1 Kusi timofo kantu kazigama zamageko'nama hunte'nea ne'onse zagaramimo'zama hare'za vanoma nehaza mopafima me'nea kumataminkura nasunku huramantoe.

Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which [is] beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:

2 Hagi Isipi vahe'mo'za barozanteti ventea tro hute'za, Naeli timpi zamatrage'za nanekema eri'za vu vahe'mo'za kea eri'za neaze. Hanki neazage'za amanage hu'za huzmante'naze, zaza hu'za zamavufagamo'ma hentofaza hige'za, mopa'zamifina ranra timo'ma tusiza higeno, ana mopafima nemaniza vahe'mo'zama, vahe'ma zamazeri haviza nehazageno maka mopafi vahe'mo'zama tusi koro hunezmantaza vahetega, ame huta viho hu'za huzmante'naze.

That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, [saying], Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!

3 Hagi maka kokankoka mopafima nemaniza vahe'motane, maka zamotanena tamagesa antetma antahiho, agonafima mago avame'zama efore'ma hanigetma kesnagura tamavua keso'e nehutma, ufema resnagura tamagesa anteta manineta antahiho.

All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.

4 Na'ankure Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno nasami'ne, Nagra nemanua kuma'nire mani'ne'na akohe'na, feru zagemo akoheno renteaza hu'na zamagegahue. Ana nehu'na ata ko'mo ne'za vasage knazupa hozafi ko runteaza hu'na, akohe'na maninena zmagegahue hu'ne.

For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, [and] like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.

5 Na'ankure ana kumamo'a, waini zafamo knare huno marerino amosre ahenteteno, raga rentegeno raga'amo afurenaku hiaza nehie. Hianagi waini ragamo afu orenefi vahe'mo, azanku'nama nekafria kazinteti azankunatamin'a roneseno ranra azankunatamina kitagi atregahie.

For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away [and] cut down the branches.

6 Itiopia vahera ha' eme huzmante'za sondia vahe'zamia zamahe hana hanage'za fri'za mopafina me'nenage'za, fri'naza zamavufaga tumpamo'za zagegnafina eme ne'nenage'za, zasi knafina afi zagaramimo'za eme negahaze.

They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.

7 Ana knafina Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Anumzantega musezana eri'za esazana, Itiopia vahera zaza hu'za, zamavufagamo'ma hentofaza hige'za, ranra timo'ma tusiza higeno, ana mopafima nemaniza vahe'ma zamazeri haviza nehazageno, maka mopafi vahe'mo'za tusi koro hunezmantaza vaheki'za Hankavenentake Ra Anumzamofo agima erisgama nehaza mono nonte, Saioni agonare muse zazamia eri'za egahaze.

In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.
