And it cometh to pass, in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, reigned hath Hezekiah son of Ahaz king of Judah;

2 Hagi Hezekaiana kafu'amo'a 25fu nehigeno kinia fore huteno, 29ni'a kafufi Jerusalemia kinia mani'neno kegava hu'ne. Nerera agi'a Abijakino Zekaraia mofa mani'ne.

a son of twenty and five years was he in his reigning, and twenty and nine years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Abi daughter of Zechariah.

3 Hagi Negeho ne' Deviti'ma hu'neaza huno Hezekaia Ra Anumzamofo avurera maka fatgo avu'avaza hu'ne.

And he doth that which [is] right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that David his father did,

he hath turned aside the high places, and broken in pieces the standing-pillars, and cut down the shrine, and beaten down the brazen serpent that Moses made, for unto these days were the sons of Israel making perfume to it, and he calleth it 'a piece of brass.'

5 Hezekai'a Israeli vahe Ra Anumzantera hanavetino amentintia hu'ne. Hagi ko'ma Juda vahe kinima mani'za e'naza kini vahe'ene, agriteti'ma henkama fore'ma hu'naza kini vahepintira magore hu'za agrikna kinia forera osu'naze.

In Jehovah, God of Israel, he hath trusted, and after him there hath not been like him among all the kings of Judah, nor [among any] who were before him;

and he cleaveth to Jehovah, he hath not turned aside from after Him, and keepeth His commands that Jehovah commanded Moses.

And Jehovah hath been with him, in every place where he goeth out he acteth wisely, and he rebelleth against the king of Asshur, and hath not served him;

8 Hagi ne'onse kumapine hankave keginama hu'naza ranra kumapima nemaniza Filistia vahera ogantu Gaza rankumateti agafa huteno, ana kuma tva'onte'ma me'nea ne'onse kumapima nemaniza vahera, Hezekaia'a ana maka hara huzmagatere'ne.

he hath smitten the Philistines unto Gaza, and its borders, from a tower of watchers unto the fenced city.

9 Hagi Hezekai'ama kinima manino egeno 4ma hia kafurera, Ela nemofo Hosea'ma Israeli kinima mani'neana kafu'amo'a 7ni hu'ne. Ana kafufina Asiria kini ne' Salmaneseli'a sondia vahezaga'ane eno ha'huzmante'naku Sameria kumara eme avazagi kagi'ne.

And it cometh to pass, in the fourth year of king Hezekiah — it [is] the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel — come up hath Shalmaneser king of Asshur against Samaria, and layeth siege to it,

10 Hagi Asiria vahe'mo'za Sameria rankumara avazagikagiza hara hume nevazageno 3'a kafu evutege'za, ana kumara hara huzmagatere'za eri'naze. Higeno ama ana kafumo'a Hezekaima kinima manino e'nea kafua 6si higeno, Hosea'ma kinima manino'ma e'nea kafua 9ni hu'ne.

and they capture it at the end of three years; in the sixth year of Hezekiah — it [is] the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel — hath Samaria been captureth,

11 Anama huteno Asiria kini ne'mo'a Israeli vahera zamavareno Asiria vuno, mago'a ome zamatrege'za Hala kumate nemanizageno, mago'a Habori ti tvaonte Gosani kaziga nemanizageno, mago'a Midia vahe'ma nemaniza ranra kumatmimpi zamatrege'za mani'naze.

and the king of Asshur removeth Israel to Asshur, and placed them in Halah, and in Habor [by] the river Gozan, and [in] cities of the Medes,

12 Na'ankure ana maka knazama Israeli vahete'ma fore hu'neana, zamagra Ra Anumzana Anumza zamimofo nanekea amage nonte'za, Ra Anumzamo'ma zamagranema erihagerafi huvempa kema hu'neana rutagre'za, Ra Anumzamofo eri'za ne' Mosese'ma zami'nea kasegenena zamefi huminagu, anara hu'naze.

because that they have not hearkened to the voice of Jehovah their God, and transgress His covenant — all that He commanded Moses, servant of Jehovah — yea, they have not hearkened nor done [it].

13 Hagi Hezekaia'ma Juda vahe kinima mani'negeno 14nima hia kafufina, Asiria kini ne' Senakeripi'a Juda vahera eme hahuzmanteno ana maka ranra kuma'ma hankave keginama hu'naza kumatmina erivagare'ne.

And in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah hath Sennacherib king of Asshur come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and seizeth them,

14 Hagi Asiria kini ne' Senakeripi'ma Lakisi kumate'ma mani'negeno'a, Juda kini ne' Hezekai'a amanage huno kea atrentegeno vu'ne, Nagra hazenke hu'noe. E'ina hu'negu kagra natrenka rukrahe hunka vuo. and Hezekiah king of Judah sendeth unto the king of Asshur to Lachish, saying, 'I have sinned, turn back from off me; that which thou puttest on me I bear;' and the king of Asshur layeth on Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver, and thirty talents of gold,

15 Hagi anagema higeno'a, Ra Anumzamofo mono nompima silva zagoma me'neama'ane, kini ne'mofo nompima zagoma nentafima silva zagoma me'neama'a ana maka Hezekaia'a erivagareno ami'ne.

and Hezekiah giveth all the silver that is found in the house of Jehovah, and in the treasures of the house of the king;

at that time hath Hezekiah cut off the doors of the temple of Jehovah, and the pillars that Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid, and giveth them to the king of Asshur.

17 Hagi Asiria kini ne'ma Lakisi kumate'ma mani'neno, sondia vahete'ma ugagota hu'naza 3'a kva vahera huzmantege'za, tusi sondia vahe'zagane Hezekai'ma Jerusalemi mani'nerega vu'naze. Hagi ana vahe'mo'za Jerusalemi uhanatite'za, anaga kazigama me'nea tirutegati'ma kerima ase'za tima avre'za Jerusalemi kumapima urami'nazare vu'za ana tvaonte umani'naze. Ana tima avre'naza kerimo'a tavravere'ma penima fre'za tro'ma nehaza kumategama vu'nea kamofo tvaonte me'ne.

And the king of Asshur sendeth Tartan, and the chief of the eunuchs, and the chief of the butlers, from Lachish, unto king Hezekiah, with a heavy force, to Jerusalem, and they go up and come in to Jerusalem, and they go up, and come in and stand by the conduit of the upper pool that [is] in the highway of the fuller's field.

18 Hagi ana kini ne' Hezekaianku ke hazageno, agri nonte'ma kegavama nehia ne' Hilkia nemofo Eliakiminki, avontafe'ma kreno eri fatgoma nehia ne' Sebnanki, kini ne'mo'ma ana maka'zama hiazama avompima krenentea ne', Asapu nemofo Joanki huno huzmantege'za vu'naze.

And they call unto the king, and go out unto them doth Eliakim son of Hilkiah, who [is] over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah son of Asaph the remembrancer.

19 Hagi ana 3'a Hezekaia eri'za vahe'ma uhanatizageno'a, Siria sondia vahete ugota kva ne' Rabsake'a amanage huno zamasami'ne, Asiria kumate hanavenentake kini ne'mo'a amanage huno hie, Kagra ina hankveka'agu nentahinka nagri nagorga mani'nakura nosane hanki Hezekaiana ome asamiho.

And the chief of the butlers saith unto them, 'Say, I pray you, unto Hezekiah, Thus said the great king, the king of Asshur, What [is] this confidence in which thou hast confided?

20 Kagrama nehanana ha'ma hu antahintahine sondia vahe'enena knare hu'noe hunka nehananagi, kekamo'a nena'a forera osugahie. Ina vahe'mo kzahuku higenka, kagra nagri nagorga nomani'ne.

Thou hast said: Only a word of the lips! counsel and might [are] for battle; now, on whom hast thou trusted that thou hast rebelled against me?

21 Hagi menina kagra Isipi vahe'mo'za naza hanage'na hara hugahue hunka kavua nentane. Hianagi Isipi kumamo'a ketamo rufutagiankna hu'ne. E'ina hu'neankinka ana ketama erinkama azompama renka'ma vnanana kzampi kregahie. Hagi Isipi kini ne'mofo avu'ava'amo'a e'ina ketakna hu'neankino, agrama tamazama haniana e'ina hugahie.

'Now, lo, thou hast trusted for thee on the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; which a man leaneth on, and it hath gone into his hand, and pierced it! — so [is] Pharaoh king of Egypt to all those trusting on him.

'And when ye say unto me, Unto Jehovah our God we have trusted, is it not He whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath turned aside, and saith to Judah and to Jerusalem, Before this altar do ye bow yourselves in Jerusalem?

23 Hagi Hezekaiagagura Asiria kini nemo'a amanage huno hu'ne, Kagrama hu izo hunka mago krimpama hnanke'na, kagri sondia vahe'ma knare huno rama'ama mani'nesazana amne 2tauseni'a hosi afura kamisnuge'za agumpina mani'za vugahazanagi nagrama antahuana e'inahu avamentera sondia vaheka'a omani'naze.

'And, now, give a pledge for thee, I pray thee, to my lord the king of Asshur, and I give to thee two thousand horses, if thou art able to give for thee riders on them.

24 Hagi kagrama Isipi vahe'mokizmi karisine, hosi afu agumpima mani'za ha'ma nehaza sondia vaheku'ma antahinezaminana, inanka hunka tagripintira mago agi omaneno, amne sondia vahera hara hugateregahane?

And how dost thou turn back the face of one captain of the least of the servants of my lord, that thou dost trust for thee on Egypt for chariot, and for horsemen?

25 Hagi mago'anena nagra navesite e'na hara eme hugante'na mopaka'a eri haviza hunakura ome'noe. Ra Anumzamo hunanteno vunka ha' ome huzmantenka mopazamia eri haviza huo huno hige'na e'noe.

Now, without Jehovah have I come up against this place to destroy it? Jehovah said unto me, Go up against this land, and thou hast destroyed it.'

26 Hagi Hilkia nemofo Eliakimi'ma, Sebna'ma, Joasi'ma hu'za anankema nentahi'za, Asiria sondia vahete'ma ugota hu'nea sondia ne' Rabsakena amanage hu'za asmi'naze, tagra kagri eri'za vahe mani'nonanki Asiria vahe'mokizmi zamagerupinti tasamio. Na'ankure tagra ana tamagerura antahinone. Hagi Hibru tagerupintira ontasamio, kagrama anama hnanke'za kuma keginamofo agofetu'ma mani'naza vahe'mo'za hanana nanekea antahigahaze hu'za hu'naze.

And Eliakim son of Hilkiah saith — and Shebna, and Joah — to the chief of the butlers, 'Speak, we pray thee, unto thy servants [in] Aramaean, for we are understanding, and do not speak with us [in] Jewish, in the ears of the people who [are] on the wall.'

27 Hianagi ana sondia vahete kva ne'mo'a amanage huno zamasami'ne, Kvani'amo'ma hunantege'na e'noana tamagri 3'a nagate'ene kini tamimofontegagera ama nanekea atreramantege'na eri'na ome'noanki, anama kegina agofetu'ma mani'naza vahemo'zanena amne ananke'a antahighaze. Na'ankure ha'ma erita eme kumatmima avazagi kagisunke'za, kegina agofetu'ma mani'naza ne'za nesazazanku huge'za rifa'zami nene'za abire'za nenesageta, tamagranena ana zanke hugahaze.

And the chief of the butlers saith unto them, 'For thy lord, and unto thee, hath my lord sent me to speak these words? is it not for the men, those sitting on the wall to eat their own dung and to drink their own water, with you?'

28 Hagi anante ana sondia vahete kva ne'mo'a otino Hibru vahe'mokizmi zamagerupinti kezatino amanage huno zamasami'ne, tamagra amarega tamagesa ante'neta hankave kini ne' Asiria kini ne'mofonkea antahiho!

And the chief of the butlers standeth and calleth with a great voice [in] Jewish, and speaketh and saith, 'Hear ye a word of the great king, the king of Asshur:

29 Hagi Asiria kini ne'mo'a amanage huno hu'ne, Tamagra atrenkeno Hezekaia'a reramatga osino, agra muhara osu'neankino nagri nazampintira tamagura ovazigahie.

thus said the king, Let not Hezekiah lift you up, for he is not able to deliver you out of his hand;

30 Hagi Hezekaia'ma huno Ra Anumzamo'a taza hanigeta knare huta manisunke'za Asiria vahe'mo'za Jerusalemi rankumara hara huragatere'za e'origahazanki Ra Anumzamofontega tamentinti hihoma huno tutu huramantesia kegura antahiomiho.

and let not Hezekiah make you trust unto Jehovah, saying, Jehovah doth certainly deliver us, and this city is not given into the hand of the king of Asshur.

31 Hagi tamagra Hezekaia nanekea antahimita ha'mahu tamagesa ontahiho. Asiria kini ne'mo'a huno tamagrama natresage'nama kumatmima erisu'na, nagra amne tamatresugetma, waini hozatmifintira wainia tagita nenetma, fiki zafa ragatamia tagitma nenetma, tinkeri tamifintira tina afitma negahaze.

'Do not hearken unto Hezekiah, for thus said the king of Asshur, Make with me a blessing, and come out unto me, and eat ye each of his vine, and each of his fig-tree, and drink ye each the waters of his own well,

32 Hagi ana hutma kofta kna'afi mani'nesnage'na, nagra eme tamavre'na vu'na tamagri mopagna mopama, witi ragane waini timo'ene, bretine waini hozamo'ene, olivi zafamo'ene tumerimo'ma tusizama hu'nea mopa ome tamihanugeta ofrita umanigahaze. E'ina hu'negu Hezekaiama huno, Ra Anumzamo tagu'vazigahie huno havigema nehia kagura ontahiho.

till my coming in, and I have taken you unto a land like your own land, a land of corn and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive, and honey, and live, and die not; and do not hearken unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, Jehovah doth deliver us.

33 Hagi mago kaziga mopare anumzamo'a vahe'a zamagu vazige'za Asiria kinia hara hu'za agaterenazafi? A'o mago kuma'mo'e huno anara osu'ne.

'Have the gods of the nations delivered at all each his land out of the hand of the king of Asshur?

34 Hagi Hamati rankuma'ma, Arpati rankuma'ma, Sefarvaimi rankuma'ma, Hena rankum'ma, Iva rankuma'enema, tagrama vuta ha'ma huzmante'nonana anumza zamimo'za iga mani'ne'za zamaza osu'naze. Hagi Sameria kuma'ma ha'ma huzmante'nonana anumzazmimo'a zamagura ovazi'ne.

Where [are] the gods of Hamath and Arpad? where the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivvah, that they have delivered Samaria out of my hand?

35 Hagi mago'a kuma'ma ha'ma huzmante'nonana anumza zamimo'a mago kumare huno zamaza hige'za hara huragateore'naze. E'ina hu'negu inankna huno Ra Anumzamo'a tamazahina tagrira hara huragatereta Jerusalemi kumara agura vazigahaze?

Who [are they] among all the gods of the lands that have delivered their land out of my hand, that Jehovah doth deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?'

36 Hagi ana Asiria sondia vahete kva ne'mo'ma keagama hu'neana zamagra akohe'za mani'ne'za keaga'arera magore hu'za kenona'a osu'naze. Na'ankure kini ne' Hezekaia'a zamasamino, Keaga'arera mago kea nona osiho huno huzmante'nege'za anara hu'naze.

And the people have kept silent, and have not answered him a word, for the command of the king is, saying, 'Do not answer him.'

And Eliakim son of Hilkiah, who [is] over the house, cometh in, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah son of Asaph the remembrancer, unto Hezekiah, with rent garments, and they declare to him the words of the chief of the butlers.
