< 1 Timoti 1 >
From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the appointment of God, our Savior, and Christ Jesus, our hope.
2 Timotiga nagri tamage mofavremoka mago tamentinti nehu'mokarega, Anumza Nerafantegati'ene Krais Jisasi Ranti'mo'a asunku huganteno asurgi'zane, arimpa fruzana kamisigeno kagrane mesie.
To Timothy, my true child in the faith: May God, the Father, and Christ Jesus, our Lord, bless you, and be merciful to you, and give you peace.
3 Hagi Masedonia katre'na vunaku nehu'na, nagra tutu hugante'noe. Efesasi mani'nenka havi mono huku hanaza nagara, anara osiho hunka nezmasminka,
I beg you, as I did when I was on my way into Macedonia, to remain at Ephesus; so that you may instruct certain people there not to teach new and strange doctrines,
4 havige hanaza kegu antahi zamige, korapa fore hu'nesia kanihe kerera antahi ozamiho. Na'ankure ana zamo'a hafra fore huno tamaza osina, Anumza'mofontegati erinaku tamentinti hanaza zana e'origahaze.
nor to devote their attention to legends and interminable genealogies, which tend to give rise to argument rather than to further that divine plan which is revealed in the faith.
5 Hianagi tagrama rempi hunezamuna zamofo agafa'a, zamesi nezmante'za zamagu'areti agru hu'ne'za, knare zamagu'zamagesareti zamentinti hugahaze.
The object of all instruction is to call forth that love which comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a sincere faith.
And it is because they have not aimed at these things that the attention of certain people has been diverted to unprofitable subjects.
7 Kasege huzamasmi vahe nesampra'zanagi, zamagra ana kema hazankea antahinira osu'ne'za, antahi'none nehu'za zamufa eri mareri'zageno kemo'a nena'a nomane.
They want to be teachers of the Law, and yet do not understand either the words they use, or the subjects on which they speak so confidently.
8 Hu'neanagi tagra antahi'none, kasegemo'a knare hu'negeta, ana kasegema Anumzamo hu'nere, amage anteta avariri sunkeno'a knare hugahie.
We know, of course, that the Law is excellent, when used legitimately,
9 Hagi tagranena antahi'none kasegema tami'neana fatgozama nehaza vahe'mokizmigure huno ozami'ne. Hagi kasegema ovariri'za ha'nentake nehu'za, Anumzamofo avu'ava nosu'za kumi' nehaza vahe'ene mani otage osu'za, otage huno mani'zanku huhavi'za nehu'za, nezmafano nezamrerano zamahe nefri'za, vahe zamahe nefri'za,
by one who recognizes that laws were not made for good people, but for the lawless and disorderly, for irreligious and wicked people, for those who are irreverent and profane, for those who ill-treat their fathers or mothers, for murderers,
10 monko'za nehaza vahe'ene, vemo vene mase'zane, vahe kumzafa nesea vahe'ene, agi'ari vahe'ene, hu'nesia zanteku vahane hu' vahe'ene, knare'za rempi huzmi zanku huhaviza hu vahe zami'ne.
for the immoral, for perverts, for slave traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for whatever else is opposed to sound Christian teaching –
11 Masanentake konarari'ane Knare Musenke'afi (gospol) asomu'ane Anumzamo'a huzamasmio huno nagrira huhamprinante'nea kante ante'na nezamasmue.
as is taught in the glorious good news of the ever-blessed God, with which I was entrusted.
12 Hagi Krais Jisasi'a tagri Ramo, hihamu nami'negu muse hunentoe.
I am thankful to Christ Jesus, our Lord, who has been my strength, for showing that he thought me worthy of trust by appointing me to his ministry,
13 Hianagi korapara Anumzamofona nagra azanva ke nehu'na, amage' nentaza vahera zamazeri kore nehu'na, tusiza hu'na Jisasi agifi amage'nentaza vahera harezmante'noe. Ana hu'noanagi asunku hunante'ne. Na'ankure antahi'na ke'na osu'nena namentintia osu'nogu anara hu'noe.
though I once used to blaspheme, and to persecute, and to insult. Yet mercy was shown me, because I acted in ignorance, while still an unbeliever;
14 Krais Jisasi'a Rantimo asunku hunanteno naza higena Agrite namentinti nehu'na avesinte'noe.
and the loving kindness of our Lord was boundless, and filled me with that faith and love which come from union with Christ Jesus.
How true the saying is, and worthy of the fullest acceptance, that ‘Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners’! And there is no greater sinner than I!
Yet mercy was shown me for the express purpose that Christ Jesus might exhibit in my case, beyond all others, his exhaustless patience, as an example for those who were afterward to believe on him and attain eternal life. (aiōnios )
17 Menine maka knafima manivava nehia Kini nera, ofrino, vahe'mo onke, magoke Anumzana, konariri'ane manivava hugahie. Tamage. (aiōn )
To the eternal King, ever-living, invisible, the one God, be ascribed honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
18 Hagi magoke tamentinti nehu'a mofavre Timotiga, ama avompima kre negamua nanekegu, kagesa antahio. Ko'ma mago'mofoma Anumzamofo naneke asamigeno, kagriku huama hu'nea kasnampa kefi hankavetinka Rantimofo ha'pina, knare hunka hara huo.
This, then, is the charge that I lay on you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with what was predicted of you – Fight the good fight in the spirit of those predictions,
19 Kamentintia azeri hanavetinenka, kagu kagesareti knare antahintahi huo.
with faith, and with a clear conscience; and it is because they have thrust this aside, that, as regards the faith, some have wrecked their lives.
20 Ana agu'afina Haimenasi ene Aleksandake, e'inahu avamera hu'na'e. Ananku hu'na Sata azampi zanante'noe, Sata'a kna nezanaminke'ne rempi huteke, Anumzamofo agi'amofona azanva kea huontesa'e hu'na hu'noe.
Hymenaeus and Alexander are instances – the men whom I delivered over to Satan so that they might be taught not to blaspheme.
