< 2 Samue 10 >
1 Hagi mago'a knama evutegeno'a Amoni kini ne' Nahasi'a fritegeno, nemofo Hanuni agri nona erino kinia mani'ne.
And it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his stead.
2 Hagi Hanuni nefa Nahasi'ma frigeno'a Deviti'a agesama antahiana, knare avu'ava hunante'nere, nagra knare navu'nava huntegahue huno nentahino, Deviti'a asunku ke atrentege'za Hanunina ome asami'naku Deviti eri'za vahe'amo'za vu'naze. Hianagi Deviti eri'za vahe'mo'zama Amoni mopafima unefrageno'a,
Then said David, I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness to me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.
3 Amoni kumate kva vahe'mo'za ra zamimofo Hanunina asami'za, Kagrama kagesama antahinana Devitia negafanku antahinemino asunku ke atregantege'za tamage hu'za eri'za e'nafi? I'o zamagra rankumatifi efre'za afure'za nege'za, ke eri'za vanage'za, ha' eme huragatere'za mopati erinaku e'naze.
And the princes of the children of Ammon said to Hanun their lord, Thinkest thou that David doth honor thy father, that he hath sent comforters to thee? hath not David [rather] sent his servants to thee, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?
4 Hagi anagema hazageno'a Deviti eri'za vahetamina Hanuni'a zamazeriteno, zamagi zamazokara hare atupa hunezamanteno, kenazamia zamariga avamenteti aheragato huteno, huzmantege'za ete vu'naze.
Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved off the one half of their beards, and cut off their garments in the middle, [even] to their buttocks, and sent them away.
5 Hagi ana kema Deviti'ma nentahino'a, eri'za vahe'a huzmanteno anage hu'ne, Tusi'a zamagaze hugahianki ome zamasaminke'za Jeriko mani'nenkeno zamagi zamazokara hagetenke'za eho.
When they told [it] to David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed. And the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards are grown, and [then] return.
6 Hagi Deviti'ma arimpama ahea kema Amoni vahe'mo'zama nentahi'za, mopafi vanoma hu'za ha'ma nehaza Aramia sondia vahera Bet-rehobu kumateti'ene Zoba Kumatetira 20 tauseni'a zagoreti mizase'za nezamavare'za, 1tauseni'a sondia vahe Ma'aka kini ne'mofo sondia vahepintira nezamavare'za, 12 tauseni'a sondia vahe Tob mopafintira zamavare'naze.
And when the children of Ammon saw that they had made themselves odious before David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Beth-rehob, and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand footmen, and of king Maacah a thousand men, and of Ish-tob twelve thousand men.
7 Hagi Deviti'a anankema nentahino'a Joapune, mika hanavenentake sondia vahe'a huzamantege'za ha' ome huzamantenaku vu'naze.
And when David heard of [it], he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men.
8 Hagi Amoni sondia vahe'mo'za ha' hunaku ranku'ma zamimofo kahante emeri atru nehazageno, Aramu sondia vahe'ma Zoba kumate'ene, Rehobu kumate vahe'mo'zane, Tob kumate ne, Ma'aka kinimofo sondia vahe'mo'za ha' hunaku kuma'mofo fegi'a agupofi emanimpi hu'naze.
And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the entrance of the gate: and the Syrians of Zoba, and of Rehob, and Ish-tob, and Maacah, [were] by themselves in the field.
9 Hagi Joapuma ome keama ha' vahe'mo'zama tarefima avugane amefi'enema manimpima hunazageno negeno'a, Israeli sondia vahe'mokizmi agu'afinti hanave sondia vahetamina ha'ma hanagu zamazeri retro nehuno, Aramu vahe'moki'zmima ha'ma huzmante'nagu agra'a ugota huzmanteno zamavareno vu'ne.
When Joab saw that the front of the battle was against him before and behind, he selected of all the choice [men] of Israel, and put [them] in array against the Syrians:
10 Hagi maka sondia vahera Joapu'a nefu Abisai azampi antegeno, kegava huzamantege'za Amoni vahe ha' huzamantenaku vu'naze.
And the rest of the people he delivered into the hand of Abishai his brother, that he might put [them] in array against the children of Ammon.
And he said, If the Syrians shall be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me: but if the children of Ammon shall be too strong for thee, then I will come and help thee.
12 Hagi korora osu hanavetinketa vahetigu'ene Ra Anumzantimofo rankumaku'ene hara hamneno. Hagi Ra Anumzamofo agri'a avesizamo efore hanie.
Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.
And Joab and the people that [were] with him drew near to the battle against the Syrians: and they fled before him.
14 Hagi Amoni vahe'mo'zama kageno, Aramu vahe'mo'zama atre'za frazageno'a, zamagranena Abisaianku koro fre'za rankuma'mofo agu'afinka ufre'naze.
And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians had fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.
And when the Syrians saw that they were smitten before Israel, they assembled themselves.
16 Hagi kini ne' Hadadezeri'a mago'a vahe huzmantege'za vu'za, Aramu vahe'ma Yufretisi timofo kantu kazigama nemaniza vahera ome ke hige'za e'naze. Hagi ana sondia vahe'mo'za Helamu emeri atru hazageno, Hadadezeri sondia vahete ugota kva ne' Sobaki'a ana sondia vahetera ugagota huzmante'ne.
And Hadarezer sent, and brought out the Syrians that [were] beyond the river: and they came to Helam; and Shobach the captain of the host of Hadarezer [went] before them.
And when it was told David, he assembled all Israel, and passed over Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set themselves in array against David, and fought with him.
And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew [the men of] seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.
And when all the kings [that were] servants to Hadarezer saw that they were smitten before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.
