1 Osi mofavre'nimota kumi osnazegu ama avona kre'neramue. Hianagi mago vahe'mo'ma kumi'ma haniana, tagrira amu'no netia Nerafa'ene mani'ne, ana nera fatgo ne' Jisas Kraisi'e.
My children, these things I write to you in order that ye may not sin; and if any one sin, we have a patron with the Father, Jesus Christ [the] righteous;

and he is the propitiation for our sins; but not for ours alone, but also for the whole world.

He that says, I know him, and does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;

but whoever keeps his word, in him verily the love of God is perfected. Hereby we know that we are in him.
6 Mago'mo'ma Anumzane mani'noe hanimo'a, Jisasi'ma vano hu'nea kna huno vano hugahie.
He that says he abides in him ought, even as he walked, himself also [so] to walk.
7 Rone'nimota kasefa kasege krenoramuanki, korapa'ma antahi'naza kasege neramasamue. Ana naneke pusante'ma antahi'naze. (Jon 13:34)
Beloved, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment, which ye have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye heard.
8 Mago kazigama antahisazana, kasefa kasege kreneramue, tamage huno Jisasimpine tamagripinena megahie. Na'ankure hanimo'a hago enevigeno, tamage tavi'mo'a remsa hu'ne.
Again, I write a new commandment to you, which thing is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light already shines.
9 Mago'mo'ma masare mani'noe nehuno, Jisasinte amentinti nehia nefuma ha'ma rentesuno'a, hanizampi mani'ne.
He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in the darkness until now.
10 Mago'mo'ma amentinti nehia nefunku avesinentemo'a, masare mani'neankino mago'zamo'a azeri traka osugahie.
He that loves his brother abides in light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him.
11 Mago'mo'ma amentinti nehia nefunku antahi haviza huntesuno'a, hanizampi mani'neno, hanizampi kana nevuno, agra iga nevie ontahi'ne. Na'ankure hanizamo'a avuraga erisu hu'ne.
But he that hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and knows not where he goes, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
12 Osi mofavrenimota ama avoma kre neramuana, Anumzamo'a Jisasi agifi kumitimima apaseramante'negu kreneramue. Na'ankure Agri Agire kumitimia apaseramante'ne.
I write to you, children, because [your] sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
13 Nagra ama avona, tafahemota kre neramue, ko'ma ese agafare mani'nea nera, ko keta antahita hu'naze. Ama avona kasefa vahe'motma kre neramue, ko Satana agatere'naze.
I write to you, fathers, because ye have known him [that is] from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked [one]. I write to you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
14 Nagra ama avona mofavre nagamotarega kre neramue, tamagra ko Nefana keta antahita hu'naze. Ra vahe'motarega ama avona kre neramue, ko'ma ese agafare'ma mani'nea Nera ko keta antahita hu'naze. I have written to you, fathers, because ye have known him [that is] from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and ye have overcome the wicked [one].
15 Ama mopafi avu'ava zanku'ene, mopafi zanku tamesionteho. Mago vahe'mo'ma ama mopagu'ma avesintesuno'a, Nerafa avesi'zamo'a agripina omane'ne.
Love not the world, nor the things in the world. If any one love the world, the love of the Father is not in him;
16 Na'ankure maka mopafi me'neazana, avufamofo avesi'zane, kenunu hu'zane, agraguke antahi'zanena ama mopafizane. Nerafapintira nome-e, hianagi ama mopafinti fore hu'ne.
because all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 Ama mopane, maka'a avesi'zamo'a vagaregahie. Hianagi iza'o Anumzamofo avesi'ma amage'antesimo'a, manivava hugahie. (aiōn g165)
And the world is passing, and its lust, but he that does the will of God abides for eternity. (aiōn g165)
18 Mofavre nagamote, hago vagare knafi one, ko'ma Kraisima huhaviza hunte havige anti Kraisi fore hugahie higetma antahi'naze. Menina Kraisima huhaviza hunte vahera havige enti Kraisi rama'a hago efore hu'naze. E'i anazama keta antahita nehuta, vagare knafi neone huta hugahune.
Little children, it is [the] last hour, and, according as ye have heard that antichrist comes, even now there have come many antichrists, whence we know that it is [the] last hour.
19 Zamagra tagripinti tatre'za vu'naze, hianagi zamagra tagri naga tfana omani'naze. Na'ankure zamagrama tagri naga'ma mani'naresina, zamagra tagrane manizasine. Hu'neanagi zamagra atre'za tagripinti vu'naza zamo'a, taveri hiana, maka'mo'za tagri nagara omani'naze.
They went out from among us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have surely remained with us, but that they might be made manifest that none are of us.
20 Hianagi anage hu'na nehue, Ruotage'ma Hu'nemo, Anumzamo tamagrira huhampri ramantegeta, maka'motma ko antahi'naze.
And ye have [the] unction from the holy [one], and ye know all things.

I have not written to you because ye do not know the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
22 Iza havige vahera mani'ne? Hianagi Jisasinku Kraisi'a omani'ne huno hufrakisimo'a, agra havige anti kraisi nemanino, Nefane Nemofone amefi huntenimo'a, Kraisi ha' vahe mani'ne.
Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is the antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.
23 Iza'o Nemofoma onke'noe huno hufrakisimo'a, Nefana ovare'ne. Aza'o nemofonku huama hanimo'a, Nefana avare'ne.
Whoever denies the Son has not the Father either; he who confesses the Son has the Father also.
24 Hagi tamagra, ko'ma ese'ma antahi'naza tamage kea atrenkeno tamagripina meno, tamagra ko'ma antahinaza mono kemo tamagripi me'nenigeta, anahu kna huta Nemofonte'ene Nefampina manigahaze.
As for you let that which ye have heard from the beginning abide in you: if what ye have heard from the beginning abides in you, ye also shall abide in the Son and in the Father.
And this is the promise which he has promised us, life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
26 Ama ana zanku'ma kre neramuana, reramataga huku'ma nehaza vaheku hu'na kre neramue.
These things have I written to you concerning those who lead you astray:

and yourselves, the unction which ye have received from him abides in you, and ye have not need that any one should teach you; but as the same unction teaches you as to all things, and is true and is not a lie, and even as it has taught you, ye shall abide in him.
28 Hagi menina osi mofavre naganimote, Kraisimpi mani'nenkeno, Agrama efore'ma hanigetma oti hanavenetita, ete esigetma tamagazegura huta korera osugahaze.
And now, children, abide in him, that if he be manifested we may have boldness, and not be put to shame from before him at his coming.
29 Tamagrama ketma antahita Kraisima hanazama fatgoma Agrama hu'nenigetma, tamagranena ko'ma antahi'nazane, iza'o hakare vahepinti'ma fatgo zamavu'zmava hanamokizmia nezmafa manigahie.
If ye know that he is righteous, know that every one who practises righteousness is begotten of him.
