1 Hanki ana kafufina 7ni ikamofona 21ni knazupa Ra Anumzamo'a kasnampa ne' Hagai agipi huvazino mago'ene amanage hu'ne.
In the seventh month, on the twenty-first of the month, came the word of Yahweh, by the hand of Haggai the prophet, saying:
2 Juda mopafima ugagota hu'nea Gavana ne' Sieltieli nemofo Zerubabeline, ugagota pristi ne' Jehozadaki nemofo Josuane, Anumzamofo vahe'ma ofri osi'ama mani'naza vahera amanage hunka zamasamio.
Speak, I pray thee, unto Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, pasha of Judah, and unto Jehoshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, —and unto the remnant of the people, saying: —
3 Amama mani'naza vahe kevufintira iza kora mani'neno, ama mono nomofo avasase zama'a ke'ne? Menima kazana tamagri tamavurera inankna nehie? Tamagrama kazana koma hu'nea zana avasase'a omaneno amne zankna nehifi?
Who is there among you that is left, that saw this house, in its former glory? And how do ye see it now? Is it not, in comparison with that, as nothing, in your eyes?
4 Hianagi menina Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno hie, Zerubabeliga menina oti hankavetio. Ugota pristi ne' Jehozadaki nemofo Josuagane, osi'a naga'ma ofri'ma ana mopafima mani'naza vahe'mota oti hanavetineta eri'zana eri agafa hiho. Na'ankure Nagra tamagrane mani'nena tamaza hugahue huno Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a nehie.
Now, therefore—Be strong, O Zerubbabel, urgeth Yahweh, and be strong, O Jehoshua son of Jehozadak the high priest, and be strong, all ye people of the land, urgeth Yahweh, and work; For, I, am with you, Declareth Yahweh of hosts.
5 Tamagehe'zama Isipi mopareti'ma neazage'na huvempama huzmante'noa kante, Nagri Avamu'mo'a tamagri'ene mani'negu tamagra korora osiho.
The very thing that I solemnized with you, when ye came forth out of the land of Egypt, That, my spirit abiding in your midst, ye should not fear.
6 Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a amanage nehie. Nagra osi'a knafi mago'ene monane, mopane, hagerine, eri kaza hugahue.
For, thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Yet once, a little, it is, —and I am shaking the heavens and the earth, and the sea and the dry land;
7 Maka ama mopafima me'nea kumatamina eri kaza hugahue. Ana hanuge'za maka kokankoka vahe'mo'za marerisa zago feno zamia eri'za ama mono nompi egahaze. Nagra ama mono nompina hihamu masa zanteti ante avitegahue huno Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a hu'ne.
And I will shake all the nations, and the delight of all the nations, shall come in, —and I will fill this house with glory, saith Yahweh of hosts.
8 Silva Nagri suza megeno, golia Nagri suza me'ne huno Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a huama hu'ne.
Mine is the silver and Mine the gold, Declareth Yahweh of hosts:
9 Ama mono nomofoma kote'ma me'nea avasase zama'a, henkama esania avasase zamo'a rugateregahie. Ana hanige'na ama kumapina arimpa fruza eri'na egahue huno Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a huama hu'ne.
Greater shall be the last glory of this house than the first, saith Yahweh of hosts, —and, in this place, will I give prosperity, Declareth Yahweh of hosts.
10 Hagi kini ne' Dariusi'ma kinima manino egeno nampa 2ma hia kafumofona, 9ni ikampina 24zupa Ra Anumzamo'a mago'ene kasnampa ne' Hagaina amanage huno nanekea eme asami'ne,
On the twenty-fourth of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of Yahweh unto Haggai the prophet, saying:
11 Monafima mani'naza sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno hie. Kasegemo'a na'ane huno hu'nefi pristi vahera zamantahigeta keho.
Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, —I pray you, ask the priests a direction, saying:
12 Hagi ofama nehanaza afupinti mago vahe'mo'ma ruotagema hu'nea ame'ama erino zaza kukena'afi erinte kafagino erino nevanigeno, ana kukenamo bretirero, kre ne'zantero, waini tintero olivi masaventero, mago'a ne'zante'ma avako'ma hanigeno'a, ana zantamimo'a ruotage hugahifi anara osugahie? Anagema hige'za pristi naga'mo'za hu'za, i'o anara osugahie hu'za hu'naze.
If a man carry holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and then toucheth with his skirt bread or a cooked dish or wine or oil or any food, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
13 Hagi anante Hagai'a amanage huno zamantahige'ne, Mago vahemo'ma fri'nesia vahe avufgare'ma avako huteno, ete ne'zama avako hanigeno'a, ana zantamimo'a agru hugahifi agrua osugahie? Anagema hige'za pristi naga'mo'za kenona hu'za, I'zo agru osugahie hu'za hu'naze.
Then said Haggai, If one who is defiled for a dead person touch any of these, shall it be defiled? And the priests answered and said, It shall be defiled.
14 Anante Hagai'a huno, Ama vahe'mo'zane, ama kokampima nemaniza vahe'mo'zanena e'inahu hu'naze, maka'zama nehu'za, maka ofama nehaza zanena kumizmi'mo eri pehena hu'ne.
Then answered Haggai and said, So, is this people and, so, is this nation before me, Declareth Yahweh, and, so, is every work of their hands, —therefore, whatsoever they offer there, is, defiled.
15 Hianagi Anumzamo'a huno, Tamagra Ra Anumzamofo mono noma eri agafa huta tra'a onki'nazageno'ma tamagrite'ma fore'ma hu'nea zankura, refkohu so'e huta keteta anara hiho.
Now, therefore, I pray you apply your heart, from this day and upwards, —So long as there had not been laid one stone upon another in the temple of Yahweh,
16 Ne'za kevuma ante'nazana tamagra ome erinaku'ma nevuta, 20'a kupi eririgahune huta tamagesa antahi'naze. Hianagi 10ni'a kupinke'za eriri'naze. Waini ragama regatati'ma nehuta 50'a kavofi afi avitegahune huta tamagesa antahi'naze. Hianagi 20'a kavofinke'za afi avite'naze.
So long were things thus, that, on coming unto a heap of twenty, then was it found to be ten, —on coming unto the vat to draw off fifty measures, then were there found to be twenty.
17 Nagra hozama eri havizama nehia kriramine, ranra komopa ko'ene atrogeno maraguzamatita hozafima eri fore'ma hu'naza ne'zantamina eri haviza hu'neanagi, tamagra Nagritera rukrahera huta nomaze, huno Ra Anumzamo'a hu'ne.
I smote you with blight and with mildew and with hail, in all the work of your hands, —Yet ye did not return unto me, Declareth Yahweh.
18 Meninteti'ma agafa huno vanigeta, 9ni ikamofo 24zupama Ra Anumzamofo mono nomofo tra'ama eri agafama huta ki'naza knagura tamagesa antahintahi hiho.
Apply your heart, I pray you, from this day and upwards, —from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, even from the day when was founded the temple of Yahweh, apply your heart:
19 Avimzama ohankreta atrazageno nompima menegeno, witima ohamarazageno, waini ragamo'ma nofitema reontegeno, fiki zafamo'ene pomigreneti zafamo'ene olivi zafamo'zanena raga reonte'nazare huvempa hu'na neramasamue. Hagi menima ama knareti'ma agafama huno vaniana, Nagra asomu huramantenugeta rama'aza antegahaze.
Is the seed yet in the store-house? Howbeit, though at present neither, the vine nor the fig-tree nor the pomegranate nor the olive tree, hath brought forth, from this very day, will I bless you.
20 Ra Anumzamo'a ana ikamofona 24 zupa amanage huno mago'ene Hagai'na nanekea nasami'ne,
Then came the word of Yahweh, the second time unto Haggai, on the twenty-fourth of the month, saying:
21 Juda mopare'ma ugotama hu'nea Gavana ne' Zerubabelina asaminka, Nagra Anumzamo'na kofa'a knafi monaramine mopanena eri kaza hugahue huno hie hunka asamio.
Speak thou unto Zerubbabel, pasha of Judah, saying, —I am shaking, the heavens and the earth;
22 Nagra ama mopafi kini vahera kini tratetira zamazeri netre'na, megi'a kini vahe'mo'zama kegavama nehaza hankavezmia eri haviza nehu'na, karisiramine agumpima mani'za vanoma nehaza vahe'enena zamazeri atregahue. Hosi agumpima mani'za vanoma nehaza vahe'mo'za bainati kazinteti zamagra'a ohefri ahefri hugahaze.
And I will overturn the throne of kingdoms, and will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nations, —and I will overturn the chariots and them who ride therein, and horses and their riders, shall come down, every man by the sword of his brother.
23 Hianagi Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a huno, ama ana zama fore'ma nehanige'na Sieltieli nemofo Zerubabeliga, Nagri eri'za vahe mani'nanku kazerisga hu'na rankagi kamigahue. Na'ankure Nagra ko kagrira huhampri kante noankinka, kini vahe'mo'zama zamazampima ante'neza avame'zama renekamaraza rinigna hu'nane huno Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a huama hu'ne.
On that day, declareth Yahweh of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel—my servant, declareth Yahweh, and will set thee as a signet-ring; For, thee, have I chosen, Declareth Yahweh of hosts.
