Then Nahash the Ammonite came up and encamped against Jabesh Gilead; and all the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, “Make a covenant with us, and we will serve you.”

The elders of Jabesh said to him, “Give us seven days, that we may send messengers to all the borders of Israel; and then, if there is no one to save us, we will come out to you.”
4 Hagi Nahasi'ma ana kere'ma hu izo'ma hige'za, Jabesi vahe'mo'za mago'a vahe huzamantage'za Soli kumatega Gibea kea eri'za vu'naze. Hagi ana ke'ma ome nezamasamige'za, miko vahe'mo'za nentahi'za ranke hu'za zavira ate'naze.
Then the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul, and spoke these words in the ears of the people, then all the people lifted up their voice and wept.
5 Hagi anama hu'za zavi krafama nehazageno'a, Soli'a hozaregati eri'zama e'neria bulimakaoma'ane ne-eno eme nezamageno anage hu'ne, naza fore hu'negeta miko vahe'mota zavira netaze, huno zamantahigege'za? Jabesi vahe'mo'za hu'naza kea agrira asami'naze.
Behold, Saul came following the oxen out of the field; and Saul said, “What ails the people that they weep?” They told him the words of the men of Jabesh.
6 Hagi Soli'ma anankema nentahigeno'a Ra Anumzamofo Avamu'mo'a agritera hanavetino egeno, Solina tusi arimpa ahe'ne.
God’s Spirit came mightily on Saul when he heard those words, and his anger burned hot.
7 Hagi Soli'a tare bulimakao'a aheno tagarago huno eri nezamino, ama ame'a erita nevuta, mika Israeli vahera amanage huta nanekea ome zamasamiho. He took a yoke of oxen and cut them in pieces, then sent them throughout all the borders of Israel by the hand of messengers, saying, “Whoever does not come out after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done to his oxen.” The dread of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out as one man.

He counted them in Bezek; and the children of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand.
9 Hagi anama hute'za kema eri'za e'naza vahera amanage hu'za huzmante'naze, oki'na zagema hanatino mareri'nenigeno tamaza hu'zana fore hugahie huta Jabes vahera ome zamasamiho. Hagi ana nanekema eme zamasamizage'za Jabesi vahe'mo'za tusi muse hu'naze.
They said to the messengers who came, “Tell the men of Jabesh Gilead, ‘Tomorrow, by the time the sun is hot, you will be rescued.’” The messengers came and told the men of Jabesh; and they were glad.
10 Anante Jabesi vahe'mo'za Nahasina asami'za, okina tagra atiramisunketa nazano hurantenaku'ma hanaza zana hurantegahaze.
Therefore the men of Jabesh said, “Tomorrow we will come out to you, and you shall do with us all that seems good to you.”
11 Hagi kora otu'negeno nanterame Soli'a sondia vahera 3'a kevu refako hige'za, Amori vahe kumapi ufre'za ha' huzmante'za bainati kazinknonteti zamahe'za rukafri makafri nehazageno vuno feruse'ne. Ana hazage'za osi'ama maniza Amori vahe'mo'za panani hu'za ufre efre hu'naze.
On the next day, Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the middle of the camp in the morning watch, and struck the Ammonites until the heat of the day. Those who remained were scattered, so that no two of them were left together.
12 Hagi ana hute'za Samuelina antahige'za, ina vahe'mo'za hu'za Soli'a kva huorantegahie hu'za hu'naze? Zamavreta amare enketa zamahe frimneno.
The people said to Samuel, “Who is he who said, ‘Shall Saul reign over us?’ Bring those men, that we may put them to death!”
13 Hianagi Soli'a kenona huno, magore huta Israeli vahera zamahe ofrigahune. Na'ankure menina Ra Anumzamo'a Israeli vahera zamahokeno zamavare'ne.
Saul said, “No man shall be put to death today; for today the LORD has rescued Israel.”
14 Hagi Samueli'a huno, enketa Gilgali vuta ete mago'ane hu'ama huta Soli'a kini mani'ne huta eri hanavetita vahera zamasamisune.
Then Samuel said to the people, “Come! Let’s go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.”
15 Hige'za miko vahe'mo'za Gilgali vu'za Ra Anumzamofo avuga Soli'a kini mani'ne hu'za mago'ene azeri hanaveti kea hu'naze. Hagi anantega arimpa fru ofa nehu'za, Soli'ene mika Israeli vahe'mo'za tusi musenkase hu'naze.
All the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal. There they offered sacrifices of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.
