1 Hagi Rehoboamu'ma Jerusalemi kumate'ma ne-eno'a, Israeli vahe'ma ha'ma huzmanteno ana maka Israeli mopama erino kinima mani'nakura, ha'ma hu antahi'zama eri'naza vahera 180tauseni'a vahetami Juda nagapinte'ene Benzameni nagapintira ke hutru huno, Israeli vahera agrarega zamavarenteno kegava huzmantenaku hu'ne.
And when Rehobo'am was come to Jerusalem, he assembled the house of Judah and Benjamin a hundred and eighty thousand chosen men, warriors, to fight against Israel, to bring back the kingdom again to Rehobo'am.
2 Hianagi Ra Anumzamo'a kasnampa ne' Semaiana anage huno asami'ne,
But the word of the Lord came unto Shema'yahu the man of God, saying,
3 Kagra vunka, Juda kini ne' Solomoni nemofo Rehoboamune, maka Israeli vahetamima Judama nemaniza vahetamine, Benzameni naga'enena,
Say unto Rehobo'am the son of Solomon, the king of Judah and Benjamin, saying,
4 Ra Anumzamo'a amanage hie hunka ome zamasamio, tamagra marerita tamafuhe'zanena hara ome osugahazanki, makamota nontamirega vuta eta hiho. Na'ankure Nagra e'ina zana fore hugahie hu'na hu'noazamo fore nehie. Anage hige'za Ra Anumzamofonke antahi'za Jeroboamuna hara ome huonte atre'za vu'za e'za hu'naze.
Thus hath said the Lord, Ye shall not go up, nor fight with your brethren: return every man to his house; for from me hath this thing been brought about. And they hearkened to the words of the Lord, and returned from going against Jerobo'am.
5 Hagi Rehoboamu'a Jerusalemi kumate mani'neno ha'ma hanigeno fraki rankumatamima Juda mopafi me'neana ete eri hanavetino kintetere hu'ne.
And Rehobo'am dwelt in Jerusalem, and built cities as fortresses in Judah.
6 Hagi ana rankumatamina Betlehemu kumaki, Etam kumaki, Tekoa kumaki,
He built, namely, Beth-lechem, and 'Etam, and Thekoa'.
7 Bet-zuri kumaki, Soko kumaki, Adulamu kumaki,
And Beth-zur, and Socho, and 'Adullam,
8 Gati kumaki, Maresa kumaki, Zifi kumaki,
And Gath, and Mareshah, and Ziph,
9 Adoraimi kumaki, Lakisi kumaki, Azeka kumaki,
And Adorayim and Lachish, and 'Azekah,
10 Zora kumaki, Aijaloni kumaki Hebroni kuma'enene. Hagi ama ana mika rankumatamina Judane, Benzameni mopafi me'ne.
And Zor'ah, and Ayalon, and Hebron, which are in Judah and in Benjamin, fortified cities.
11 Hagi hankavenentake vihuma hunte kumatamimpina sondia vahete kva vahetami zamavarenenteno, ne'zane olivi masaventamine, waini tinena anampina ante'ne.
And he strengthened the strong-holds, and put commanders in them, and stores of food, and oil and wine;
12 Hagi anazanke huno ana ranra kumatamimpina hankoramine, karugru keveramine, refko huno antetere nehuno, ana kuma keginaramina eri hanavetino tro hu'ne. E'ina huno Juda naga'ene Benzameni naga'enena kegava hu'ne.
And in each and every city [he placed] shields and spears, and made them exceedingly strong: and thus remained with him Judah and Benjamin.
13 Hagi Israeli mopafima maka noti kazigama me'nea kumatamimpi nemani'za maka pristi vahe'mo'zane, Livae vahe'mo'za Rehoboamu kazigage ante'naze.
And the priests and the Levites that were in all Israel presented themselves to him out of all their territory.
14 Hagi Livae vahe'mo'zane kumazamine, sipisipi afu'ene bulimakao afu'enema kegavama nehaza kuma'enena atre'za, Juda kumate'ene Jerusalemi kumate e'naze. Na'ankure Jeroboamu'ene ne' mofavre'amoza Ra Anumzamofo pristi vahera omanigahaze hu'za huzmante'nazagu arara hu'naze.
For the Levites left their open districts and their possession, and went to Judah and Jerusalem; because Jerobo'am and his sons cast them off from executing the priest's office unto the Lord,
15 Hagi agra'a pristi vahetami zamazeri otige'za mono'ma nehaza agona kumatamimpina meme afu'mofone bulimakao anentamofo amema'a tro hunte'nege'za monora hunte'naze.
And [because] he ordained for himself priests for the high-places, and for the evil spirits, and for the calves which he had made.
16 Hagi maka Israeli vahe'mo'za naga nofipinti'ma Ra Anumzana Israeli vahe Anumzamofona hanaveti'za mono'ma huntenaku'ma nehaza vahe'mo'zane, pristi vahetamine Livae nagara zamavariri'za Ra Anumzana zamafahe'i Anumzante kresramna vunaku Jerusalemi vu'naze.
And after them [came] out of all the tribes of Israel such as directed their heart to seek the Lord the God of Israel: these came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the Lord, the God of their fathers.
17 Hagi 3'a kafufina Juda vahe'ene umani'neza Solomoni nemofo Rehoboamuna aza hu'za Juda kumara eri hanaveti'naze. Na'ankure ana 3'a kafufina zamagra Deviti'ene, Solomonikema kinima manineke knare zanavu'zanava hu'na'a zanavu'zanava avariri'za, Rehoboamuna aza hu'naze.
And they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and brought power to Rehobo'am, the son of Solomon, during three years; for they walked in the way of David and Solomon during three years.
18 Hagi Rehoboamu'a, Deviti nemofo Jerimoti mofa Mahalati ara eri'ne. Hagi Mahalati nerera agi'a Abihailikino agra Jesi nemofo Eliapu mofa mani'ne.
And Rehobo'am took himself as wife Machalath the daughter of Jerimoth the son of David, [and] Abichayil the daughter of Eliab the son of Jesse;
19 Hagi Mahalati'a Rehoboamunte mani'neno, Jeusima, Semariama Zahamuma huno kasezmante'ne.
And she bore to him sons: Je'ush, and Shamaryah, and Zaham.
20 Henka ara Jehoboamu'a Absalomu mofa Ma'aka ara eri'ne. Hagi Rehoboamunteti'ma Ma'akama kasezmante'nea mofavreramina Abijama, Ataima, Zizama, Selomitima huno kasezmante'ne.
And after her did he take Ma'achah the daughter of Abshalom; and she bore to him Abiyah, and 'Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.
21 Hagi Rehoboamu'a maka ane'aramimpinti'ene henka a'nema erinefintira zamagatereno Absalomu mofa Ma'akana rama'azampi avesinte'ne. Hagi ana maka 18ni'a ese a'negi henka a'nea 60'a zamante'ne. Hagi ana a'nemo'za ne' mofavreramina 28'a kasezmante'za 60'a mofane kasezamante'naze.
And Rehobo'am loved Ma'achah the daughter of Abshalom more than all his wives and his concubines; for he had taken eighteen wives and sixty concubines; and he begat twenty and eight sons, and sixty daughters.
22 E'ina hu'negu Rehoboamu'a Ma'aka nemofo Abija kva azeri otigeno, zamafuhe'ina kegava huzmante'ne. E'ina hu'neno henka kini azeri otisigu anara hu'ne.
And Rehobo'am appointed Abiyah the son of Ma'achah to be the chief, to be ruler among his brethren; because [he desired] to make him king.
23 Rehoboamu'a knare antahintahi erino mago'a ne' mofavre naga'a eri'zana refko huno nezamino, mago'a ne'mofavre naga'a huzmantege'za Juda naga mopafine, Benzameni naga mopafi'ma me'nea ranra kumatamima eri hankavematia kumatamina kegava hutere hu'naze. Ana nehuno rama'a feno nezmino, rama'a a'ne hagezami'ne.
And he dealt understandingly, and dispersed all his children throughout all the countries of Judah and Benjamin, unto all the fortified cities; and he gave them food in abundance and he required [for them] a multitude of wives.
