< Hosea 8 >

1 Hagi ufena tamagite anteta reho! Tumpa namamo nehiaza hu'za ha' vahe'mo'za Ra Anumzamofo nona eme avazagi kanegize. Na'ankure zamagra huhagerafi huvempa keni'a ruha'nentagi'za, kasegeni'a ha'rente'nazagu anara hugahaze.
Set the cornet to thy mouth. [Let the enemy come] like the eagle against the house of the Lord: because they have transgressed my covenant, and against my law have they trespassed.
2 Israeli vahe'mo'za nagritega amanage hu'za zavi krafagea hu'naze. Anumzamoka tagri Anumza mani'nanketa tagra keta antahita kagrira hu'none hu'za hu'naze.
To me will they then cry, My God, we, Israel, know thee.
3 Hianagi Israeli vahe'mo'za knare avu'ava zana zamagena humi'nazankino, ha' vahe'amo'za zamahe'za zamarotago hugahaze.
[But] Israel did reject the good; so let the enemy pursue him.
4 Hagi zamagra nagripintira hu izo kea e'orine'za, kini vahera zamazeri oti'naze. Nagra ke'na antahina osu'noge'za, kva vahera zamazeri oti'naze. Hagi silva zamireti'ene golireti'enena kaza osu havi anumzana tro hunte'nazanagi, ana zamo'a zamazeri haviza hugahie.
They set up kings, but not my advice: they chose princes and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made themselves idols so that they will be cut off.
5 Hagi Sameri'a vahe'mota bulimakao anenta'amofo amema'ama golire'ma tro'ma hunte'naza zankura, nagra tusiza hu'na narimpa ahenezmantoe. E'i ana zantera tusiza huno narimpa neheanki, nazupa kefo avu'ava zana atreta knarera huta manigahaze?
Thy calf, O Samaria, hath caused thy rejection; my anger is kindled against them: how long will it be that they cannot cleanse themselves?
6 Hagi mago Israeliti eri'za vahe'mo ana havi anumzana azanteti tro hunte'neankino, e'i anumzana omanine. E'ina hu'negu ana zantamina erita ru tamanatamanu hutreho.
For whom Israel did also that [idol] spring; an artisan made it, and no God is it: so then shall it become broken in splinters— that calf of Samaria.
7 Hagi tamagra menina zaho nehankrazankita henka ra zahokrerfa hamaregahaze. Hagi witia hankre'nageno marerigahianagi, raga reontegahie. Hagi marerino ragama rente'niana, ha' vahe'mo'za musufa emerigahaze.
For the wind do they sow, and the whirlwind shall they reap: [their seed] bringeth no standing corn; the plant yieldeth no meal; but should it yield it, strangers would swallow it up.
8 Hagi Israeli vahera zamasagahu nakarisige'za, haviza hu'nea kavo meaza hu'za kokankoka vahe amu'nompi mani fankanu haregahaze.
Swallowed up is Israel: now are they among the nations as a vessel without any value.
9 Na'ankure zamagra afi donki afumo agra'a avesi'zante vano hiaza hu'za Asiria mareriza vu'naze. Hagi Efraemi'a zagore monko avu'avara huno vano hu'ne.
For they are needs gone up to Assyria, they who like a wild ass should dwell alone: Ephraim spendeth lovers' gifts.
10 Hagi zamagra ru vahete zamavufaga zagore ome atre'nazanagi, Nagra zamazeri atru hu'na keaga huzmantegahue. Hanki hankave kini ne'mo knazana zamino zamazeri haviza hume nevanige'za, osi'a vahe manigahaze.
But even though they should spend gifts among the nations, now will I gather them: and they shall be humbled a little through the burden of the king of princes.
11 Hagi Efraemi vahe'mo'za ofama hu ita rama'a tro hu'nazanagi, e'i ana itaramimo'a Nagri navurera kumima hu itarami efore nehie!
Because Ephraim hath multiplied altars to sin, the altars have been unto him the means of sinning.
12 Hagi Nagra rama'a kasege krezami'noanagi, zamagra ana kasegea kazageno amanezankna hige'za, tagri'zana omane'ne nehu'za, ana kasegeni'a amagera onte'naze.
I ever wrote down for him the great things of my law; but as a strange thing are they accounted.
13 Hagi zamagra nagritega ofa eme kresramana nevu'za, ana afu'mofo ame'a ne'nazanagi, Ra Anumzamo'a ana ofagura musena nosue. Hagi menina kefo avu'avaza zamigura agesa nentahino, kumi'ma hu'naza zantera knazana zaminige'za, ete Isipi rukrahe hu'za vugahaze.
My sacrificial offerings they slay as common flesh that they may eat it; the Lord accepteth them not in favor: now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins; they shall indeed return to Egypt.
Hianagi Nagra teve atresugeno rankumazmia tefanane nehina, vihu kumazminena tevemo tefanane hugahie.
For Israel forgot his Maker, and built palaces; and Judah multiplied fortified cities; but I will send a fire among his cities, and it shall devour their fine edifices.
