1 Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno nasami'ne,

Yahweh gave me another message. He said,

2 Vahe'mofo mofavre Izikieliga, sipisipi afute kva vahe'mo'zama nehazaza hu'za, Israeli vahe'ma kegavama hune zamantaza kva vahera amanage hunka knazama erisaza kasnampa kea zamasamio, Ra Anumzana Agra Anumzamo'a amanage hie, Israeli mopafima mani'naza sipisipi afute kva vahe'mota tamagrama nenaza zankuke nentahita sipisipi afutamina ne'zana nozamize.

“You human, prophesy about [leaders] of Israel. [They should be taking care of my people like] [MET] shepherds [take care of their sheep]. Say to them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: Terrible things will happen to you leaders [MET] of Israel who only take care of yourselves! You should certainly [RHQ] take care of [your people like] [MET] a shepherd takes care of his flock of sheep!

3 Tamagra sipisipi afutamina aheta afova'a neneta, azoka'aretira kukena trohuta nentanita, afovagema hia sipisipia ahegita nenazanagi, ana sipisipi afutamina kegava huso'e nehuta ne'zana nozamize.

[It is as though] you eat the curds, you slaughter the very good animals and wear clothes made from their wool. But you do not take care of the flock.

4 Hagi hankave'zmima omane sipisipia zamazeri hankavea notita, krima eri'naza sipisipine namuma zamare'nea sipisipi nagara zamazeri nonkanamareta, zamagia zamazama rehantagi'naza sipisipia anakinozmanteta, hazamagrene'za kankuma nehakaza sipisipia haketa zamavareta nomaze. Hianagi tamagra hankavetita zamazeri haviza nehuta, kegava hunozmantaze.

You have not enabled those who are weak to become strong. You have not healed those who were sick. You have not bandaged those who were wounded/injured. You have not brought back those who went astray. You have not searched for those who became lost. You have ruled your people harshly and cruelly.

5 E'ina hazage'za Nagri sipisipi naga'mo'za panani hu'za ufre efre hu'za hazagrazage'za, maka afi zagagafamo'za eme zamahe'za ne'naze. Na'ankure sipisipi kva vahera omani'nagu anara hu'naze.

So they were scattered, because you did not [take care of them like] [MET] a shepherd [takes care of his sheep]. And when they were scattered, [it was as though] wild animals attacked and [killed them and ate] their flesh.

6 E'ina hazage'za Nagri sipisipi afu nagamoza hazagre'za maka agonaramimpine, maka zaza agonaramimpina vano nehaze. Ana hu'za maka ama mopafina hazagre'za vano nehazageno, mago vahe'mo'e huno ana sipisipiraminkura hakege, avua ante'nora kegera osu'ne.

My people wandered like sheep all over the high hills and mountains. They were scattered all over the earth, and no one searched for them [DOU].

7 E'ina hu'negu tamagra sipisipi kva vahe'mota Ra Anumzamofo nanekea antahio.

Therefore, you [who should be acting like] shepherds, listen to what I, Yahweh the Lord say:

8 Hagi Nagra Ra Anumzana kasefa hu'na mani'noa Anumzamo'na huanki, Nagri sipisipi afute kva vahera mani'nazanagi zamatrage'za afi zagamo'za zamahe'za nenage'za hake'za ozamavare'naze. Hianagi sipisipi kva vahe'mo'za zamagraguke antahi'za zamagra'a ne'zana ne'zamu nehu'za, sipisipini'aramina ne'zana ozami'naze.

As surely as I am alive, my people [are like a flock of sheep that has] no shepherd, and as a result [it is as though] wild animals have attacked my people and eaten them. You did not search for them; instead, you only wanted to provide food for yourselves.

9 E'ina hu'negu sipisipi kva vahe'mota Ra Anumzamofo nanekea antahiho.

Therefore, you [who should be like] [MET] shepherds, listen to what I, Yahweh say:

10 Hagi Ra Anumzana Agra Anumzamo'a amanage hie, Antahiho, Nagra hara huzmante'na sipisipi kva vahetamimofo zamazampintira sipisipi afu'niaramina zamavrenuge'za sipisipi afutamina ne'zana ozamigahaze. Ana hanuge'za ko'ma nehazaza hu'za sipisipi kva vahe'mo'za zamahe'za onegahaze. Sipisipi afu'niaramina sipisipi kva vahetamimofo zamagipintira zamahe'na zamazeri varinuge'za zamahe'za onegahaze.

I am opposed to [you leaders who should be like] [MET] shepherds for my people. I will remove you from taking care of my people, with the result that you will no longer feed yourselves [instead of feeding them]. I will rescue my people from you, with the result that you will longer be able to [butcher them and] eat them.

11 Na'ankure Ra Anumzana Agra Anumzamo'a amanage hie, Antahiho, Nagra sipisipi afu'niagura hakre'na zamazeri fore nehu'na kegava huzmantegahue.

This is what I, Yahweh the Lord, say to you leaders: I myself will search for my sheep and take care of them.

12 Hagi panini'ma hu'za ufre efrema hu'naza sipisipi afutaminku'ma sipisipi kva vahe'mo'ma hakeankna hu'na sipisipi afu'nagania hakena hampo komatuno tusi hanima hige'zama hazagre'za ufre efrema hu'naza sipisipi nagara maka kazigatira zamagu'vazina zamavare atru hu'na kegava huzmantegahue.

Like a shepherd finds his scattered sheep, I will rescue my people from all the places to which they have been scattered, at a time when things were very gloomy and they experienced disasters.

13 Hagi ru vahe mopafine kumatmimpinema umani emanima hu'naregatira zamavare atru hanuge'za, zamagra'a mopafi emeri atru hugahaze. E'ina hutena Israeli agonaramimpine, tinkrahopine, vahe'ma omani kumatamipine, mani'nesagena ne'zana zamigahue.

I will bring them back from many countries and gather them together again in their own land. [Because my people are like sheep] [MET], [it is as though] I will enable them to find good pastureland on the hills of Israel, and in the ravines, and in the villages of Israel.

14 Hagi Israeli mopafima knare trazama me'nea agonaramimpi zamante'nuge'za ana agonaramimpi masene'za ana tra'zana negahaze.

[It is as though] I will allow them to graze in good pastures on the mountaintops. They will lie down in good (grazing areas/grassy fields) there [DOU].

15 Hagi Nagra sipisipi afuni'aramina kegava nehu'na, knare tra'zama me'nenifi zamavare'na vano nehanena tra'zana nene'za masegahaze huno Ra Anumzana Agra Anumzamo'a hu'ne.

I myself will take care of my people and enable them to lie down and rest.

16 Fananema hu'naza sipisipi afutamina hakena nezamavare'na, hazama gre'naza sipisipi afutamina zamavare'na ne-ena, zamagia zamazama rehantagi'naza sipisipi afu'tamina anakinezmante'na, krima eri'naza sipisipi afutamina zamazeri kanamregahue. Hianagi afovage'ma hu'za hankavemati'naza sipisipi afu'tamina, zamazeri haviza nehu'na fatgo hu'na refko huzmantegahue.

I will search for those who are lost and bring back the ones who have strayed away. I will bandage those who have been injured and strengthen those who are weak. But I will get rid of those who are fat and powerful. I will act fairly toward [the people who are like] [MET] my sheep. That is what I, Yahweh, promise.

17 Hagi tamagra Nagri sipisipi afu'motagura Ra Anumzana Nagra Anumzamo'na amanage hue, Nagra mago mago sipisipi afumota tamente tamente keaga refko hutere nehu'na, ve sipisipi afutamine, ve meme afutamimofo keaga refko hutere hugahue.

And as for you who are like [MET] my sheep, this is what I, Yahweh the Lord, say: I will judge between each of you; and I will separate [those that are peaceful like] sheep from [those that are always trying to dominate others like] goats.

18 Hagi mago'amota rama'a knare tra'zama nazageno tamu'ma higeta, amnema mea tra'zama tamagianuma reprimapri huta rehaviza hunetreta, avusesema hu'nea tima nazageno tamu'ma higeta, ana timpi vano huta regamuma nehazana e'i knarera osu'ne.

It is bad that [RHQ] some of you keep the best pastures for yourselves. It is even worse that [RHQ] you trample the good grass with your feet. You yourselves drink the clear water [RHQ]. But with your feet you cause the other water to become muddy [RHQ].

19 Hagi Nagri sipisipi afutamimo'za, tamagiareti'ma repripro'ma hutraza traza nene'za, regamuma haza ti nenazana e'i knare nehifi?

[It is as though] you [RHQ] are forcing my flock to eat the grass that you have trampled and to drink the water that you have caused to become muddy!

20 E'ina hu'negu Ra Anumzana Agra Anumzamo'a amanage huno zamagrikura hie, Keho, Nagrani'a afovage'ma hu'nea sipisipine, asozage'ma hu'nea sipisipinena refko huznantegahue.

Therefore, this is what I, Yahweh the Lord, say to you: I myself will judge between [those of you who are like] [MET] the fat sheep and [those of you who are like] the thin sheep.

21 Hagi tamagra afovagema hu'naza sipisipimota, hankavezmima omne sipisipiramina tamaseninuti'ene tamazonanu'ene ome zamaretufe eme zamaretufe nehuta, pazive ome zamare eme zamare hazage'za, hazagre'za ru kumatega ufre efre hu'naze.

[who are like] strong sheep, [it is as though] with your shoulders and buttocks you have shoved away [those who are like] thin sheep, and you have butted them with your horns, until you have chased them all away [from the good pastureland].

22 Hagi Nagra sipisipi afu nagani'a zamagu vazi'nuge'za, ru'enena zamazeri havizana osugahaze. Ana nehu'na knare sipisipine, havi sipisipinena refko huznantegahue.

But I will rescue my people, and they no longer will be (harassed/treated cruelly). I will judge between one person and another.

23 Ana nehu'na magoke sipisipi afu kva ne' Devitina Nagri eri'za ne' azeri otisugeno mani'neno ne'zana nezamino kegava huzmantegahie.

And I will appoint one leader [MET] for them, [someone who will be like] King David, who served me [very well]. That leader will take care of them and be like their shepherd.

24 Nagra Ra Anumzamo'na Anumzazmia manisugeno, eri'za ne'ni'a Deviti ugagota kvazmia manigahie. Nagra Ra Anumzamo'na ama nanekea hue.

I, Yahweh, will be their God, and [the one who is like] [MET] King David will be their king. [That will surely happen because] I, Yahweh, have said it.

25 Hagi Nagra mani fruma hu'za manisaza huhagerafi huvempagea zamagranena huhagenerafina, afi zagaramina ama mopafintira zmahenati atranena, ka'ma kopine zafafinena koro osu mase'za vanoma nehanageno, afi zagamo'za ozmamprigahaze.

I will make a peace agreement with the people of Israel. In this agreement I will promise to get rid of all the wild animals in Israel, in order that my people may live safely, even in the desert and in the forests.

26 Hagi zamagri'ene agonanimofoma megagi'nea kumataminena asomu huzmantegahue. Ana nehu'na ata ko'ma ahe knarera mopazmifina ata kora atresugeno asomu ata kora runtegahie.

I will bless them, and I will bless the places close to my sacred hill. I will bless them by sending them rain showers at the right season; they will be showers to bless them.

27 Hagi ana'ma hanugeno'a zafamo'za raga neresageno, hozafina nezamo'a amponerenige'za knare hu'za mopazmifina manigahaze. Hagi karenamare zafama hiaza hu'za, knama eneri'za zana erinetre'na kinama huzmante'naza vahe'mokizmi zamazampinti'ma kazufezmante'na zamagu'ma vazinuge'za, Nagrikura Ra Anumza mani'ne huza ke'za antahiza hugahaze.

The fruit trees will produce fruit and the ground will produce crops. And my people will live safely in their land. When I rescue them from people who caused them to be slaves [MET, DOU], they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].

28 Hagi ete ru'enena ha' vahe'mo'za eza rohura eme nozamisage'za, afi zagagafamo'zanena zamahe'za negera osugahaze. Zamagra knare hu'za zamagu vazi'za manisage'za mago'a vahe'mo'za eme zamazeri korora osugahaze.

[Soldiers from] other nations will no longer take away their valuable possessions, and wild animals will no longer attack them. They will live safely, and no one will cause them to be afraid.

29 Ana nehu'na hozama antesaza mopazmia eri kasefa hu'na eri masave hanuge'za, ru'enena zamagakura nosanage'za, ru vahe'mo'zanena eme huhavizana huozmantegahaze.

I will cause their land to be famous/well-known for its good crops. There will no longer be famines in the land, and people in other nations will no longer ridicule them.

30 E'ina hanuge'za Nagrikura Ra Anumzana tagri Anumzamo tagrane mani'ne hu'za nehu'za, Israeli vahera Anumzamofo vahe mani'none huza nehu'za Nagrira nage'za antahiza hugahaze huno Ra Anumzana Agra Anumzamo'a hu'ne.

Then they will know that I, Yahweh their God, am helping them, and they will know that they, the Israeli people, are my people.

31 Hagi tamagra Nagri sipisipi afu nagakita, Nagri keginafi mani'naze. Ana hu'nazankita tamagra Nagri vahe manizage'na Nagra tamagri Anumza mani'noe huno Ra Anumzana Agra Anumzamo'a hu'ne.

[It will be as though] [MET] my people are my sheep whom I will take care of, and I will be their God. That is what I, Yahweh the Lord, declare.’”
