On the fifth day of the sixth month [of that year], almost six years after we Israeli people had been (exiled/forced to go to Babylon), I was sitting in my house. The elders of Judah were sitting in front of me. Suddenly the power [MTY] of Yahweh the Lord came on me.
2 Ana hige'na koana vahe amema'agnaza ke'noe. Hagi ana vahe amema'agna zagamofo afafaretima urami'nefina teve anefakna higeno, afafareti'ma mareri anagamuma atre'nea avufgamo'a, ainireti'ma hiaza huno tusi tampretampare huno masanentake hu'ne.
[in a vision] I saw someone who resembled a man. Below his waist, [his body] was like fire, and above his waist [his body] was glowing like very hot metal.
3 Hagi ana vahekna zagamo'a azana rusuteno naseni nazokate nazeritege'na ava'nagnaza kogeno, Avamu'mo'a navresga huno monane mopane amu'nompi vuno, Jerusalemi mono kumapima unefraza kafama noti kazigama avugosama hunte'nerema havi anumzamofo amema'ama tro huntazageno me'neno Anumzamofoma azeri arimpama nehegeno kanivema nerere navareno vu'ne.
He reached out what seemed to be a hand and grabbed me by the hair of my head. The Spirit lifted me up high above the earth, and in visions God took me [from Babylon] to Jerusalem. He took me [to the temple], to the north gate, to the place where there was an idol that caused Yahweh to be very disgusted and furious.
4 Anante'ma vu'nama koana navuga Israeli vahe Anumzamofo himamu masa'a Kebar timofo tavaonte'ma me'nege'nama ke'noankna huno me'nege'na kogeno,
And there in front of me was the brilliant light that indicated the presence of the God whom the Israeli [people previously worshiped. It was] like the vision that I had seen alongside the Kebar River/Canal.
5 Anumzamo'a nagrikura amanage hu'ne, Vahe'mofo mofavremoka noti kaziga kavua ko. Anage hige'na noti kaziga navua kesga hu'na kogeno, noti kazigama kuma kafa tava'onte'ma kresramna vu itama me'nea tava'ontera havi anumzamofo amema'a me'negeno, Anumzamo'ma arimpagu'ma nehuno kanivema nerea havi anumzamofo amema'a me'negena ke'noe.
Yahweh said to me, “You human, look toward the north!” So I looked, and I saw in the entrance of the gate near the altar that idol that caused Yahweh to be disgusted and furious.
6 Anama negogeno'a Anumzamo'a amanage hu'ne, Vahe'mofo mofavremoka, Israeli vahe'mo'zama kasrino hi'mnagema hu'nea avu'ava'ma nehu'za mono noni'afinti'ma afete'ma nahenati netrazana negampi? Hianagi ete mago'ene tusi'a hi'mnage huno kasri avu'ava zana kegahane.
He said to me, “You human, do you see what those Israeli people [MTY] are doing? They are doing detestable things here, things that will cause me to abandon my temple. But you will see things that are even more detestable.”
7 Hagi anantetira mono kumamofo kafante navareno vige'na koana, ana kumamofo have keginafina mago kamo hagro hunege'na ke'noe.
Then he brought me to the entrance of the courtyard. I looked and saw a hole in the wall.
8 Negogeno Anumzamo'a amanage hu'ne, Vahe'mofo mofavremoka, have keginafima hagro hu'negenkama ke'nana kana kafio higena kafina koana mago kafa me'negena ke'noe.
He said to me, “You human, dig through the wall here.” So I dug through the wall, and I saw a doorway inside.
9 Anama negogeno'a Anumzamo'a anage huno nasami'ne, Vunka agu'a ufrenka kasrino hi'mnage'ma hu'nea avu'avazama nehaza zantamina ko!
He said to me, “Go in and see the wicked and detestable things that they are doing there!”
10 Hige'na anampinkama ufre'na koana, ana nomofo agu'afina rugaraga asoparega ruzahu ruzahu zagama zamasaguregati'ma regrarohe'zama vanoma nehaza zagaramimofo amema'ane, agru osu zagaramimofo amema'aramine, Israeli vahe'moma kaza osu havi anumzama mono'ma hu'nentaza anumzantmimofo amema'aramine tro hunte'za evu'nazage'na ke'noe.
So I went in through the doorway and looked, and I saw, all over the [of a big room, drawings of] all kinds of creatures that scurry across the ground and [other] detestable animals, and drawings of all the idols that the people of [were worshiping].
11 Hagi ana zamofo zamavuga Israeli ranra vahera 70'a otizageno, Safani nemofo Zasania'a amunoznifina oti'nege'na ke'noe. Hagi ana 70'a vahe'mo'za, mananentake'za negraza zuompa zamazampi eritere hu'za oti'nageno tevegumo'a zamasenirega marenerige'na ke'noe.
In front of them stood 70 elders of Israel. Jaazaniah, the son of Shaphan, was standing among them. Each of them was holding a pan in which incense was burning, and fragrant smoke of the burning incense was rising up.
12 Hagi anante Anumzamo'a amanage huno nasami'ne, Vahe'mofo mofavremoka, mago mago Israeli ranra vahe'mo'za'ma hanimpima keonke zagaramimofo amema'ama tro'ma hunte'nazafinkama nehaza avu'ava zana negano? Na'ankure zamagra hu'za Ra Anumzamo'a ama mopa amagena humi'neankino nontage hu'za nehaze!
Yahweh said to me, “You human, look at [RHQ] what the Israeli elders are doing here in the darkness, each of them standing in front of the shrine of his own idol! They are saying, ‘Yahweh does not see us; Yahweh has deserted this country.’”
13 Anage nehuno amanage huno nasmi'ne, Menina mago'ane tusiza huno kasrino havizanfta hu'nea avu'ava nehanagenka zamagegahane.
He also said, “But you will see things that are even more detestable!”
14 Anage nehuno navareno Ra Anumzamofo mono nomofona noti kaziga kafante vige'na, koana anampinka a'neramimo'za Tamusi havi anumzankura tusi zavi netazage'na ke'noe.
Then he took me to the entrance at the north gate of the temple. I saw women sitting there, mourning for [the death of the god of the people of Babylonia], Tammuz.
15 Anama negogeno'a Anumzamo'a amanage huno nasami'ne, Vahe'mofo mofavremoka, ama zana negano? Hianagi menina mago'ane kasrino havizanfta hu'nea avu'ava zana kaveri hugahue.
He said to me, “You human, you see this [RHQ], but you will see things that are more detestable than this!”
16 Anage nehuno navareno Ra Anumzamofo nomofona agu'afinka ufrege'nama koana, Ra Anumzamofo mono nomofo kafantera ko noma kinte'naza nomofone, kresramnama vu itamofo amu'nompina 25'a venenemo'za ana mono nona zamefi humiza zage hanati kaziga zamavugosa huntene'za kepri hu'za zagemofonte monora hunentazage'na ke'noe.
Then he took me into the courtyard outside the temple. There at the entrance of the temple, between the porch and the altar, were about 25 men. Their backs were toward the temple and their faces were toward the east, and they were bowing down to [worship] the sun [as it rose] in the east.
17 Anama negogeno'a Anumzamo'a huno, Vahe'mofo mofavremoka negano? Juda vahe'mo'za kasrino haviza hu'nea kefo avu'ava'ma nehazana, kagrama antahinana osi'za nehazafi? Hagi zamagra ana nehu'za ama mopafi vahe'ma ha'ma omerente emerente nehu'za, ohefri ahefri hu avu'avaza hu'za ama mopa eri antevite'za nazeri narimpa ahe'za nehazo? Ko, zamagra kefo avu'ava'ma nehaza zamo'a, Nagrira antahionami'za zafa azankuna hantagi'za zamagonare antazankna nehaze.
He said to me, “You human, you see [RHQ] what they are doing. [Do you think that] it is not important that these men of Judah are doing these detestable things here? [But they are doing other terrible things]. They are acting violently throughout their country, and continually causing me to be angry. Look at them! They are insulting me by their actions [IDM]!
18 E'ina hu'negu tusi narimpa ahezmante'na zamazeri haviza hugahue. Hagi nasunkura huzmante'na magomofona otregahue. Antahina zamazama hanuegu'ma ranke hu'za kezankea hugahazanagi, kezankezmia ontahigahue.
So I will show them that I am very angry. I will not pity them or act mercifully toward them. And even if they shout to me [to help them], I will not pay attention to them.”
