< Hosea 12 >

Ephraim's food is the wind, and he goes after the east wind: deceit and destruction are increasing day by day; they make an agreement with Assyria, and take oil into Egypt.
2 Ra Anumzamo'a Juda vahera keaga hunezmanteno, zamagrama hu'naza zamavu zamavatera Jekopu nagara knazana zamino zamazeri haviza hugahie.
The Lord has a cause against Judah, and will give punishment to Jacob for his ways; he will give him the reward of his acts.
3 Hagi Jekopu'a nerera arimpafima mani'neno'a, nefu agiare azerino hara hunte'ne. Hagi ra vahe'ma neseno'a, Anumzane hara hu'ne.
In the body of his mother he took his brother by the foot, and in his strength he was fighting with God;
4 Hagi agra ankero ne' hara huno agatenereno, agri'ma asomu'ma hunte'nigura zavira neteno antahige'ne. Hagi agra Anumzamofona Beteli eme keno erifore huno keaga nehuno, asunkuma hunteno azama hanigura agri'enena keaga hu'ne.
He had a fight with the angel and overcame him; he made request for grace to him with weeping; he came face to face with him in Beth-el and there his words came to him;
5 Ra Anumzana Agra Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Anumzankino, agi'a Ra Anumzane.
Even the Lord, the God of armies; the Lord is his name.
6 Ana hu'negu menina tamagra'a Anumzante rukrahe huta eta vahe'ma avesinte avu'avazane, vahe'ma knare hunte avu'ava zanena eme azeri hankavetiho. Ana nehuta tamagra'a Anumzamofonte amuhara huta viho.
So then, come back to your God; keep mercy and right, and be waiting at all times on your God.
As for Canaan, the scales of deceit are in his hands; he takes pleasure in twisted ways.
And Ephraim said, Now I have got wealth and much property; in all my works no sin may be seen in me.
9 Hianagi Nagra Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamo'na, Isipitira tamavre'na atirami'noa Anumza mani'noankina, ko'ma fugagi noma kita manita e'naza zanku'ma antahimita seli noma kita nemaniza kna huta, ete tamatrenugeta ete seli nompi umanigahaze.
But I am the Lord your God from the land of Egypt; I will give you tents for your living-places again as in the days of the holy meeting.
10 Hagi Nagra kasnampa vaheni'afi huvazi'na nanekea nehu'na, avanagna zana rama'a eri zamaveri nehu'na, rama'a fronka kea zamagripi huvazi'na tamasmi'noe.
My word came to the ears of the prophets and I gave them visions in great number, and by the mouths of the prophets I made use of comparisons.
11 Hianagi Gileati vahe'mo'za kefo avu'ava'ene vahe mani'nazanki'za, knare osu vahe mani'naze. Hagi Gilgali kumate'enena bulimakao afu ahe'za havi anumzantera Kresramana vu'nazankino, Kresramana vu itama tro'ma hu'naza zamo'a hozama rekorinte agupomofo refarega have eri hihi huntazankna huno meno vu'ne.
In Gilead there is evil. They are quite without value; in Gilgal they make offerings of oxen; truly their altars are like masses of stones in the hollows of a ploughed field.
12 Hagi korapara Jekopu'a (Israeli) Aramu moparega freno umani'neno, sipisipima kegava hia zanteti ara eri'ne.
And Jacob went in flight into the field of Aram, and Israel became a servant for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.
13 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'a kasnampa ne'mofompi huvazino Israeli vahera Isipitira zamavareno atirami'ne. Ana nehuno ana kasnampa ne'mofompi huvazino kegava huzmante'ne.
And by a prophet the Lord made Israel come up out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was kept safe.
14 Hianagi Efraemi vahe'mo'za kefo avu'ava zantfa hu'za Ra Anumzamofona azeri arimpa ahe'naze. E'ina hu'negu menina Ra Anumzamo'a vahe'ma zamahe'za korama eritagi'naza knazana eri zamagofetu nenteno, kumi avu'avazama hu'naza zantera nona huno mika zamazeri haviza hugahie.
I have been bitterly moved to wrath by Ephraim; so that his blood will be on him, and the Lord will make his shame come back on him.
