After many days, the LORD’s word came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, “Go, show yourself to Ahab; and I will send rain on the earth.”

Elijah went to show himself to Ahab. The famine was severe in Samaria.

As Obadiah was on the way, behold, Elijah met him. He recognized him, and fell on his face, and said, “Is it you, my lord Elijah?”

He answered him, “It is I. Go, tell your lord, ‘Behold, Elijah is here!’”

He said, “How have I sinned, that you would deliver your servant into the hand of Ahab, to kill me?

As the LORD your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you. When they said, ‘He is not here,’ he took an oath of the kingdom and nation that they didn’t find you.

It will happen, as soon as I leave you, that the LORD’s Spirit will carry you I don’t know where; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he can’t find you, he will kill me. But I, your servant, have feared the LORD from my youth.

Now you say, ‘Go, tell your lord, “Behold, Elijah is here”.’ He will kill me.”
15 Hagi anagema higeno'a, Elaija'a amanage huno asami'ne, Amage'ma nentoa Ra Anumzana kasefa huno mani'nea Hihamu'ane Anumzamofo avufi tamage hu'na huvempa huanki'na, menina Ahapuna ome kegahue.
Elijah said, “As the LORD of Armies lives, before whom I stand, I will surely show myself to him today.”
16 Higeno Obadia'a Ahapu ome kenaku vuno ome keno eri fore huteno, ana nanekea asamigeno Ahapu'a Elaija ome kenaku vu'ne.
So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him; and Ahab went to meet Elijah.

When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, “Is that you, you troubler of Israel?”

He answered, “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house, in that you have forsaken the LORD’s commandments and you have followed the Baals.
19 Hagi menina huge'za maka Israeli vahera Karmeli agonare'ma mani'nenure omeri tru nehuta, 450'a Bali havi anumzamofo kasnampa vahe'ene, 400'a Asera havi anumzamofo kasnampa vahetamima Jesebeli'ma neza agampu'ma nehia vahetaminena zamavarenetma eviho.
Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel to Mount Carmel, and four hundred fifty of the prophets of Baal, and four hundred of the prophets of the Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”

So Ahab sent to all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together to Mount Carmel.

Elijah came near to all the people, and said, “How long will you waver between the two sides? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” The people didn’t say a word.

Then Elijah said to the people, “I, even I only, am left as a prophet of the LORD; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred fifty men.

Let them therefore give us two bulls; and let them choose one bull for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, and put no fire under; and I will dress the other bull, and lay it on the wood, and put no fire under it.
24 Hagi ana'ma huteta tamagra anumzantmimofo agi aheta nunamuna hanage'na, nagra Ra Anumzamofo agihe'na nunamuna hugahue. Hagi ina Anumzamo'ma nunamuma antahino tevema tagintesigeno ama ana ofama tesigeta e'i tamage Anumza mani'ne huta hugahune. Anagema higeno'a, maka vahetmimo'za tamage hane hu'za hu'naze.
You call on the name of your god, and I will call on the LORD’s name. The God who answers by fire, let him be God.” All the people answered, “What you say is good.”
25 Hagi ana'ma hazageno'a, Elaija'a amanage huno Bali havi anumzamofo kasanampa vahetminkura hu'ne. Ese'zana tamagra mago bulimakao afu aheta taganavazita kresramna vu itarera anteta anumzantmimofo agia aheta nunamuna hiho. Na'ankure tamagra rama'a mani'naze. Hianagi tevema hanavazi ante'nazarera tevea tagi onteho.
Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one bull for yourselves, and dress it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it.”
26 Hagi anagema hige'za mago bulimakao afu ahe'za taganavaziza kresramna vu itare antete'za, nanterama agafama hu'nazana nunamuna hu'za Bali havi anumzamofo agia nehe'za, kezati'za Bali anumzamoka ketia antahiramio hu'za nehu'za, krafa nehazageno zagemo'a anuntupi evuno feru omese'ne. Hianagi ana nunamu zamirera kenona huozmantegeno, mago zana forera osu'ne. Hagi ana'ma higeno'a, anama tro'ma hu'naza kre sramna vu itamofo tavaonte haruhu'za mareriza tami'za nehu'za avore'za kagi'naze.
They took the bull which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, “Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice, and nobody answered. They leaped about the altar which was made.
27 Hagi zagemo'ma marerino feru'masegeno'a, Elaija'a agafa huno kiza zokago kea amanage huno huzmante'ne. Ranke huta kezatiho. Na'ankure agra anumza mani'ne. Agra feru avana negeno manige, kerirega vuge, kanteno vano huge, avu masege hu'negahianki azeri otiho.
At noon, Elijah mocked them, and said, “Cry aloud, for he is a god. Either he is deep in thought, or he has gone somewhere, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he sleeps and must be awakened.”
28 Anagema hige'za ranke hu'za kezaneti'za mono zmimofo avu'avamo'ma hu'neaza hu'za kazinteti'ene agona zanteti'enena zamavufaga taga hazageno koramo'a herafirami'ne.
They cried aloud, and cut themselves in their way with knives and lances until the blood gushed out on them.
29 Hagi ana nehu'za ranke hu'za avore'za kanegi'zageno, zagemo'a evutragiseno kinaga ofama nehaza knarera evu'ne. Hianagi ana anumzazmimo'a magore huno ke'zazmia antahizamino kenona huozami'ne.
When midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the evening offering; but there was no voice, no answer, and nobody paid attention.
30 Hagi ana'ma higeno'a Elaija'a amanage huno ana maka vahekura hu'ne, Amare erava'o hiho, higeno erava'o hazageno, Ra Anumzamofo Kresramana vu itama eri havizama hutre'nazana eriso'e huno tro hu'ne.
Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me!”; and all the people came near to him. He repaired the LORD’s altar that had been thrown down.
31 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'ma Jekopuma asamino, kagri kagia Israelige hu'za hugahazema huno'ma hu'nere, 12fu'a naga'nofimofo huhamprino 12fu'a have erino,
Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the LORD’s word came, saying, “Israel shall be your name.”
32 Ra Anumzamofo agifi ana kre sramnavu ita tro huteno, ana itamofona 14ni'a lita tima marevaziga avamente tinkana aseno kagi'ne.
With the stones he built an altar in the LORD’s name. He made a trench around the altar large enough to contain two seahs of seed.

He put the wood in order, and cut the bull in pieces and laid it on the wood. He said, “Fill four jars with water, and pour it on the burnt offering and on the wood.”
34 ana hu'za 4'a ranra tintafe afiza bulimakoa ofane tevenena tagi pasuki'naze. Ana'ma hazageno'a, mago'ane ana hiho huno higeza, ete mago'ane ana hazageno, namba 3 zupa ana hiho huno hige'za ete mago'ane tina afi'za bulimakao ofane tevenena tagi pasuki'naze.
He said, “Do it a second time;” and they did it the second time. He said, “Do it a third time;” and they did it the third time.
35 Hagi ana'ma hazageno'a timo'a ana Kresramana vu itafintira hatihati huno tinkama asente'nefina marevite'ne.
The water ran around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water.
36 Hagi kinagama ofama Kresramanama vu knama egeno'a, kre sramnavu itare Elaija'a erava'o huno amanage huno nunamuna hu'ne, Ra Anumzana, Abrahamune, Aisakine, Israeli Anumzamoka, Israeli mopafina Nagrake Anumzana mani'noe hunka nehunka, eri'za vahekamo'nagura Nagra huntogeno maka ama zantamina nehie hunka eriama huo.
At the time of the evening offering, Elijah the prophet came near and said, “LORD, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word.
37 Ra Anumzamoka nunamuni'a antahinamio! Nunamuni'a antahinamige'za ama vahetmimo'za Ra Anumzamoka kagrake Anumzana mani'nenka, tagu'a eri rukre hunka kagrarega tavrentane hu'za ke'za antahiza hugahaze.
Hear me, LORD, hear me, that this people may know that you, LORD, are God, and that you have turned their heart back again.”
38 Anagema nehigeno'a monafinkati hantaka huno Ra Anumzamofo tevemo'a hagna hagna huno eramino, ana bulimakaoma tagnavazino'ma ante'nea afu'ene tevema hanavazi'nea tevene, kresramnavu itama tro hu'nea haveramine, kugusopane, tinkampima marevazi'nea tinena ana maka tevemo'a teno eri hana hu'ne.
Then the LORD’s fire fell and consumed the burnt offering, the wood, the stones, and the dust; and it licked up the water that was in the trench.
39 Hagi maka vahe'mo'za ana zama nege'za zamavugosaregati mopafi mase'za amanage hu'naze, Ra Anumzamo'a Agrake tamage Anumzana mani'ne! Ra Anumzamo'a Agrake tamage Anumzana mani'ne! hu'za hu'naze.
When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces. They said, “The LORD, he is God! The LORD, he is God!”
40 Hagi ana'ma higeno'a Elaija'a amanage hu'ne, Bali havi anumzamofo kasnampa vahetami fresagi, ana maka zamazeriho, hige'za ana maka zamazerizageno Elaija'a ana Bali havi anumzamofo kasnampa vahetmina zamavareno vuno Kisoni timpi ome zamahe fri vagre'ne.
Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal! Don’t let one of them escape!” They seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and killed them there.
41 Ana huteno Elaija'a amanage huno Ahapuna asami'ne, Marerinka ne'zane tinena ome no. Na'ankure rankokrerfa ne-ege'na agasasankea nentahue.
Elijah said to Ahab, “Get up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.”

So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bowed himself down on the earth, and put his face between his knees.
43 Hagi Elaija'a eri'za ne'agura amanage hu'ne, Marerinka hagerima me'nerega omego. Higeno eri'za ne'amo'a marerino ome keteno, ete Elaijante eno amanage eme hu'ne. Mago zana onkoe, huno higeno, Elaija'a 7ni'a zupa vute ete hunka ome ko huno hunte'ne.
He said to his servant, “Go up now and look toward the sea.” He went up and looked, then said, “There is nothing.” He said, “Go again” seven times.
44 Hagi namba 7ni zupa vuno ome keteno eno amanage eme hu'ne, Vahe'mofo azagusagna huno osi hampomo hageri me'nerega efore hige'na koe. Anagema higeno'a, Elaija'a amanage huno hunte'ne, Marerinka Ahapuna amanage hunka ome asamio, Ko ruhiza hanigenka ovnanki karisika'a retro hunka uramio hunka ome asamio.
On the seventh time, he said, “Behold, a small cloud, like a man’s hand, is rising out of the sea.” He said, “Go up, tell Ahab, ‘Get ready and go down, so that the rain doesn’t stop you.’”
45 Hagi osi'a kna manigeno monafina hampomo'a ome rehanintiri higeno, zahomo'a hampona atufeno ne-egeno, tusi ko aru'ne. Hagi Ahapu'a karisi agumpi ame'ama huno marerino, Jezreli kumate vu'naku vu'ne.
In a little while, the sky grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.
46 Ana higeno Ra Anumzamo'a Elaijante azana anteno hanavea amigeno, zaza kena'a repasi hunaga atreno amu nofipi ahenevazino, tusi agareno Ahapuna ome azeri agatenereno Jezreli kumate vu'ne.
The LORD’s hand was on Elijah; and he tucked his cloak into his belt and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.
