< Ezra 4 >

1 Hanki Judane Benzameni naga'mokizmi ha' vahe'mo'zama antahizama, kinafinti'ma atre'za e'naza vahe'mo'za Ra Anumzana Israeli vahe'mokizmi Anumzamofo mono noma ete eme negize nanekema nentahi'za,
Now, when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard—that, the Sons of the Exile, were building the temple, unto Yahweh, God of Israel,
2 zamagra Zerubabelinte'ene Israeli naga nofite'ma ugagotama hu'naza vahete vu'za amanage hu'naze, Asiria kini ne' Esarhadoni'ma tavreno ama mopafima eme tantegetama mani'nonteti'ma eno meninte'ma eana, tamagrama nehazaza huta tamagri Anumzantera monora hunenteta, Kresramana vunentonanki, tatrenketa tamaza huta mono nona kimaneno.
then drew they near unto Zerubbabel, and unto the ancestral chiefs, and said unto them, Let us build with you, for, like you, we seek your God, and, unto him, have, we, been sacrificing since the days of Esar-haddon, king of Assyria, who brought us up hither.
3 Hianagi Zerubabeli'ene Jeshua'ene Israeli naga nofite'ma ugota hu'naza kva vahe'mo'zanena amanage hu'za zamasami'naze, tagri Ra Anumzamofo mono nona taza huta onkigahaze. Pesia kini ne' Sairusi'ma hurante'nea kante amage anteta, Ra Anumzana Israeli vahe'mota Anumzamofo mono nona tagrake'za kigahune.
But Zerubbabel and Jeshua and the rest of the ancestral chiefs of Israel, said unto them, It pertaineth not to you and to us [in common], to build a house unto our God, —but, we ourselves together, will build unto Yahweh, God of Israel, even as King Cyrus, king of Persia, hath commanded us.
4 Hagi anagema hazage'za ana mopafima ko'ma mani'naza vahe'mo'za, Juda vahera zamarimpa eri haviza hu naneke nehu'za, mono no onkisazegu zamazeri koro hu naneke agafa hu'za hu'naze.
Then came it to pass, that, the people of the land, were weakening the hands of the people of Judah, —and troubling them in building;
and hiring against them counselors, to overturn their purpose, —all the days of Cyrus, king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius, king of Persia.
6 Hagi Ahasuerusi'ma agafa huno kinima mania knafina, ha' vahe'zamimo'za Judama nemaniza vahe'ene Jerusalema nemaniza vahekura mago havige avonkre'za kini ne' Ahasuerusina ami'naze.
And, in the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, wrote they an accusation, against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.
7 Hanki henka Pesia kini ne' Artserksisi'ma kinima mania knafina, Bislamu'ma Mitredati'ma Tabeli'ene, zamagranema magokama eri'zama eneriza naga'enenki hu'za, kini ne' Artserksisina mago avonkremi'naze. Ana avoma kre'nazana Aramu zamagerupi kre'nage'za, hamprima amiza vahe'mo'za, Pesia vahe'mokizmi zamagerupi rekrahe humi'naze.
And, in the days of Artaxerxes, wrote Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel, and the rest of his associates, unto Artaxerxes, king of Persia, —and, the writing of the letter, was written in Aramean, and was to be interpreted as Aramean.
8 Hagi ana mopama ugagota huno kegavama hu'nea gavana ne' Rehumu'ene avoma kre eri'zama eneria ne' Simsaikea Jerusalema nemaniza vahe'ma keagama huzmante avona amanage huke kre atrakeno Pesia kini ne' Artserksisintega vu'ne.
Rehum holder of judicial authority, and Shimshai the scribe, wrote a certain letter against Jerusalem, —to Artaxerxes the king, thus:
9 Nagra gavana kva ne' Rehumu'nane, avoma kre eri'zama eneria ne' Simsai'ene, kema refkohu vahe'ene mago'a kagri eri'za vahe'ma tagranema eri'zama eneriza vahe'ene, Ereki vahe'ma Babiloni mopafima nemaniza vahe'ene, Elamu vahe'ma Susa ran kumate'ma nemaniza vahe'ene,
Then Rehum holder of judicial authority, and Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their associates, —the Dinaites and the Apharsathchites, the Tarpelites, the Apharsites, the Archevites, the Babylonians, the Shushanchites, the Dehaites, the Elamites;
10 ko'ma hanavenentake kini ne' Asurbanipali'ma mago'a vahe'ma zamavareno Sameria ran kumapima eme zamantege'zama nemaniza vahe'ene, Yufretisi timofo kantu kazigama nemaniza vahe'mo'zane, ama avona kre atronkeno kagritega nevie.
and the rest of the peoples, whom the great and noble Osnappar hath exiled, and set in the city of Samaria, —and the rest Beyond the River, and so forth:
11 Hanki anama kremi'naza avona amanage hu'za kremi'naze, Kini ne' Artserksisiga kagri eri'zama eneruna vahe'ma Yufretisi timofo kantu kazigama nemanuna vahe'mota musenkea atrenegantone.
This, is a copy of the letter which they sent unto him—unto Artaxerxes the king, —Thy servants, the men Beyond the River and so forth:
12 Kinimoka amana nanekea antahio, Juda vahe'ma kagri kumatmimpima mani'nareti'ma atre'za aza vahe'mo'za ko'ma Jerusalemi kumapima mani'ne'za kema nontahi'za, havi zmavu'avazama hu'naza vahe'mo'za e'za Jerusalemi ran kumapina nona eme ki'naze. Noma azeri oti'za tra'ama kivagama nere'za, ku'ma kegina hago huvagare'za nehaze.
Be it known unto the king, —that, the Jews who came up from thee unto us, are come to Jerusalem, —the rebellious and wicked city, are they building, and, the walls, have they finished, and, the foundations, will they repair.
13 E'ina hu'negu kinimoka amagea antahio, ama ana vahe'mo'za Jerusalemi ran kuma'ma keginama huvagaresu'za takisi zagoa onkamigahaze. Ana hanageno'a zagoma nentana nompina zagoa omnena zagogura atupa hugahane.
Now be it known to the king, that, if this city, be built, and, the walls thereof, be finished, neither, tribute, excise, nor toll, will they render, and so, the revenue of the kings, shalt thou damage.
14 Kagrama maka zampima tazama nehana zanku tagesa nentahita, vahe'mo'zama kagri'ma kagefenkamima atre'zankura tavenosigeta ana kazigati kinimoka amana nanekea negasamune.
Now, because the salt of the palace we have eaten, the impoverishment of the king, it is not meet for us to see, —therefore have we sent, and certified the king;
15 Kafahe'za ko'ma tro hu'naza zama krente'naza avontafepima kesanana, Jerusalema nemaniza vahe'mo'za kea ontahi vahe mani'neza, kini vahera ha renezmantazage'za, e'i ana zamavuzmava zanku kumazmia eme eri havizantfa hageno vahera omanitfa hu'naza kuma me'ne.
so that search may be made in the book of the records of thy fathers, so shalt thou find out in the book of records—and shalt ascertain, that, this city, is a rebellious city, and one that causeth damage unto kings and provinces, and that, rebellion, have they been wont to cause in the midst thereof since the days of age-past time, —for this cause, was this city laid waste.
16 E'ina hu'negu kinimoka ama'na nanekea negasamune, zamagrama Jerusalemi ran kuma'ma eriso'ema nehu'za, kuma keginama huvagama resnagenka, Yufretisi ran timofo kantu kazigama me'nea kumatmina mago'ene kegava osugahane.
We do certify the king that, if, this city, be built, and, the walls thereof, finished, for that very reason, portion Beyond the River, shalt thou have none.
17 Hanki kinimo'ma ana avoma keteno'a, amanage huno nona'a avona kre atre'ne. Kavana ne' Rehumugane avontafe'ma kre eri'zama eneria ne' Simsaigane Sameriama mani'ne'za eri'zama zamazama nehaza vahe'ene, Yufretisi rantimofo kantu kazigama nemaniza vahera musenke atreramantoe.
The king sent, a message, unto Rehum holder of judicial authority, and Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their associates, who were dwelling in Samaria, and the rest Beyond the River, Peace and so forth.
18 Hanki tamagrama kre atre'naza avona nagri navure hamprite'za rekrahe hazage'na antahi'noe.
The letter which ye sent unto us, was distinctly read before me;
19 Anama hute'na eri'za vahe huge'za, korapa'ma fore'ma hu'nea zama krente'naza avontafepima hake'zama ke'nazana, ko'ma maniza enazaregatira kini vahe'mofo kema ontahino zamagorgama omani zamavu'zmava zamo'a meno e'nea vahe mani'naze. Hankino meninena tamagerfa huno havi vaheke ana kumapina avite'naze.
And, from me, went forth an edict, and they have made search and found, that, this city, since the days of age-past time, against kings, hath lifted herself up, —and, sedition and rebellion, have been made therein;
20 Hanki korapara hankave kini vahe'mo'za Jerusalemi kumara kegava nehu'za, Yufretisi ran timofo kantu kazigama me'nea kumatmina maka kva huzmante'nage'za, ruzante ruzante takisi zagoa zami'naze.
and, mighty kings, have there been over Jerusalem, and bearing rule everywhere Beyond the River, —and, tribute, excise, and toll, have been given to them.
21 E'ina hu'negu ana vahera hanavetita zamasaminke'za Jerusalemi rankuma'ma eri oti'zama negi'za zana atre'za amne mani'nesage'na, nagrake hu izo huge, i'o hu'na anazantera hugahue.
Now, issue ye an edict, to forbid these men, —that, this city, be not built, until, from me, the edict be issued.
22 Hanki tamarga ame huta vutma ome ke hinke'za ana eri'zana e'ori atreho. Na'ankure tamagrama anama osnage'zama, zamagrama ome knare'ma hanageta tagra kegava huzmantegara osugahune.
Beware, then, of failure to do thus, —wherefore should the damage increase, to inflict loss on the kings?
Then, when, the copy of the letter of Artaxerxes the king, had been read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their associates, they journeyed in haste to Jerusalem, unto the Jews, and forbade them, with arm and force.
24 Anante Juda vahe'mo'za Ra Anumzamofo mono noma Jerusalema negiza eri'zana e'ori'za atrageno me'no eno, Pesia kini ne' Dariusi'ma kinima manino egeno nampa 2ma hia kafure ehanati'ne.
Then ceased the work of the house of God, which was in Jerusalem, —yea it did cease, until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.
