1 ତିବିରିଆ କାଇସର୍ ସୋଡ଼ା ରାଜାନ୍ ସାସନଡାଲେ ପନ୍ଦର ବର୍ସେଙ୍ ଆଡ୍ରେଏନ୍ ଆଡିଡ୍, ପନ୍ତିଅ ପିଲାତନ୍ ଜିଉଦାନ୍ ଆ ରାଜ୍ୟପାଡ଼ ଆରି ଏରୋଦନ୍ ଗାଲିଲିନ୍ ଆ ରାଜ୍ୟପାଡ଼ ଡକୋଏନ୍, ଆରି ଆ ବୋଞାଙନ୍ ପିଲିପନ୍ ଇତୁରିଆନ୍ ଡ ତ୍ରାକୋନିତିନ୍ ଆ ରାଜ୍ୟପାଡ଼, ଆରି ଲୁସାନିଆନ୍ ଅବିଲିନି ଗଡ଼ାନ୍ ଆ ରାଜ୍ୟପାଡ଼ ଡକୋଏନ୍,
In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, while Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, Herod tetrarch of Galilee, his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene,
2 ଆରି ଆନାନନ୍ ଡ କାୟାପାନ୍ ମୁଡ଼ ରାଓଡ଼ା ଡକୋଏଞ୍ଜି, ତିଆଡିଡ୍ ଜିକରିୟନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍ ତବ୍ବୁବ୍ଡାମର୍ ଜନନ୍ ଆମଙ୍ ଆରିଙ୍ରିଙ୍ଲୋଙନ୍ ଇସ୍ୱରନ୍ ଆ ବର୍ନେ ଅଡ଼ୋଲାୟ୍ ।
during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John son of Zechariah in the wilderness.
3 ତିଆସନ୍ ଆନିନ୍ ଜର୍ଦନ ଅଲନ୍ ଆ ତୁୟାୟ୍ରେଙ୍ ଜିର୍ରେ, “ଇର୍ସେବେନ୍ ସିଲଡ୍ ୟର୍ରନ୍ ଆବ୍ୟର୍ବୁଡ୍ଡିନାବା ଆରି ତବ୍ବୁବ୍ଡାନାବା, ଏତ୍ତେଲ୍ଡେନ୍ ଇସ୍ୱରନ୍ ଆମ୍ୱେନ୍ଆଡଙ୍ କେମାତବେନ୍ ।” ଗାମ୍ଲେ ମନ୍ରାଞ୍ଜିଆଡଙ୍ ଇୟ୍ଲେ ଅପ୍ପୁଙ୍ବରେଜି ।
He went into all the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,
4 ପୁର୍ବାଃତେ ବର୍ନେମର୍ ଜିସାୟନ୍ ଆ ସାସ୍ତ୍ରଲୋଙ୍ ଏଙ୍ଗାଲେ ଆଇଡିଡନ୍ ଡକୋ, “ଆରିଙ୍ରିଙ୍ଲୋଙନ୍ ଆକ୍ରାନ୍ ଆବ୍ରାବ୍ବାବ୍ତେନ୍ ଅବୟ୍ ମନ୍ରାନ୍ ଆ ସର୍ରଙ୍ ସଡ୍ଡାତେ, ‘ପ୍ରବୁନ୍ ଆସନ୍ ତଙର୍ ଅବ୍ଜାଡାବା, ଆନିନ୍ ଆସନ୍ ରୋତ୍ତନ୍ ବିଙୟ୍ବା;
as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.
5 ଅଡ଼୍କୋ ଗର୍ଡଞ୍ଜି ବବ୍ରିୟ୍ତନେ, ଆରି ଅଡ଼୍କୋ ବରୁଞ୍ଜି ଡ ତଡ଼କୁବଞ୍ଜି ଅବ୍ଜାୟ୍ତାତନେ, ଆବାଙ୍କଡ଼ୋନ୍ ଆ ତଙର୍ଜି ବିଙୟ୍ତେ, ଆରି ତୋଣ୍ଡୋ ଜାୟ୍ତାନ୍ ଆ ଲବଜି ଗରିଡମ୍ ଆ ତଙର୍ ଡେତେ;
Every valley shall be filled in, and every mountain and hill made low. The crooked ways shall be made straight, and the rough ways smooth.
6 ଆରି, ଅଡ଼୍କୋ ମନ୍ରାନ୍ ଇସ୍ୱରନ୍ ଆନୁର୍ ଗିୟ୍ତଜି ।’”
And all humanity will see God’s salvation.’”
7 ତିଆସନ୍, ଜନନ୍ ଆମଙ୍ ତବ୍ବୁବ୍ଡାନେନ୍ ଆସନ୍ ଡୁଙ୍ଲନ୍ ଆଜିର୍ରାଞଞ୍ଜି ଆ ମନ୍ରାଜିଆଡଙ୍ ଗିୟ୍ଲେ ଆନିନ୍ ବର୍ରନେ, “ଏ ବିସଜଡନ୍ ଆଅନ୍ଜି, ବିଅଜି ଆଜିର୍ତାଞନ୍ ଆ ବନ୍ଡ୍ରାବ୍ ସିଲଡ୍ ଅବ୍ବଡ଼ୁର୍ନେନ୍ ଆସନ୍ ଆନା ଆମ୍ୱେଞ୍ଜିଆଡଙ୍ ଅବ୍ସେତ୍ତାଲବେନ୍?
Then John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
8 ତିଆସନ୍ ଇର୍ସେନ୍ ସିଲଡ୍ ୟର୍ରନ୍ ଆବ୍ୟର୍ବୁଡ୍ଡିଜନ୍ ଅବ୍ଜଅନାବା; ଆରି, ଅବ୍ରାମନ୍ ପୁର୍ବା ଜୋଜୋଲେନ୍ ଗାମ୍ଲେ ମନ୍ନଲୋଙ୍ବେନ୍ ନିୟ୍ ଏନ୍ନେଲେ ଏବର୍ଡଙ୍ନେ; ଇନିଆସନ୍ଗାମେଣ୍ଡେନ୍ ଞେନ୍ ଆମ୍ୱେଞ୍ଜିଆଡଙ୍ ବର୍ତବେନ୍, ଇସ୍ୱରନ୍ କେନ୍ ଅରେଙଞ୍ଜି ସିଲଡ୍ ନିୟ୍ ଅବ୍ରାମନ୍ ଆସନ୍ ପସିଜନ୍ ଅମ୍ଡୁଙ୍ଲେ ରପ୍ତିତେ ।
Produce fruit, then, in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
9 ଆରି, ନମି ନିୟ୍ ଅରାନୁବଞ୍ଜି ଆଜଡ୍ଲୋଙ୍ ଏଞ୍ଜୁମନ୍ ଆଡକ୍କୋ; ତିଆସନ୍ ଅଙ୍ଗା ଅରାନୁବ୍ ମନଙ୍ ଅଃନ୍ନଜଏ, ତିଆତେ ଅଡ୍ଲେ ତଗୋଲୋଙନ୍ ପନିଡନ୍ ଡେତେ ।”
The axe lies ready at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”
10 ସିଲତ୍ତେ ମନ୍ରାଞ୍ଜି ଜନନ୍ଆଡଙ୍ ବରେଞ୍ଜି, “ଏତ୍ତେଲ୍ଡେନ୍ ଇନ୍ଲେଞ୍ଜି ଇନି ଏଏଙ୍ଗାନାୟ୍?”
The crowds asked him, “What then should we do?”
11 ଜନନ୍ ଆନିଞ୍ଜିଆଡଙ୍ ଜାଲଙେଞ୍ଜି, “ଆନା ଆମଙ୍ ବାଗୁ ଅଙ୍ଗିନ୍ ଡକୋ, ଆନିନ୍ ଅଙ୍ଗା ମନ୍ରା ଆମଙ୍ ଅଙ୍ଗି ତଡ୍ ଆନିନ୍ଆଡଙ୍ ଅବୟ୍ ତିଏତୋ; ଆରି, ଆନା ଆମଙ୍ ଜନୋମ୍ଜୋମନ୍ ଡକୋ, ଆନିନ୍ ନିୟ୍ ଏତ୍ତେଲେ ଲୁମେତୋ ।”
John replied, “Whoever has two tunics should share with him who has none, and whoever has food should do the same.”
12 ପାନୁବେଡ୍ମରଞ୍ଜି ନିୟ୍ ତବ୍ବୁବ୍ଡାନେବାନ୍ ଇୟ୍ଲେ ଜନନ୍ଆଡଙ୍ ଇୟ୍ଲାୟ୍ ବରେଜି, “ଏ ଞନଙ୍ତିୟ୍ମର୍, ଇନ୍ଲେଞ୍ଜି ଇନି ଏଏଙ୍ଗାନାୟ୍?”
Even tax collectors came to be baptized. “Teacher,” they asked, “what should we do?”
13 ଆରି, ଜନନ୍ ଆନିଞ୍ଜିଆଡଙ୍ ବରେଞ୍ଜି, “ଆମ୍ୱେଞ୍ଜି ଆସନ୍ ପାନୁନ୍ ଡିଅଙ୍ଗା ଆଗବ୍ରି, ଡିୟ୍ତେ ମା ବେଡ୍ବେଡ୍ବା, ଡିୟ୍ତେ ସିଲଡ୍ ଆରି ଗୋଗୋୟ୍ ଏବେଡ୍ବେଡ୍ଡଙ୍ ।”
“Collect no more than you are authorized,” he answered.
14 ସିପ୍ପାୟଞ୍ଜି ନିୟ୍ ଜନନ୍ଆଡଙ୍ ଇୟ୍ଲାୟ୍ ବରେଜି, “ଇନ୍ଲେଞ୍ଜି ଇନି ଏଏଙ୍ଗାନାୟ୍?” ଜନନ୍ ଆନିଞ୍ଜିଆଡଙ୍ ବରେଞ୍ଜି, “ବବ୍ତଙ୍ଡାଲେ ଆନ୍ନିଙ୍ ଆ ଡାବ୍ବୋ ଏପାଙ୍ଡଙାୟ୍ କି କଣ୍ଡାୟ୍ଡାଲେ ଆନ୍ନିଙ୍ଆଡଙ୍ ଏବ୍ଡୋସାଡଙ୍, ଆରି ବର୍ତନ୍ନାଲୋଙ୍ବେନ୍ ସରି ଗାମ୍ଲେ ଡକୋନାବା ।”
Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?” “Do not take money by force or false accusation,” he said. “Be content with your wages.”
15 ମନ୍ରାଞ୍ଜି ଜଗେଲେ ଆଡ୍ରକୋଲଞ୍ଜି ଡ ଅସମୟ୍ କେନ୍ଆନିନ୍ ଜାଆରୋ କ୍ରିସ୍ଟନ୍ ଗାମ୍ଲେ, ଜନନ୍ ଆସନ୍ ଅଡ଼୍କୋ ମନ୍ରାନ୍ ଆମନ୍ନଲୋଙଞ୍ଜି ଏନ୍ନେଲେ ଇୟମେଞ୍ଜି,
The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John could be the Christ.
16 ତିଆସନ୍ ତବ୍ବୁବ୍ଡାମର୍ ଜନନ୍ ଅଡ଼୍କୋ ମନ୍ରାଞ୍ଜିଆଡଙ୍ ବରେଞ୍ଜି, “ଞେନ୍ ସିନା ଆମ୍ବେଞ୍ଜିଆଡଙ୍ ଡାଆଲୋଙନ୍ ତବ୍ବୁବ୍ଡାନ୍ ତିୟ୍ତବେନ୍, ବନ୍ଡ ଞେନ୍ ସିଲଡ୍ ଆନା ଗୋଗୋୟ୍ ସୋଡ଼ା, ଆନିନ୍ ଜିର୍ତାୟ୍, ଆ ତାଲ୍ଜଙନ୍ ଆ ପାଣ୍ଡୋୟ୍ ଆ ଜନିବାଡ୍ ଉଜୁଜନ୍ ଆସନ୍ ଞେନ୍ ଜିଞ୍ଜିନ୍ ତଡ୍; ଆନିନ୍ ଆମ୍ୱେଞ୍ଜିଆଡଙ୍ ମଡ଼ିର୍ ପୁରାଡ଼ାନ୍ ଡ ତଗୋଲୋଙନ୍ ତବ୍ବୁବ୍ଡାନ୍ ତିୟ୍ତବେନ୍ ।
John answered all of them: “I baptize you with water, but One more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
17 ଆସିଲୋଙନ୍ ଅୟ୍ୟେରନ୍ ଡକୋ, ତିଆସନ୍ ଆନିନ୍ ତନିଲ୍ଲୋଙନ୍ ଆ ଜନ୍ରୋମ୍ ଗୁମ୍ଗୁମ୍ଡାଲେ ଆ ମରଁୟ୍ଲୋଙନ୍ ତର୍ତୁମ୍ଲେ ଡକ୍କୋତେ, ଆରି ଆପୋନ୍ଲାଞ୍ଜିଆତେ ଆନିନ୍ ଅଃପ୍ପଞିଡେନ୍ ଆ ତଗୋଲୋଙ୍ ସୟ୍ଲେ ସେତ୍ତେ ।”
His winnowing fork is in His hand to clear His threshing floor and to gather the wheat into His barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
18 ଆନିନ୍ ଏନ୍ନେଲେ ଗୋଗୋୟ୍ଡମ୍ ମନଙ୍ବରଞ୍ଜି ବର୍ରନେ, ଆରି ଆନ୍ନା ଆନ୍ନା ଅନୁୟୁବ୍ ବର୍ନେଞ୍ଜି ବର୍ରନ୍ ମନ୍ରାଞ୍ଜି ଆମଙ୍ ମନଙ୍ବରନ୍ ଅପ୍ପୁଙ୍ବରେଞ୍ଜି; ସିଲଡ୍ଲ୍ଲନ୍ ଆବ୍ୟର୍ବୁଡ୍ଡିନେନ୍ ଆସନ୍ ଆନିନ୍ ମନ୍ରାଞ୍ଜିଆଡଙ୍ ବରେଞ୍ଜି ।
With these and many other exhortations, John proclaimed the good news to the people.
19 ଆରି ଜନନ୍ ଏରୋଦ ରାଜ୍ୟପାଡ଼ନ୍ଆଡଙ୍ ଆକ୍ରାନ୍ ଇୟ୍ଲେ କଞେ, ଇନିଆସନ୍ଗାମେଣ୍ଡେନ୍ ଏରୋଦନ୍ ଆ ବୋଞାଙନ୍ ଆ ଡୁକ୍ରି ଏରୋଦିଆନ୍ଆଡଙ୍ ଡକ୍କୋଏନ୍ ଆରି ଜବ୍ର ପରାନ୍ସାତ୍ତିଲୁମଞ୍ଜି ଲୁମେନ୍ ।
But when he rebuked Herod the tetrarch regarding his brother’s wife Herodias and all the evils he had done,
20 ତିଆସନ୍ ଏରୋଦନ୍ ଜନନ୍ଆଡଙ୍ ବଣ୍ଡିସିଂଲୋଙନ୍ ଡକ୍କୋଡାଲେ, ଅଡ଼୍କୋନ୍ ଆ ଡୋସାନ୍ ବୟନ୍ କେନ୍ଆତେ ନିୟ୍ ଅବ୍ମାୟ୍ମାୟେନ୍ ।
Herod added this to them all: He locked John up in prison.
21 ଅଡ଼୍କୋ ମନ୍ରାନ୍ ତବ୍ବୁବ୍ଡାଲଞ୍ଜି, ସିଲଡ୍ଲ୍ଲନ୍ ଜିସୁନ୍ ନିୟ୍ ତବ୍ବୁବ୍ଡାଲନେ, ଆରି ଆନିନ୍ ଆ ପାର୍ତନାଲନେନ୍ ଆଡିଡ୍ ରୁଆଙନ୍ ରୋଲନେ,
When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as He was praying, heaven was opened,
22 ଆରି ମଡ଼ିର୍ ପୁରାଡ଼ାନ୍ ଡଅଙନ୍ ଆ ଗନିୟ୍ଗିୟ୍ଲୋଙ୍ କୁକ୍କୁରନ୍ ଅନ୍ତମ୍ ଜିସୁନ୍ ଆ ଡଅଙ୍ଲୋଙ୍ ଇୟ୍ଲାୟ୍ ତାର୍ଡୋୟ୍ନେ; ଆରି, ରୁଆଙନ୍ ସିଲଡ୍ କେନ୍ ଆ ବର୍ନେ ଅଡ଼ୋଲାୟ୍, “ଆମନ୍ ଡନୁଙ୍ୟମ୍ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍ଞେନ୍, ଅମଙ୍ନମ୍ ଞେନ୍ ଗୋଗୋୟ୍ ମଅଁୟ୍ଡାତିଁୟ୍ ।”
and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in a bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”
23 ଜିସୁନ୍ କାବ୍ବାଡ଼ାନ୍ ଆରୁଲନେନ୍ ଆଡିଡ୍ ଆନିନ୍ ତିରିସି ବର୍ସେଙ୍ ଡେଏନ୍; ମନ୍ରାଞ୍ଜି ଆ ବର୍ନେ ଅନ୍ତମ୍ ଜିସୁନ୍ ଜୋସେପନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍; ଜୋସେପନ୍ ଏଲିନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍,
Jesus Himself was about thirty years old when He began His ministry. He was regarded as the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,
24 ଏଲିନ୍ ମତାତନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ମତାତନ୍ ଲେବିନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଲେବିନ୍ ମଲ୍କିନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ମଲ୍କିନ୍ ଜନ୍ନୟନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଜନ୍ନୟନ୍ ଜୋସେପନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍,
the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Jannai, the son of Joseph,
25 ଜୋସେପନ୍ ମତ୍ତିତ୍ୟାନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ମତ୍ତିତ୍ୟାନ୍ ଆମୋସନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଆମୋସନ୍ ନାଉମନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ନାଉମନ୍ ଏସ୍ମିନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଏସ୍ମିନ୍ ନଗୟନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍,
the son of Mattathias, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli, the son of Naggai,
26 ନଗୟନ୍ ମଅତନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ମଅତନ୍ ମତ୍ତିତ୍ୟାନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ମତ୍ତିତ୍ୟାନ୍ ସିମୟିନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ସିମୟିନ୍ ଜୋସେକନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଜୋସେକନ୍ ଜୋଦାନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍,
the son of Maath, the son of Mattathias, the son of Semein, the son of Josech, the son of Joda,
27 ଜୋଦାନ୍ ଜନନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଜନନ୍ ରେସାନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ରେସାନ୍ ଜିରୁବାବେଲନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଜିରୁବାବେଲନ୍ ସଲ୍ଟିୟେଲନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ସଲ୍ଟିୟେଲନ୍ ନେରିନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍,
the son of Joanan, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri,
28 ନେରିନ୍ ମଲ୍କିନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ମଲ୍କିନ୍ ଅଦ୍ଦିନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଅଦ୍ଦିନ୍ କୋସାମନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, କୋସାମନ୍ ଏଲ୍ମଦାନନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଏଲ୍ମଦାନନ୍ ଏରନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍,
the son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmadam, the son of Er,
29 ଏରନ୍ ଜିଓସୟନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଜିଓସୟନ୍ ଏଲିଆଜରନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଏଲିଆଜରନ୍ ଜୋରିମନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଜୋରିମନ୍ ମତାତନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ମତାତନ୍ ଲେବିନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍,
the son of Joshua, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi,
30 ଲେବିନ୍ ସିମନନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ସିମନନ୍ ଜିଉଦାନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଜିଉଦାନ୍ ଜୋସେପନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଜୋସେପନ୍ ଜୋନାମନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍, ଜୋନାମନ୍ ଏଲିଆକିମନ୍ ଆ ଡାଙ୍ଗଡ଼ାଅନ୍,
the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonam, the son of Eliakim,
