1 Hanki kuini a' Atalia'ma kegeno nemofo kini ne' Ahaziama frigeno'a, sondia vahe huzamantege'za Juda vahe'mokizmi nagapima, kinima fore huga vahe'ma mani'nazana maka zamahe vagare'ne.
When King Ahaziah’s mother Athaliah saw that her son had been killed, she commanded that all the members of Ahaziah’s family [who might become king] must be executed.
2 Hianagi kini vahe mofavrezagama nezamahazageno'a kini ne' Joramu mofa, Ahazia nesaro Jehoseba'a, Joasina avre frakino, agrama nemasefinka kegava higeno mani'ne. Hagi mase tafetamima nentafinka kvama huntesia a'ene zanatregeke anampinka mani'nakeno Atalia'a ahe ofri'ne.
So Ahaziah’s sons were all about to be murdered. But Jehosheba, who was King Jehoram’s daughter and Ahaziah’s half-sister, took Ahaziah’s [very young] son Joash and hid him and (his nursemaid/the woman who took care of him) in a bedroom [in the temple]. So he was not killed.

He stayed with Jehosheba for six years. All during that time, he remained hidden in the temple, while Athaliah ruled [Judah].

But during the next year, Jehoiada the Supreme Priest summoned the officers who supervised the royal bodyguards and the palace guards. He told them to come to the temple. There he required them to solemnly promise that they would do what he told them to do. And he showed King Ahaziah’s son Joash to them.

He gave them these instructions: “There are three groups of you guards. When one group finishes their work on the Sabbath day, [divide yourselves into] three smaller groups. One group must guard the palace.

Another group must guard at the Sur Gate. The other group must guard at the gate behind the other groups.
7 Anama nehanage'za tare kevumo'za mani fruma hu (Sabat) knazupama manigasa hanamo'za Ra Anumzamofo mono nompina kini ne' Joasina eme kva huntegahaze.
The two groups that are not working on the Sabbath day must guard the temple [to protect little King Joash].
8 Hanki inantego kini ne' Joasi'ma vanoma hanigeta, kazina tamazampi erineta kvahu so'e nehinkeno, iza'o tva'oma'arema esimofona ahe friho.
You must stand around the king wherever he goes, with your weapons in your hands. You must kill anyone who comes near you.”
9 Anante pristi ne' Jehoida'ma zamasamiaza hu'za 100'a sondia vahete kva hu'naza vahe'mo'za manigasama hu kna (Sabati) zupama manigasama hanaza sondia vahe'ene, zamagri noma eri'za eri'zama erisaza sondia vahe'ene zamavare'za Jehoida'ma Ra Anumzamofo nompima mani'nere e'naze.
The officers [who supervised the guards] did what Jehoiada told them to do. Each one brought to Jehoiada the guards that he supervised—the guards who were just finishing their work and those who were about to start their work on the Sabbath day.
10 Anante pristi ne'mo'a kini ne' Deviti hankoramine keveramima Ra Anumzamofo mono nompima me'neana erino 100'a sondia vahete'ma kvama huterema hu'naza vahera zami'ne.
The priest distributed to the commanders of the guards the spears and shields that had belonged to King David, that were kept/stored in the temple.
11 Ana hutege'za ana maka sondia vahe'mo'za ha'zana zamazampi eri vaganere'za kini ne' nomofo tamaga kazigati vuno hoga kaziga evigeno kresramna vu itane, ana mono nonena kegava hu'naze.
Then he commanded all the guards to stand in their positions, each one with his sword in his hand, all around the young king.
12 Hanki sondia naga'mozama tro'ma hu'za otitageno'a, anante pristi ne' Jehoida'a ana kini nemofo mofavre Joasina avreno, atiramino kini fetori asenirera antente'ne. Ana nehuno azampina kasege krente'naza avontafe amigeno eri'neno ne-ege'za huama huza, kini ne'mo'a zaza kna kinia manigahie. Then he brought Joash out. He put the crown on his head and gave him a scroll on which were written the rules [that the kings needed to obey]. Then he poured some olive oil on Joash’s head and proclaimed that he was now the king. The people all clapped their hands and shouted, “We desire/hope that the king will live for many years!”
13 Hanki sondia vahe'ene, vahe kevumo'za'ma haza zamagasasa kema, kuini a' Ataliama nentahino'a, Ra Anumzamofo ra mono nompima vahe'ma atruma hu'za mani'nazarega vu'ne.
When Athaliah heard the noise that was being made by the guards and the other people, she ran to the temple, where the people were gathered.

She saw the new king standing there alongside one of the big pillars, which was the place at the temple where the kings usually stood. She saw that he was surrounded by the temple officers and men blowing trumpets, and that the people were shouting joyfully, and [some of] them were also blowing trumpets. She tore her clothes [to show her distress] and shouted, “You are traitors! You have tricked/deceived me!”

Anama nehutma agri'ma amage'ma nentaza vahera kazinteti zamaheho. Anage nehuno pristi ne' Jehoiada'a zamasamino, ana a'ra Ra Anumzamofo mono nompina ahe ofrita megi'a avreta viho hu'ne.
Jehoiada [immediately] said, “Kill her, but do not kill her here at the temple of Yahweh! Take her away between two rows of guards. And kill anyone who tries to rescue her!”
16 Hanki anagema hutege'za ana a'ra avazu hu'za kini ne'mofo nonte'ma hosi afutamimoza'ma nevaza kafante vu'za ome ahe fri'naze.
[She tried to flee, but] the guards seized her and took her to the palace, to the place where horses enter the courtyard. They killed her there.
17 Anante Pristi ne' Jehoiada'a kini ne' Joasine, vea kevu naga'ene Ra Anumzamofonte'ene, mago huvempa kasege hugagerafino, Ra Anumzamofo vaheke manisune huno hu'ne. Ana zanke huno zamasamige'za vea kevune kini ne'enena mago huvempa kasegea huhagerafi'naze.
Then Jehoiada made a solemn agreement between the king and the people, that they would always (obey/be faithful to) Yahweh. He also made an agreement requiring the people to be loyal to Joash their king.
18 Anama hute'za ana maka vahe'mo'za oti'za vu'za Bali havi anumzamofo mono nona ome tapage hunetre'za, Kresramanama vu itaramine, Bali havi anumzamofo amema'ama tro'ma hunte'nazana rutako hutre'naze. Ana nehu'za Bali havi anumzamofo pristi ne' Matanina Kresramana vu itaramimofo avuga ahe fri'naze. Anante pristi ne' Jehoiada'a mago'a sondia vahera huzamantege'za Ra Anumzamofo mono nona ome kva hu'naze.
Then all the people of Israel who were there went to the temple of Baal and tore it down. They smashed the altars and the statues of Baal. They also killed Mattan, the priest of Baal, in front of the altars. Jehoiada stationed/put guards at the temple of Yahweh.
19 Anama huteno 100'a sondia vahete'ma kegava huterema hu'naza kva vahe'ene, kini nete'ma kvama hanaza sondia vahe'ene, kinimofo nonte'ma kvama hanaza sondia vahera Jehoiada'a huzmantege'za, Ra Anumzamofo mono nompintira kini nera avre'za kinimofo nontega nevazageno, ana maka zamagefi zamavaririza vazageno, sondia vahe kafanema nehaza kafanteti ufreno Joasi'a kini tratera umani'ne.
Then he and the officers of the temple, the officers who supervised the royal bodyguards, and the king’s bodyguards brought the king from the temple to the palace. All the people [followed them]. Joash entered the palace at the Guard Gate and sat down on the throne, [which showed that he was the new king].
20 Anama hutege'za ana maka vahe'mo'za muse hu'naze. Hagi Ataliana kazinteti kinimofo no tva'onte ahe frizageno, Jerusalemi rankumapina mago'a agasasana omnegeno zamarimpa fru hu'za mani'naze.
All the people of Judah rejoiced. And because Athaliah had been killed, the city was quiet/calm.
21 Hanki Joasina kafu'amo'a 7nima nehigeno, kinia azeri oti'naze.
Joash was seven years old when he became the king [of Judah].
