マルコの福音書 9
1 イエスは彼らに言われた。「まことに、あなたがたに告げます。ここに立っている人々の中には、神の国が力をもって到来しているのを見るまでは、決して死を味わわない者がいます。」
And he said to them, Truly I say to you, there are some of those who have stood here, who will, no, not taste of death until they see the kingdom of God come in power.
2 それから六日たって、イエスは、ペテロとヤコブとヨハネだけを連れて、高い山に導いて行かれた。そして彼らの目の前で御姿が変わった。
And after six days Jesus takes Peter and James and John, and leads them up onto a high mountain alone, in private. And he was transfigured before them,
3 その御衣は、非常に白く光り、世のさらし屋では、とてもできないほどの白さであった。
and his garments became glistening, exceedingly white, as snow, such as no fuller on earth is able to whiten.
4 また、エリヤが、モーセとともに現われ、彼らはイエスと語り合っていた。
And Elijah with Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.
5 すると、ペテロが口出ししてイエスに言った。「先生。私たちがここにいることは、すばらしいことです。私たちが、幕屋を三つ造ります。あなたのために一つ、モーセのために一つ、エリヤのために一つ。」
And having responded, Peter says to Jesus, Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. And we could make three tabernacles: one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
6 実のところ、ペテロは言うべきことがわからなかったのである。彼らは恐怖に打たれたのであった。
For he knew not what he would say, for they were frightened.
7 そのとき雲がわき起こってその人々をおおい、雲の中から、「これは、わたしの愛する子である。彼の言うことを聞きなさい。」という声がした。
And a cloud developed overshadowing them. And a voice came out of the cloud, This is my beloved Son. Hear ye him.
8 彼らが急いであたりを見回すと、自分たちといっしょにいるのはイエスだけで、そこにはもはやだれも見えなかった。
And suddenly having looked around, they saw no man anymore, but only Jesus with themselves.
9 さて、山を降りながら、イエスは彼らに、人の子が死人の中からよみがえるときまでは、いま見たことをだれにも話してはならない、と特に命じられた。
And as they were coming down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no man what they saw, except when the Son of man will rise from the dead.
10 そこで彼らは、そのおことばを心に堅く留め、死人の中からよみがえると言われたことはどういう意味かを論じ合った。
And they kept the saying to themselves, discussing what is the rising from the dead.
11 彼らはイエスに尋ねて言った。「律法学者たちは、まずエリヤが来るはずだと言っていますが、それはなぜでしょうか。」
And they questioned him, saying, The scholars say that Elijah must first come.
12 イエスは言われた。「エリヤがまず来て、すべてのことを立て直します。では、人の子について、多くの苦しみを受け、さげすまれると書いてあるのは、どうしてなのですか。
And having answered, he said to them, Elijah indeed comes first and restores all. And how it is written for the Son of man, that he would suffer many things and be rejected.
13 しかし、あなたがたに告げます。エリヤはもう来たのです。そして人々は、彼について書いてあるとおりに、好き勝手なことを彼にしたのです。」
But I say to you, that Elijah has also come, and they did to him as much as they wanted, just as it is written for him.
14 さて、彼らが、弟子たちのところに帰って来て、見ると、その回りに大ぜいの人の群れがおり、また、律法学者たちが弟子たちと論じ合っていた。
And when they came to the disciples he saw a great multitude around them, and scholars disputing with them.
15 そしてすぐ、群衆はみな、イエスを見ると驚き、走り寄って来て、あいさつをした。
And straightaway all the multitude, having noticed him, were startled. And running near they greeted him.
16 イエスは彼らに、「あなたがたは弟子たちと何を議論しているのですか。」と聞かれた。
And he questioned the scholars, What are ye disputing with them?
17 すると群衆のひとりが、イエスに答えて言った。「先生。おしの霊につかれた私の息子を、先生のところに連れてまいりました。
And having answered, one from the multitude said, Teacher, I brought my son to thee, who has a mute spirit.
18 その霊が息子に取りつきますと、所かまわず彼を押し倒します。そして彼はあわを吹き、歯ぎしりして、からだをこわばらせてしまいます。それでお弟子たちに、霊を追い出してくださるようにお願いしたのですが、お弟子たちにはできませんでした。」
And wherever it seizes him, it tears him, and he foams, and gnashes his teeth, and becomes limp. And I spoke to thy disciples that they might cast it out, and they were not able.
19 イエスは答えて言われた。「ああ、不信仰な世だ。いつまであなたがたといっしょにいなければならないのでしょう。いつまであなたがたにがまんしていなければならないのでしょう。その子をわたしのところに連れて来なさい。」
And having answered him, he says, O faithless generation, how long will I be with you? How long will I endure you? Bring him to me.
20 そこで、人々はイエスのところにその子を連れて来た。その子がイエスを見ると、霊はすぐに彼をひきつけさせたので、彼は地面に倒れ、あわを吹きながら、ころげ回った。
And they brought him to him. And when he saw him, straightaway the spirit convulsed him. And having fallen on the ground, he wallowed, foaming.
21 イエスはその子の父親に尋ねられた。「この子がこんなになってから、どのくらいになりますか。」父親は言った。「幼い時からです。
And he questioned his father, How much time is it since this has happened to him? And he said, From childhood.
22 この霊は、彼を滅ぼそうとして、何度も火の中や水の中に投げ込みました。ただ、もし、おできになるものなら、私たちをあわれんで、お助けください。」
And it often casts him both into the fire and into the waters so that it might destroy him. But if thou can do anything, help us, having compassion toward us.
23 するとイエスは言われた。「できるものなら、と言うのか。信じる者には、どんなことでもできるのです。」
And Jesus said to him, If thou are able to believe, all things are possible to him who believes.
24 するとすぐに、その子の父は叫んで言った。「信じます。不信仰な私をお助けください。」
And straightaway the father of the child having cried out, he said with tears, I believe. Lord, help thou my unbelief.
25 イエスは、群衆が駆けつけるのをご覧になると、汚れた霊をしかって言われた。「おしとつんぼの霊。わたしが、おまえに命じる。この子から出て行きなさい。二度と、はいってはいけない。」
And when Jesus saw that a crowd was running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, Thou mute and deaf spirit, I command thee to come out of him, and enter into him no more.
26 するとその霊は、叫び声をあげ、その子を激しくひきつけさせて、出て行った。するとその子が死人のようになったので、多くの人々は、「この子は死んでしまった。」と言った。
And having cried out, and having convulsed him much, it came out. And he became as if dead, so as for many to say that he was dead.
27 しかし、イエスは、彼の手を取って起こされた。するとその子は立ち上がった。
But having taken him by the hand, Jesus lifted him up, and he arose.
28 イエスが家にはいられると、弟子たちがそっとイエスに尋ねた。「どうしてでしょう。私たちには追い出せなかったのですが。」
And when he came into the house, his disciples questioned him privately, We were not able to cast it out.
29 すると、イエスは言われた。「この種のものは、祈りによらなければ、何によっても追い出せるものではありません。」
And he said to them, This kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting.
30 さて、一行はそこを去って、ガリラヤを通って行った。イエスは、人に知られたくないと思われた。
And having departed from there, they passed through Galilee, and he did not want that any man would know it.
31 それは、イエスは弟子たちを教えて、「人の子は人々の手に引き渡され、彼らはこれを殺す。しかし、殺されて、三日の後に、人の子はよみがえる。」と話しておられたからである。
For he taught his disciples, and said to them, The Son of man is delivered up into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And after being killed, he will rise the third day.
32 しかし、弟子たちは、このみことばが理解できなかった。また、イエスに尋ねるのを恐れていた。
But they did not understand the saying, and were afraid to question him.
33 カペナウムに着いた。イエスは、家にはいった後、弟子たちに質問された。「道で何を論じ合っていたのですか。」
And he came to Capernaum. And having become in the house he questioned them, What were ye deliberating among yourselves on the way?
34 彼らは黙っていた。道々、だれが一番偉いかと論じ合っていたからである。
But they were silent, for on the way they discussed among each other, who is greater.
35 イエスはおすわりになり、十二弟子を呼んで、言われた。「だれでも人の先に立ちたいと思うなら、みなのしんがりとなり、みなに仕える者となりなさい。」
And having sat down, he called the twelve, and he says to them, If any man wants to be first, he will be last of all, and helper of all.
36 それから、イエスは、ひとりの子どもを連れて来て、彼らの真中に立たせ、腕に抱き寄せて、彼らに言われた。
And having taken a child, he set it in the midst of them. And after embracing it, he said to them,
37 「だれでも、このような幼子たちのひとりを、わたしの名のゆえに受け入れるならば、わたしを受け入れるのです。また、だれでも、わたしを受け入れるならば、わたしを受け入れるのではなく、わたしを遣わされた方を受け入れるのです。」
Whoever may receive one of such children in my name, receives me, and whoever may receive me, does not receive me, but him who sent me.
38 ヨハネがイエスに言った。「先生。先生の名を唱えて悪霊を追い出している者を見ましたが、私たちの仲間ではないので、やめさせました。」
And John answered him, saying, Teacher, we saw a certain man, who does not follow us, casting out demons in thy name, and we forbade him, because he does not follow us.
39 しかし、イエスは言われた。「やめさせることはありません。わたしの名を唱えて、力あるわざを行ないながら、すぐあとで、わたしを悪く言える者はないのです。
But Jesus said, Forbid him not, for there is no man who will do a mighty work in my name, and will be able quickly to speak evil of me.
40 わたしたちに反対しない者は、わたしたちの味方です。
For he who is not against you is for you.
41 あなたがたがキリストの弟子だからというので、あなたがたに水一杯でも飲ませてくれる人は、決して報いを失うことはありません。これは確かなことです。
For whoever may give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye are of Christ, truly I say to you, he will, no, not lose his reward.
42 また、わたしを信じるこの小さい者たちのひとりにでもつまずきを与えるような者は、むしろ大きい石臼を首にゆわえつけられて、海に投げ込まれたほうがましです。
And whoever may cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it is good for him instead, if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
43 もし、あなたの手があなたのつまずきとなるなら、それを切り捨てなさい。不具の身でいのちにはいるほうが、両手そろっていてゲヘナの消えぬ火の中に落ち込むよりは、あなたにとってよいことです。 (Geenna g1067)
And if thy hand may cause thee to stumble, cut it off. It is good for thee to enter into life maimed, than having thy two hands to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire, (Geenna g1067)
where their worm does not perish, and the fire is not quenched.
45 もし、あなたの足があなたのつまずきとなるなら、それを切り捨てなさい。片足でいのちにはいるほうが、両足そろっていてゲヘナに投げ入れられるよりは、あなたにとってよいことです。 (Geenna g1067)
And if thy foot may cause thee to stumble, cut it off. It is good for thee to enter into life crippled, than having thy two feet to be cast into hell, into the unquenchable fire (Geenna g1067)
where their worm does not perish, and the fire is not quenched.
47 もし、あなたの目があなたのつまずきを引き起こすのなら、それをえぐり出しなさい。片目で神の国にはいるほうが、両目そろっていてゲヘナに投げ入れられるよりは、あなたにとってよいことです。 (Geenna g1067)
And if thine eye may cause thee to stumble, pluck it out. It is good for thee to enter into the kingdom of God one-eyed, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the hell of fire, (Geenna g1067)
48 そこでは、彼らを食ううじは、尽きることがなく、火は消えることがありません。
where their worm does not perish, and the fire is not quenched.
49 すべては、火によって、塩けをつけられるのです。
For every man will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be salted with salt material.
50 塩は、ききめのあるものです。しかし、もし塩に塩けがなくなったら、何によって塩けを取り戻せましょう。あなたがたは、自分自身のうちに塩けを保ちなさい。そして、互いに和合して暮らしなさい。」
The salt material is good, but if the salt material becomes saltless, by what will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace among each other.
