< Hagai 1 >
1 Pesia mopafi kini ne' Dariusi'ma kinima manino egeno nampa 2ma hia kafufina, 6si ikamofona ese knazupa, ama nanekea Ra Anumzamo'a kasnampa ne' Hagaina nemino, Juda mopare ugagota hu'nea Gavana ne', Sieltieli nemofo Zerubabeline, ugagota Pristi ne' Jehozadaki nemofo Josuakizani zanasamio huno asami'nea naneke.
In the second year of the reign of king Darius, on the first day of the sixth month, the Lord sent a message through the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest.
The Lord Almighty says this: the people say, “This isn't the proper time to rebuild the Lord's house.”
3 Anagema hazazanku Ra Anumzamo'a kasnampa ne' Hagai agipi huvazino amanage hu'ne,
Then the Lord sent a message through the prophet Haggai, saying,
4 Tamagra na'a higeta Nagri mono nona atrazageno havizana huno me'negeta, marerisa nontamimpina tamagra nemanize?
Is it the proper time for you to live in your paneled houses while this house remains a ruin?
5 E'ina hu'negu Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a huno, tamagrama nehaza avu'ava zantamia refkohu so'e huta keho.
So the Lord Almighty says this: Think about what you're doing!
6 Tamagra rama'a hoza nentazanagi, nezama'a osi'a e'nerize. Tamagra ne'zana nenazanagi, tamamura nosie. Tamagra tina nenazanagi, mago'ene tinkura tamave'nesie. Tamagra kukena nehazanagi, anazamo'a tamavufga azeri amuhoa nosie. Tamagra zago eri'zana erita kutamifina erinerizanagi, hagro hu'nea kutamifi erinerize.
You have sown much but harvested little. You eat but you're still hungry. You drink but you're still thirsty. You put on clothes but you're still cold. You work hard to earn money but put it in a bag full of holes.
7 Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a amanage hu'ne. Tamagrama nehaza avu'ava zana refkohu so'e huta keho.
The Lord Almighty says this: Think about what you're doing!
8 Tamagra agonaramimpi marerita zafa ome antagita eta Nagri mono nona eme kiho. Ana'ma hanage'na Nagra anazankura muse nehanuge'za, anampina Nagri nagia husga hugahaze huno Ra Anumzamo'a hu'ne.
Go into the hills and bring wood to build the house. This will please me and honor me, says the Lord.
9 Hozafintira tamagra knare huta ne'zana hamaregahune huta amuhara hu'nazanagi, ne'zamo'a hunte so'e nosie. Tamagra ana ne'zama erita nontamire'ma azana, Nagra ana ne'zantamina huhu hunetroe. Na'a hige'na anara nehue? Na'ankure Nagri mono nomo'a evuramino haviza huno me'negeta, atreta tamagra'ama knare'nare nontamima kisaza zante maragu'zama neti'za zante, anara nohue huno Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a hu'ne.
You were hoping for so much, but look, it turned out to be so little. Everything you brought home I blew away. And why was that? Because my house remains a ruin while you are preoccupied with building your own houses, declares the Lord Almighty.
10 E'inahu tamavu tamava'ma nehaza zanku huno, hampompintira komo'a eoramigeno, hozafina ne'zamo'a hunte so'e nosie.
That's why the clouds of heaven refused to send rain, and the earth refused to produce crops.
11 Nagra kora atresugeno mopafina ruontegahiankino, agonaramimo'ene mopamo'enena hagege nehanigeno, witimo'ene waini ragamo'ene olivi zafa ragamo'enena hagege nehanigeno, maka ama mopafima hageno mareneria zantamimo'enena hagege hugahie. Ana'ma hanigeno'a vahemo'ene afutamimo'zanena ne'zama ne'zankura hakegahaze. Anazanke huno tamagrama maraguzamatita eritruma hu'naza zantamimo'a maka haviza hugahie.
I called for a drought on the land, on the hills, on the grain fields, on the vineyards, and on the olive groves—on whatever the earth produces—and on people and livestock, on everything you do!
12 Anante Sieltieli nemofo Zerubabeli'ene, pristi ne' Jehozadaki nemofo Josua'ene, pristi vahe'mo'zane Anumzamofo vahe'ma ofri osi'ama mani'naza vahe'mo'zanena Ra Anumzana Anumzazamimofo naneke amage ante'naze. Ra Anumzana zamagri Anumzamo'ma kasnampa ne' Hagaima asamigeno, eme zamasamia kante ante'za zamagu'areti hu'za ana nanekea amage ante fatgo hu'naze. Ana nehu'za Ra Anumzamofonku koro hunente'za Agri agorga mani'naze.
Then Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest, together with all the remaining people, paid attention to what the Lord said, and to the words of Haggai the prophet that the Lord their God had sent. The people showed reverence before the Lord.
13 Anante Ra Anumzamofo kato ne' Hagai'a amanage huno Ra Anumzamofo nanekea vahera zamasami'ne. Ra Anumzamo'a huno, Nagra tamagrane mani'noe huno huama hu'ne.
Then Haggai, the Lord's messenger, delivered this message from the Lord telling the people, I am with you! says the Lord.
The Lord inspired Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all the remaining people. They came and began work on the house of the Lord Almighty.
15 Ana eri'zama eri agafama hu'nazana, Dariusi'ma kinima manino egeno nampa 2ma hia kafufina 6si ika mofona 24ma hianknazupa eri agafa hu'naze.
This happened on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month in the second year of the reign of king Darius.
