1 Hagi ko'ma oruno zagema reno e'nea knamofo namba 3 kafurera, Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno Elaijana asami'ne, vunka kini ne' Ahapuna kavugosa ome averi nehunka, ama mopafina Ra Anumzamo'a kora atrenigeno hago rugahie hunka ome asamio.
And it came to pass, after many days, that, the word of Yahweh, came unto Elijah, in the third year, saying, —Go, shew thyself unto Ahab, that I may send rain upon the face of the ground.
2 Ananke'ma nentahino'a, Ahapu avure vunaku Elaija'a vu'ne. Ana knafina Sameria kaziga tusi agatontonkna fore hu'ne.
And Elijah went, to show himself unto Ahab. Now, the famine, was severe in Samaria.
3 Hagi Ahapu'a noma'amofo kva ne' Obediana kehigeno' e'ne. Obedia'a Ra Anumzamofona koro hunteno, agorga'a nemania nere.
And Ahab had called for Obadiah, who was over his house. Now, Obadiah, was one who revered Yahweh, exceedingly.
4 Hagi Jesebeli'ma Ra Anumzamofo kasnampa vahetmima zamahe vagamaneregeno'a, 100'a kasnampa vahera zamavareno 50'a mago havegampi nezmanteno, 50'a mago havegampi frakizmanteneno, tine ne'zanena zamitere hu'ne.
And so it came to pass, when Jezebel was cutting off the prophets of Yahweh, that Obadiah took a hundred prophets, and hid them by fifties in caves, and sustained them, with bread and water.
5 Hagi Ahapu'a amanage huno Obadiana asami'ne, Maka tinkrahopine aguporamipinena knare trazama me'nenigura haketa, ama hosi afutamine, donki afutamimo'zama fri'zankura zamaza hanunke'za manisageta zamahe ofrisune.
So then Ahab said unto Obadiah, Go, and let us pass throughout the land, unto all the fountains of water, and unto all the ravines, peradventure we may find grass, and save alive horse and mule, and not have more of the beasts cut off.
6 Anage nehuke mago kaziga moparega Ahapu'a agraku vigeno, mago kaziga moparega Obadia'a agraku vu'ne.
So they divided to them the land, to pass through it, —Ahab, went one way, by himself, and, Obadiah, went another way, by himself.
7 Hagi Obadia'a agraku nevuno, Elaijana ome tutagiha hu'ne. Hagi Obedia'ama Elaijama keno antahinoma nehuno'a, avugosaregati mopafi umaseno amanage hu'ne, ranimoka, kagra tamage Elaijago?
And so it was, as Obadiah was on the road, that lo! Elijah, met him, —and he recognised him, and fell upon his face, and said—Now art, thou, my lord Elijah?
8 Higeno Elaija'a amanage hune, Izo nagragi, vunka kvaka'amofona Elaija'a hago e'ne hunka ome asamio.
And he said to him—I, am! Go, say to thy lord: Here, is, Elijah!
9 Anante Obedia'a amanage hu'ne, Eri'za vahekamo'na nagra na'a kumi hugenka, Ahapu'ma nahe frinogura hunenantane?
And he said—How have I sinned, —that, thou, art delivering thy servant into the hand of Ahab, to put me to death?
10 Na'ankure Ra Anumzana kasefa huno mani'nea Anumzanka'amofo avufi tamage hu'na huvempa huankino, kini ne'mo'a maka ama mopafima me'nea kumatmimpina kagrikura hake vagare'ne. By the life of Yahweh thy God, there is no nation or kingdom, whither my lord hath not sent to seek thee, and, when they have said—Nay! he hath taken an oath of the kingdom or the nation, that no one could find thee;
11 Higenka menina nagrikura amanage nehane, Elaija'a ne-e hunka ranka'amofona ome asamio hunka nehane.

so shall it come to pass, as soon as, I, go from thee, that, the spirit of Yahweh, shall carry thee away—whither I know not, and so, when I go in to tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, then will he slay me, —and yet, thy servant, hath revered Yahweh, from my youth.
13 Hagi Jesebeli'ma Ra Anumzamofo kasnampa vahe'tmima zamahe hana'ma nehigenama hu'noa zana, ranimoka onkasami'nazo? Nagra 100'a kasnampa vahetami refko hu'na 50'a mago havegampi fraki zamante'na, mago 50'a mago havegampina fraki zamante'nena ne'zane tinena zamami'noe.
Was it not told my lord, what I did when Jezebel was slaying the prophets of Yahweh, —how I hid, of the prophets of Yahweh, a hundred men—by fifties—in caves, and sustained them with bread and water?
14 Hagi menina kagra hunka Elaija'a hago e'ne hunka ome asamio nehanankina, nagrama ome asami'nugeno eme hakesiama omani'nenankeno'a nahe frigahie.

16 Higeno Obadia'a Ahapu ome kenaku vuno ome keno eri fore huteno, ana nanekea asamigeno Ahapu'a Elaija ome kenaku vu'ne.

And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Now, art, thou, troubling Israel?

So they took the bullock which was given them, and made ready, and called on the name of Baal—from the morning even until the noon, saying—O Baal! answer us. But them was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped about by the altar which had been made.
