In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it.
2 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'a Nebukatnesa azampi Juda kini ne' Jehoiakimina avrentegeno azenerino, Anumzamofo ra mono nompima eri'zama eneriza zantaminena eri'ne. Ana huteno erino Babiloni vuno, havi anumza'amofo mono nompima fenozama nentazafi omente'ne.
The Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with some of the vessels of the house of God; and he carried them into the land of Shinar to the house of his god. He brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.
3 Ana huteno kini ne' Nebukatnesa'a, agri nompima eri'zama eneriza vahete'ma ugotama huno kegavama hu'nea ne' Aspenasina hunteno, Israeli kini ne'mofo nagapinti'ene Juda kva vahe'mokizmi nagapintira,
The king spoke to Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring in some of the children of Israel, even of the royal offspring and of the nobles:
4 vunka kasefa vahe'ma zamafuhe zamafahe'ma osu'nesiane, hiranto zamavugosa huzmante'nesiane knare antahi'zampima avite'nesazane, maka antahintahi'zama rempi hu'za antahi'zantema knare hu'nesazane, maka nanekema ame hu'za antahiama'ma nehu'za, kini ne'mofo nompima eri'zama eri antahi'zama ani'ma hu'nesnaza nahezaverami, ome zamavarenka enka Babiloni vahe'mokizmi zamagerura rempi hunezaminka, avoma kreno hampri'zana rempi huzamio huno hunte'ne.
youths in whom was no defect, but well-favored, skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding science, and who had the ability to stand in the king’s palace; and that he should teach them the learning and the language of the Kasdim.
The king appointed for them a daily portion of the king’s delicacies and of the wine which he drank, and that they should be nourished three years, that at its end they should stand before the king.
Now among these of the children of Judah were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.
7 Hanki ugota kva ne' Aspenesa'a ana nagara ru zamagima ante zami'neana amanahu hu'ne. Danielinkura Belsasa'e nehuno, Hananiankura Setraki'e nehuno, Misaelinkura Misaki'e nehuno, Azariankura Abetnego'e huno zamagia antezami'ne.
The prince of the eunuchs gave names to them: to Daniel he gave the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank. Therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
9 Hanki anante Anumzamo'a Aspenasi agu'afina asunku'za antentegeno, Danielina asunku hunenteno aza hunaku hu'ne.
Now God made Daniel find kindness and compassion in the sight of the prince of the eunuchs.
10 Hianagi Aspenasi'a amanage huno Danielina asami'ne. Nagra kini nekura koro nehue. Ana hu'neankino tamagri tamavufgamo'a hariri huno, mago'a tamagranema e'naza nehazavemokizmi zamavufaga gna'ma osanigeno'a, kini ne'mo'a nananke rukafrigahie.
The prince of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and your drink. For why should he see your faces worse looking than the youths who are of your own age? Then you would endanger my head with the king.”
Then Daniel said to the steward whom the prince of the eunuchs had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:
12 Muse hugantoanki eri'za vahekamota avame antenka, 10ni'a knamofo agu'afina, hozafi ne'zane, kasefa tine tamigeta namneno.
“Test your servants, I beg you, ten days; and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink.
13 Hagi 10ni'a knama evutesigenka, kini ne'mofo nompinti'ma ne'zama nenaza nehazavemokizmi zamavufaga negenka, tagri tavufga negenka hutenka, henka nazano kagri eri'za vahe'motama hurante'naku'ma hanana zana amne hugahane.
Then let our faces be examined before you, and the face of the youths who eat of the king’s delicacies; and as you see, deal with your servants.”
14 Higeno anama kegavama huzmante'nea ne'mo'a anagema haza nanekerera mago arimpa nehuno, 10ni'a knafi avamera anteno zamage'ne.
So he listened to them in this matter, and tested them for ten days.
15 Hagi 10ni'a knama evutegeno'a, kegavama huzmante'nea ne'mo'a zamageana, Danieline 3'a nagamokizmi zamavufagamo'a masavenke huno knare zantfa nehuno, kini ne'mofo nompinti'ma ne'zama nenaza nehazaveramina zamagatere'ne.
At the end of ten days, their faces appeared fairer and they were fatter in flesh than all the youths who ate of the king’s delicacies.
16 Ana higeno kegavama huzmante'nea ne'mo'a, knare'nare ne'zane waini tinema zamio huno'ma kini ne'mo'ma hu'neana netreno, hozafi ne'zane kasefa tine zamino vu'ne.
So the steward took away their delicacies and the wine that they were given to drink, and gave them vegetables.
17 Hanki Danieline ana 3'a nehazave nagara Anumzamo'a antahintahi'zane ama' antahi'zanena zamige'za, avontafepima ruzahu ruzahu nanekema krente'nazana rempi huvagare'za ana maka antahi'naze. Ana nehazageno ruzahu ruzahu avanagna zane, ava'namofo agafa'a eriama hu antahi'zana Anumzamo'a Danielina ami'ne.
Now as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
At the end of the days which the king had appointed for bringing them in, the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
The king talked with them; and among them all was found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore stood they before the king.
20 Kini ne'mo'ma ana 4'a nehazaveramima, knare antahintahine, ama' antahi'zanku'ma zamantahigeno'ma keana, maka Babiloni mopafima antahi'zane vahe'ene, kagu'vazama erifore'ma nehaza vahe'ene, zagoma neraza vahe'ene kini ne'mofoma antahi'zama nemiza vahera razampi ruzmagatere'naze.
In every matter of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters who were in all his realm.
21 Hagi Danieli'a ana eri'zama'a erino nevigeno vuno, Sairusi'ma erigafa huno Babiloni kinima mania kafure uhanati'ne.
Daniel continued even to the first year of King Cyrus.
