< Tiuteronomi Kasege 1 >
1 Ama avontafepi nanekea Mosese'a maka Israeli vahema Jodani timofo kantu zage hanati kaziga ka'ma kopi Jodani agupofi Sufu kuma tavaonte, Parani kumaki, Tofeli kumaki, Labani kumaki, Hazeroti kuma'ene Disahap kumatamimofo amu'nompi seli nozamia ome ki'za mani'nazageno zmasami'nea naneke.
These, are the words, which Moses spake unto all Israel, over the Jordan, —in the wilderness in the waste plain over against Suph, between Paran and Tophel, and Laban and Hazeroth and Di-zahab:
2 Hagi Horepi agonareti'ma Kades-Barnea vunaku Seili agonama me'nea kante'ma vananana, 11ni'a zagegna vugahane.
eleven days from Horeb, by way of Mount Seir, as far as Kadesh-barnea.
3 Hianagi Israeli vahe'mo'zama Isipi mopama atre'zama vu'nazareti'ma, e'nea kna'a 40'a kafu manizageno, 11ni ikamofona ese knarera Ra Anumzamo'ma Israeli vahe'ma zamasamioma huno Mosesema asami'nea kante anteno, ana nanekea zamasami'ne.
And it came to pass, in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first of the month, that Moses spake unto the sons of Israel, according to all that Yahweh had given him in charge for them;
4 E'i ana nanekea Hesboni kumate mani'neno, Amori mopama kegava hu'nea kini ne' Sihonine, Astarot kumate'ene, Edrei kumate'ma mani'neno Basani mopama kegavama hu'nea kini ne' Ogine hara huznagatereteno zamasami'nea naneke.
after he had smitten Sihon, king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, —and Og, king of Bashan, who dwelt in Ashtaroth, in Edrei:
5 Joda timofona zage hanati kaziga, Moapu mopafima Israeli vahe'ma mani'nazageno'a Mosese'a Ra Anumzamo'ma asami'nea nanekea amanage huno eriama huno zamasami'ne.
over the Jordan, in the land of Moab, did Moses take in hand to expound this law, saying: —
6 Horepi agonafima mani'nonkeno'a Ra Anumzana Anumzantimo'a amanage hu'ne. Hago za'za kna ama agonafina manize.
Yahweh our God, spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Long enough, have ye dwelt in this mountain:
7 Kama vanazana rukrahe huta Amori vahe'mofo agonage kokampine, tavaozmire'ma nemaniza vahe'mofo mopama, Araba agona mopafine, agupo mopafine, Negevi mopafine, hagerinkena mopafine, Keneni vahe mopafine, Lebanoni vahe mopafine, Yufretisi rantima me'neregane vugahaze.
Turn ye and set yourselves forward, and enter into the hill country of the Amorites, and into all the places near, in the plain, in the mountain, and in the lowland, and in the south, and in the coast of the sea, —the land of Canaan and the Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.
See! I have set before you the land, —enter and possess the land, which, Yahweh sware unto your fathers to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give unto them, and unto their seed, after them.
9 Ana knazupa nagra amanage hu'na tamasami'noe. Rama'a vahe mani'nazanki'na nagrake knatamia eri'na tamavre'na vugara osu'noe.
So I spake unto you, at that time saying, I am unable, by myself, to carry you.
10 Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamo'a menina tamazeri rama'a higeta, monafi hanafikna huta tusi vahekrefa fore huta mani'naze.
Yahweh your God hath multiplied you, and here ye are to-day, like the stars of the heavens for multitude.
11 Hagi Ra Anumzana tamafahe'i Anumzamo'a huvempama hu'nea kante tauseni'a zupa agatereno tamazeri rama'a nehuno, asomura huramantesie.
Yahweh, the God of your fathers, be adding unto you the like of you, a thousand times, —and bless you, as he hath spoken unto you!
12 Hanki inankna hu'na nagrakera tamagri knazana e'neri'na, ha' frama hanaza zana tamazeri fatgo hugahue?
How should I carry by myself the fatigue of you and the burden of you and your controversies?
Set forth for you—men wise and discerning, and known to your tribes, —that I may appoint them to be heads over you.
14 Hagi tamagra amanage huta ana ke'nirera nasami'naze, kagrama hana antahintahimo'a knare hu'ne huta hu'naze.
And ye answered me, —and said, Good, is the word which thou hast spoken to be done.
15 Anagema hazage'na knare antahintahine vahe'ma zamagesgama nehaza vahera mago'a zamavare'na tauseni'a vahete kva vahe huhampri nezamante'na, mago'a handreti'a vahete kva vahe huhampri nezamante'na, mago'a 50'a vahete kva vahe huhampri nezamante'na, mago'a 10ni'a vahete kva vahe huhampri nezamante'na, magoke magoke naga nofipi kva vahetami, huhampri zmantetere hu'noe.
So I took heads for your tribes wise men and known, and placed them as heads over you, captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, and captains of fifties and captains of tens, and overseers for your tribes.
16 Anagema hute'na amanage hu'na ana kva vahetmina zamasami'noe, tamagra keagama refko'ma hanazana, tamagra'a vahetmimofo kegaga refko nehuta, ru vahe'ma tamagranema enemaniza vahe'mofo kegaga refko hugahazanki, fatgo huta kegaga refko hiho.
And I charged your judges, at that time, saying, —Ye are to hear between your brethren and shall judge righteously, between each man and his brother and his sojourner.
17 Hagi kegagama refkoma hanafina, magomofo kazigagera onteho. Agi me'nea vahero, agi omane vahera mago'zanke hutma refkoa hugahaze. Mago vahekura korera osiho, na'ankure fatgoma huno refkoma hu'zana Anumzamofo avu'ava me'ne. Hagi amuhoma huramantenia kegaga nagrite erita e'nage'na nagra refkoa hugahue.
Ye shall not take note of faces in judgment—so the small as the great, shall ye hear, ye shall not shrink from the face of any man, for judgment, unto God, belongeth, —but the thing which is too hard for you, shall ye bring near unto me, and I will hear it.
So I commanded you at that time all the things which ye should do.
19 Hagi anama huteta Horepia atreta Ra Anumzamo'ma hu'nea kante anteta, Amori vahe agona kokampine, tusi'a hagage ka'ma kokampi Kades Banea ehanati'none.
And when we brake up from Horeb, we came through all that great and terrible desert which ye saw, by way of the hill-country of the Amorites, as Yahweh our God commanded us, —and we entered in as far as Kadesh-barnea.
20 Hagi nagra amanage hu'na tamasami'noe, Amori vahe agona mopama Ra Anumzana tagri Anumzamo'ma tamigahuema hu'nea mopafi ehanatize hu'na tamasami'noe.
Then said I unto you, —Ye are come in as far as the hill-country of the Amorites, which Yahweh our God, is giving unto us.
21 Keho! Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamo mopa tami'ne. Hagi korera osuta Ra Anumzana tamafahe'i Anumzamo'ma zamasami'nea kante anteta mopa omerita maniho.
See thou—Yahweh thy God hath set before thee the land, —go up—take possession as Yahweh the God of thy fathers hath spoken unto thee, do not fear, neither be dismayed.
22 Anante miko vahe'mota nagrite eta amanage hu'naze, mago'a vahe huzmantesunke'za vu'za ana mopa ome nege'za, inankante vuta, ina kuma kora omerigahune ome kete'za eme tasamiho huta hu'naze.
And ye came near unto me all of you, and said Let us send men before us, that they may search out for us the land, —and bring us back word, the way by which we must go up, and the cities whereinto we must enter,
23 E'i ana ketamima antahuana knare hige'na, mago mago naga nofipinti mago vahe avaretere hugeno, ana mika 12fu'a hazage'na,
And the thing, was good in mine eyes, —so I took from among you twelve men, one man for each tribe.
24 ana vahera huzmantoge'za agona kokantegati agafa hu'za mopa afure'za vu'za, Eskoli agupofi uhanati'naze.
And they turned and went up the hill-country, and entered in as far as the ravine of Eshcol, and explored it.
25 Hagi ana mopafintira mago'a zafa raga tagiza e'za amanage hu'za eme tasami'naze, Ra Anumzana tagri Anumzamo knare mopa neramie hu'naze.
And they took in their hand of the fruit of the country, and bare it down unto us, and brought us back word, and said, Good is the land, which Yahweh our God, is giving unto us.
26 Hianagi Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamo'ma hurmantea kea rutagreta, ana mopafina ovu'naze.
Nevertheless ye were not willing to go up, —but rebelled against the bidding of Yahweh, your God;
27 Tamagra seli nontmifi mani'neta ke hakare huta amanage hu'naze, Ra Anumzamo'a avesra huranteno, Amori vahe'mofo zamazampi tatresige'za, tazeri haviza hanazegu Isipi mopafintira tavreno atiramino e'ne huta hu'naze.
and murmured in your tents and said, Because Yahweh hated us, hath he brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, —to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.
28 Tagra iga vugahune?
Whither, are, we, to go up? Our own brethren, have made our heart melt saying—A people greater and taller than we, cities large and walled-up into the heavens, —yea, moreover sons of Anakim, have we seen there.
29 Anante nagra amanage hu'na tamasami'noe, ana vahekura antri huta korera osiho.
Then I said unto you, —Ye must not tremble, nor be afraid of them:
30 Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamo'ma tamavugama nevia Anumzamo'a, Isipima mani'neta negazageno ha'ma huno tamavareno'ma e'neaza huno tamagritega anteno hara hugahie.
Yahweh your God, who is going before you, he, will fight for you, —according to all that he did with you in Egypt, before your eyes;
31 Hagi Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamo'ma ka'ma kokampima, mago ne'mo mofavrea avresga huno eankna huno tamavareno eno, ama kumate'ma ehanati'neana hago ke'naze.
also in the desert which thou hast seen, where Yahweh thy God carried thee as a man will carry his son, throughout all the way that ye journeyed, until ye entered as far as, this place.
32 Hianagi anama hu'nea zankura tamagra Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzana antahimita tamentintia hunonteta,
But in this thing, ye were putting no trust in Yahweh your God;
33 vugota huno hanimpima tevefi manino tamavreno nevuno, masafina hampompi manino tamavreno nevuno, seli noma kisaza kumara tamaveri nehuno, kama vanaza kana tamaveri huno vu'nea Ra Anumzana tamefi hunemize.
who was going before you in the way—to search out for you a place, where ye might encamp, —in the fire by night, that ye might get sight of the way wherein ye should go, and in the cloud, by day.
34 Hagi ke hakarema hu'naza kea Ra Anumzamo'a nentahino, tusi rimpahegeno amanage huno huvempa kea hu'ne.
And Yahweh heard the voice of your words, —and was wroth and sware—saying:
35 Amama mani'naza vahe'motagura Ra Anumzamo'a huno, Maka kefo tamavutmava'ene vahekitma, knare mopama tamagehe'mofoma zamigahue hu'nama huhaprizamante'noa mopafina, ovutfa hugahaze.
Surely, not one of these men, this wicked generation, —shall see the good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers:
36 Hagi Jefune nemofo Kalepike'za ana mopa ome kegahie. Agrama ome keteno'ma e'nea mopa agri'ene mofavre naga'amokizmi zamigahue.
saving Caleb son of Jephunneh, he, shall see it, and unto him, will I give the land through which he hath trodden, and unto his sons, —because he hath wholly followed Yahweh.
37 Hagi tamagrama haza avu'avazante Ra Anumzamo'a nagri'enena rimpa ahenanteno amanage huno nasami'ne, kagranena ana mopafina uofregahane hu'ne.
Even with me, did Yahweh show himself angry, for your sakes, saying, —Even thou, shalt not enter therein.
38 Hagi Nuni nemofo Josua'ma kazama huno eri'zama e'neria ne'mo, ana mopafina ufregahie. Hanki antahintahia aminka azeri hanavetio, na'ankure agra Israeli vahera zamavareno ufrenige'za, ana mopa omerigahaze.
Joshua son of Nun, who standeth before thee, he, shall enter in thither, him, strengthen thou, for he, shall cause Israel to inherit it.
And your little ones, of whom ye said they should become, a prey, and your sons who to-day know not good and evil, they, shall enter in thither, —and unto them, will I give it, and they, shall possess it.
40 Hianagi tamagra rukrahe huta ka'ma mopafi koranke hagerima me'nea kantega vu'naze.
But as for you, turn ye, for your part, —and set forward towards the desert, by way of the Red Sea.
41 Anante tamagra amanage huta kenona hu'naze, tagra Ra Anumzamofontera kumi hu'nonanagi, Ra Anumzana tagri Anumzamo'ma hu'nea kante anteta hara ome hugahune. Anagema nehuta ha' zantamina retro huta fru hu'neankita amane hara ome huta agona mopa omerigahune huta hu'naze.
Then responded ye and said unto me—We have sinned against Yahweh, We, ourselves, will go up, and fight, according to all that Yahweh our God hath commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye foolishly went up towards the hill-country.
Then said Yahweh unto me—Say unto them Ye shall not go up, nor fight, for I am not in your midst, —lest ye should be smitten before your enemies.
43 Hianagi kea ontahita tamagra Ra Anumzamofo kea eri atreta tamagra tamavesi avaririta ha' ome hunaku agonage kokampina mareri'naze.
So I spake unto you howbeit ye hearkened not, —but rebelled against the bidding of Yahweh, and presumptuously went up the hill-country.
Then came forth the Amorites who were dwelling in that country, to meet you, and they chased you, as do, bees; and struck you down in Seir, as far as Hormah.
45 Anama hazageta ete etma Ra Anumzamofo avuga zavira eme ate'nazanagi, Ra Anumzamo'a ana zavi krafa tamia antahi ontami'ne.
So then ye returned and wept before Yahweh, —but Yahweh hearkened not unto your voice, nor gave ear unto you.
46 E'ina higeta Kades Banea kumate zazakna mani'naze.
And ye abode in Kadesh many days, —how many were the days that ye abode [there]!
