovah hath said to me, “Go up against this land and destroy it!”
11 Hagi anante Eliakimiki, Sibnaki, Joaki hu'za anankema nentahi'za, Asiria sondia vahete kva nera amanage hu'za asami'naze. Tagra eri'za vahekamota muse hugantonanki, Aramu kea antahi'nonanki, antahinoma kefinti tasamio, na'ankure kagrama Hibru tagerupinti'ma nerasaminanke'za, kuma keginamofo agofetu'ma mani'naza vahe'mo'za anankea antahigahaze.
Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Josh to Rabshakeh: Speak, we beseech thee, to thy servants in the Aramaic language, for we understand it; and speak not to us in the Jewish language, in the hearing of the people that are upon the wall.
12 Hianagi Asiria sondia vahete kva ne' Rebsakia amanage hu'ne, nagri kva ne'mo'ma ama'na kema atrege'nama eri'na e'noana, tamagri kva nete'ene tamagriteke'za atrege'na ome'noanki, anamu kuma kegina agofetu'ma mani'naza vahe'mo'zanena ama nanekea antahigahaze. Na'ankure ha'ma erita eta Jerusalemi kuma'ma eme avazagi kagisanunketa tamagra kva vahe'ene maka vahe'motanena rifane avinena retma negahaze.
But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to speak these words to thy master and to thee only, and not to the people who sit upon the wall, to eat their own dung, and to drink their own urine with you?

Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jewish language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria.
14 Tamagra atrenkeno Hezekaia'a reramataga osino, na'ankure Hezekai'a tamagrira hara huno tamagura vazigara osu'ne.
Thus saith the king: Let not Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you.
15 Hezekaia'ma huno Ra Anumzamo'a taza hanigeta Asiria vahera hara huzmagatereta Jerusalemi kumara agu'vazigahune huno'ma hania kegura tamentintia osiho.
And let not Hezekiah persuade you to trust in Jehovah, saying, “Jehovah will certainly deliver us. This city shall not be delivered into the hands of the king of Assyria.”
16 Hagi Hezekaia nanekea tamagra antahi omiho. Asiria kini ne'mo'a amanage hu'neanki antahiho. Tamagrama fru huta mani'neta tamagra'a waini hozafinti tagita neneta, tamagra'a fiki zafareti tagita neneta, tamagra'a tinkerifinti'ma tima afitama nesanunema hanutma, atretma nagrite enketa tarimpa fru hutama manisnuna nanekea erinte fatgo hamneno.
Hearken not to Hezekiah; for thus saith the king of Assyria: Make peace with me, and come out to me; and ye shall every one eat of his own vine, and every one of his own fig-tree, and ye shall every one drink the waters of his own cistern,
17 Hagi anama huta mani'nesnage'na nagra eme tamavre'na mago mopa tamagri mopagna moparega ome tamantegahue. Ana mopafina waini tima tro hu'zana, waini hoza rama'a megeno, bretima tro hu'zana, witi hoza rama'a me'ne.
until I come, and take you to a land like your own land; a land of corn, and of new wine, a land of bread and of vineyards.
18 Hagi Hezekaia'ma tamagriku'ma huno Ra Anumzamo'a taza hanigeta Asiria vahera hara hu zamageteregahune huno nehiana reramatga nehianki kva hiho. Hianagi ama mopafina mago'a vahe'mofona ru anumzamo'a aza higeno, Asiria kini nera hara hugatere'nefi? I'o.
Be not persuaded by Hezekiah, when he saith, “Jehovah will deliver us.” Have the gods of the nations delivered every one his own land from the hand of the king of Assyria? Where are the gods of Hamath and of Arphad?
19 Hagi Hamati vahe'ma Arpati vahe'ma Sefarvaimi vahe'ma huta ko'ma ha'ma hu zamagtere'nonana anumzazmimo'a iga mani'neno zamaza osu'ne. Ana hige'na Sameria kuma'enema ha'ma hunte'noana anumza'zmimo'a zamaza osige'na, hara hugaterogeno Sameria kumamo'a nagri nazampi me'ne.
Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? And did the gods deliver Samaria from my hand?
20 Hanki tagra rama'a kumatmi hara hu zamagate re'nonanagi, anumza zamimo'za zamaza osazageta mopazmia eri'none. E'ina hu'negu inankna huno Ra Anumzamo'a tamaza hanigeta, hara hutma Jerusalemi rankumara agura vazigahaze?
Who is there among all the gods of these lands, that hath delivered his land out of my hand, that Jehovah should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?
21 Hianagi Asiria sondia vahete kva ne'mo'ma hia nanekerera magore hu'za kenona'a osu'naze. Na'ankure kini ne' Hezekaia huzmanteno magore hutma ke'arera kenona osiho huno huzmante'nege'za anara hu'naze.
But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word; for the king's command was, “Answer him not.”

Then came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that was over the palace, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the annalist, to Hezekiah, with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.
