1 Hagi asunku zagame hugahuanki, Israeli vahe'mota antahiho,

Hear ye this word which I take up against you, as a lamentation, O house of Israel.

2 Vene omase mofa knama hu'nea Israeli kumamo'a, haviza huno mopafi evuramianki'za mago'ane erisaga hu'za onkigahaze. Hagi agra mopafi evuramino maseankino, mago vahe'mo'a aza huno azeri ora otigahie.

She is fallen, she will not rise again—the virgin of Israel: she is thrown down upon her land; there is none to raise her up.

3 Hagi Hanavenentake Ra Anumzamo'a huno, mago Israeli vahe rankumapinti'ma 1tauseni'a sondia vahe'ma hate huzmante'nage'za vugahazanagi, ete 100'a vahe'mo'za egahaze. Hagi mago kuma'mo'ma 100'a vahe'ma huzamante'nage'za hate'ma vanazana, 10ni'age ete egahaze.

For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, The city that goeth forth with a thousand shall retain but a hundred, and she that goeth forth with a hundred shall retain but ten, [left] to the house of Israel.

4 Hagi menina Ra Anumzamo'a amanage Israeli vahemotagura hie, Tamagrama nagri'ma haketa eri fore'ma hanuta ofri kasefa huta manigahze!

For thus hath said the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye for me, and ye shall live;

5 Hagi Beteli kumate'ene Gilgali kumatera vuta nagrikura ome haketa vano nosuta, Beseba rugitagita oviho. Na'ankure Gigali vahe zamavare'za kina ome hunezmante'za Beteli vahera ha' vahe'mo'za eme zamahe hana hugahaze.

But seek not for Beth-el, and into Gilgal enter not, and to Beer-sheba' do not pass over; for Gilgal shall surely go into exile, and Beth-el shall become naught.

6 Hagi tamagra Ra Anumzamofoma haketa azeri fore'ma hanuta, tamagra ofri kasefa huta manigahaze. Hagi ana'ma osanazana, Agra tevegna huno eno Josefe nagara eme teno eri vagaregahie. Ana nehuno Beteli kumara tevemo tesigeno, anampima mani'naza vahera teve zamare'nigeno, mago vahe'mo'a ana tevea resu hugara osugahie.

Seek for the Lord, and ye shall live: so that he come not suddenly like fire over the house of Joseph, and it devour, and there be none to quench it in Beth-el;

7 Hagi keaga fatgo huta refkoa osu havige nehuta, fatgo vahera knaza nezami'za vahe mani'naze.

Ye who change justice into wormwood, and cast down righteousness to the earth!

8 Hagi Agra Ra Anumzamo'a atruma hu'za nemaniza hanafi taminku'ma Pleiadesiema nehaza hanafitamina tro hunenteno, Agrake monafima Orioniema nehaza hanafitamina tro huntege'za remsa hu'za me'naze. Hagi Agra hanina eri ruzahe higeno masa fore nehie. Hagi Agra hagerimpintira tina eri atru huteno kora atregeno, mopafina ete eneramie. Hu'neankino Agri agi'a Ra Anumzane.

[But] he maketh the seven stars and Orion, and changeth into morning the shadow of death, and maketh the day dark into night; he it is that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out over the face of the earth: The Lord is his name;

9 Hagi Agra hanave vahera ame huno zamazeri haviza nehuno, hanave vihuzmia ahe fragu vazinetre.

That causeth wasting to prevail against the strong, so that wasting shall come against the fortress.

10 Hagi keagafima fatgoma huza tamazeri fatgoma haza vahera tamavesra hunezamanteta, tamage'ma haza vahera tamago ate'nezmantaze.

They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and him that speaketh uprightly they abhor.

11 Hagi tamagra zamunte omane vahera zamazeri haviza huta rama'a takisi zago agi ahezamanteta witizmia enerita, fatgo huta miza agia ahenozmantaze. E'ina hu'nagu tamagra knare'nare nontami kinte'nazanagi ana nontamifina omanigahaze. Hagi tamagra knare'nare waini hoza ante'nazanagi, ana waini hozafintira tagita tima'a onegahaze.

Therefore forasmuch as you tread down upon the poor, and ye take from him onerous contributions of corn: if ye have built houses of hewn stone, ye shall not dwell in them; if ye have planted pleasant vineyards, ye shall not drink their wine.

12 Na'ankure Nagrama kena antahinama huana, tamagra tusi'a kumi hu'naze. Hagi zagoa enerita keagafina knare vahera zamazeri haviza nehuta, rankumamofo kahampima zamunte omane vahe'ma mani'nazana zamaza nosaze.

For I know your manifold transgressions and your numerous sins: ye are those that are the adversaries of the just, that take a ransom, and that wrest [the cause of] the needy in the gate.

13 E'ina hu'negu ama' antahi'zane vahe'mota, ama'i havi kna me'negu tamagira hamunkita maniho.

Therefore will the intelligent keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.

14 Hagi knare zama huzanku nehaketa, havi avu'ava zana atreta freho. Anama hanazana kasefa huta manigahaze. E'ina hanageno Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Hankavenentake Ra Anumzamo'a tamagrama taza hugahiema huta hanaza kante anteno tamaza hugahie.

Seek for the good, and not the evil, in order that ye may live: and so will the Lord, the God of hosts, be with you, as ye have said.

15 Hagi havi avu'ava zana tamavesra hunenteta, knare avu'avazanku tamavesinenteta, keagama refako hanazana fatgo huta refako hiho. E'ina'ma hanageno'a Hanavenentake Ra Anumzamo'a Josefe naga'ma osi'ama manisaza nagara asunku huramanteno tamaza hanigu'enene.

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish justice firmly in the gate: perhaps the Lord the God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

16 E'ina hu'negu Ra Anumzana Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Hankavenentake Anumzamo'a amanage hie, mika kuma kantamipinena vahe'mo'za tusi zavi ategahaze. Hagi hozama nentaza vahera ke hinke'za eza zavira eme netenageta, zagoreti miza sazage'zama zavi'ma netaza vahera ke hinke'za eza zagamera eme hu'za zavira ateho.

Therefore thus hath said the Eternal, the God of hosts, the Lord, On all public places there is lamentation, and in all the streets they cry, Woe! woe! and they call the husbandman to mourning, and to lamentation those skilled in wailing.

17 Hagi waini hozafintira rama'a zavi krafa hugahaze. Na'ankure Nagra tamagri amunompi nevanugeno anazana fore hugahie huno Ra Anumzamo'a hie.

And in all vineyards there is lamentation; for I will pass through thy midst, saith the Lord.

18 Hagi Ra Anumzamofo knama efore hanigeta kesaza zankura tusiza huno tamagrira tamave'nesie. Hagi ana knarera naza fore hugahie tamagra ontahi'naze. Hagi ana knare'ma fore'ma haniana, hanimo rentrako hanigeno masazana omanegahie.

Woe unto you that long for the day of the Lord! for what do you wish the day of the Lord? it is [one of] darkness, and not of light.

19 Hagi ana knafina tamagra mago vahe'mo'ma laionigu'ma koroma freno vuno beama ome tutagiha'ma huntea kna hugahaze. Huge mago vahe'mo'ma noma'afi umanigasama nehuno, aza anteganti antegeno osifavemo ampriankna hugahaze.

As if a man were to flee from a lion, and a bear should meet him; and he enter into the house, and lean his hand against the wall, and a serpent should bite him.

20 Hagi Ra Anumzamofo knamo'a haninentake hinkeno masazana omnetfa hugahie.

Behold the day of the Lord is [one of] darkness, and not of light; yea, it is obscure, and hath no brightness.

21 Hagi Nagra Ra Anumzamo'na atruma huta ne'zama kreta neneta musenkasema nehaza knagu'ene mono'ma nehaza knagura tusiza hu'na navesra huntoe.

I hate, I despise your feast-days, and I will not smell [the sacrifices] on your festive assemblies.

22 Hagi tamagrama krefanane hu ofama nehuta, witi ofama nehuta, afovage afutamima aheta tamarimpa fru ofama nehaza ofatamia, Nagra antahi oramigahue.

For though ye should offer me burnt-offerings and your meat-offerings, I will not accept them in favor: and the peace-offerings of your fatted cattle will I not look at.

23 Hagi sigrosigroma nehia zagame'ma nehuta, hapu zavenama nehaza zama antahi zankura tusiza huno navesra hianki erita freho.

Remove thou from around me the noise of thy songs: and the playing of thy psalteries I will not hear.

24 Hianagi tima hageno'ma evu vavama nehiankna hutma fatgoma huno refkoma hu tamavu tamavara huvava huta vihogu Nagrira neve'nesie.

But let justice roll along like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream.

25 Hagi Israeli vahe'mota 40'a kafufima hagege ka'ma kopima manita e'nazana Kresramana vu ofane, witi ofanena hunante'nazafi?

Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and meat-offerings in the wilderness [during] forty years, O house of Israel?

26 I'o, tamagra'a tamazanteti'ma tro'ma hunte'naza Sakuti kini havi anumzamofo amema'are'ene, Kizuni hanafi'mofo amema'ama tro'ma hunte'naza zante monora hunte'naze.

Bear then the canopy of your chief idol, and the figure of your images, the star of your god, which ye have made for yourselves.

27 E'ina hazagu Nagra tamagrira tamatrenuge'za Damaskasi kumamofo zage hanati kaziga tamavre'za kina ome huramantegahaze huno Monafi sondia Vahemofo Ra Anumzamo'a hu'ne.

And I will cause you to go into exile far beyond Damascus, saith the Lord, The God of hosts is his name.
