ルカの福音書 21
1 さてイエスが、目を上げてご覧になると、金持ちたちが献金箱に献金を投げ入れていた。
He looked up, and saw the rich people who were putting their gifts into the treasury.
2 また、ある貧しいやもめが、そこにレプタ銅貨二つを投げ入れているのをご覧になった。
He saw a certain poor widow casting in two lepta.
3 それでイエスは言われた。「わたしは真実をあなたがたに告げます。この貧しいやもめは、どの人よりもたくさん投げ入れました。
He said, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow put in more than all of them,
4 みなは、あり余る中から献金を投げ入れたのに、この女は、乏しい中から、持っていた生活費の全部を投げ入れたからです。」
for all these put in gifts from their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, put in all that she had to live on."
5 宮がすばらしい石や奉納物で飾ってあると話していた人々があった。するとイエスはこう言われた。
As some were talking about the temple and how it was decorated with beautiful stones and gifts, he said,
6 「あなたがたの見ているこれらの物について言えば、石がくずされずに積まれたまま残ることのない日がやって来ます。」
"As for these things which you see, the days will come, in which there will not be left here one stone on another that will not be thrown down."
7 彼らは、イエスに質問して言った。「先生。それでは、これらのことは、いつ起こるのでしょう。これらのことが起こるときは、どんな前兆があるのでしょう。」
They asked him, "Teacher, so when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are about to happen?"
8 イエスは言われた。「惑わされないように気をつけなさい。わたしの名を名のる者が大ぜい現われ、『私がそれだ。』とか『時は近づいた。』とか言います。そんな人々のあとについて行ってはなりません。
He said, "Watch out that you do not get led astray, for many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Therefore do not follow them.
9 戦争や暴動のことを聞いても、こわがってはいけません。それは、初めに必ず起こることです。だが、終わりは、すぐには来ません。」
When you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified, for these things must happen first, but the end won't come immediately."
10 それから、イエスは彼らに言われた。「民族は民族に、国は国に敵対して立ち上がり、
Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
11 大地震があり、方々に疫病やききんが起こり、恐ろしいことや天からのすさまじい前兆が現われます。
There will be great earthquakes, famines, and plagues in various places. There will be terrors and great signs from heaven.
12 しかし、これらのすべてのことの前に、人々はあなたがたを捕えて迫害し、会堂や牢に引き渡し、わたしの名のために、あなたがたを王たちや総督たちの前に引き出すでしょう。
But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you up to synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name's sake.
13 それはあなたがたのあかしをする機会となります。
It will turn out as a testimony for you.
14 それで、どう弁明するかは、あらかじめ考えないことに、心を定めておきなさい。
Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand how to answer,
15 どんな反対者も、反論もできず、反証もできないようなことばと知恵を、わたしがあなたがたに与えます。
for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or to contradict.
16 しかしあなたがたは、両親、兄弟、親族、友人たちにまで裏切られます。中には殺される者もあり、
You will be handed over even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They will cause some of you to be put to death.
17 わたしの名のために、みなの者に憎まれます。
And you will be hated by everyone because of my name.
18 しかし、あなたがたの髪の毛一筋も失われることはありません。
But not a hair of your head will perish.
19 あなたがたは、忍耐によって、自分のいのちを勝ち取ることができます。
"By your endurance you will win your lives.
20 しかし、エルサレムが軍隊に囲まれるのを見たら、そのときには、その滅亡が近づいたことを悟りなさい。
"But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
21 そのとき、ユダヤにいる人々は山へ逃げなさい。都の中にいる人々は、そこから立ちのきなさい。いなかにいる者たちは、都にはいってはいけません。
Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let those who are in the midst of her depart. Let those who are in the country not enter it.
22 これは、書かれているすべてのことが成就する報復の日だからです。
For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 その日、悲惨なのは身重の女と乳飲み子を持つ女です。この地に大きな苦難が臨み、この民に御怒りが臨むからです。
Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who nurse infants in those days. For there will be great distress in the land, and wrath to this people.
24 人々は、剣の刃に倒れ、捕虜となってあらゆる国に連れて行かれ、異邦人の時の終わるまで、エルサレムは異邦人に踏み荒らされます。
And they will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive into all the nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled down by non-Jewish people until the times are fulfilled. And there will be times of the non-Jewish people.
25 そして、日と月と星には、前兆が現われ、地上では、諸国の民が、海と波が荒れどよめくために不安に陥って悩み、
And there will be signs in the sun, and moon, and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves;
26 人々は、その住むすべての所を襲おうとしていることを予想して、恐ろしさのあまり気を失います。天の万象が揺り動かされるからです。
people will be fainting from fear, and from expectation of the things which are coming on the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27 そのとき、人々は、人の子が力と輝かしい栄光を帯びて雲に乗って来るのを見るのです。
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 これらのことが起こり始めたなら、からだをまっすぐにし、頭を上に上げなさい。贖いが近づいたのです。」
But when these things begin to happen, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near."
29 それからイエスは、人々にたとえを話された。「いちじくの木や、すべての木を見なさい。
He told them a parable. "See the fig tree, and all the trees.
30 木の芽が出ると、それを見て夏の近いことがわかります。
When they are already budding, you see it and know by your own selves that the summer is already near.
31 そのように、これらのことが起こるのを見たら、神の国は近いと知りなさい。
Even so you also, when you see these things happening, know that the Kingdom of God is near.
32 まことに、あなたがたに告げます。すべてのことが起こってしまうまでは、この時代は過ぎ去りません。
Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things are accomplished.
33 この天地は滅びます。しかし、わたしのことばは決して滅びることがありません。
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.
34 あなたがたの心が、放蕩や深酒やこの世の煩いのために沈み込んでいるところに、その日がわなのように、突然あなたがたに臨むことのないように、よく気をつけていなさい。
"So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.
35 その日は、全地の表に住むすべての人に臨むからです。
For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth.
36 しかし、あなたがたは、やがて起ころうとしているこれらすべてのことからのがれ、人の子の前に立つことができるように、いつも油断せずに祈っていなさい。」
Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be able to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man."
37 さてイエスは、昼は宮で教え、夜はいつも外に出てオリーブという山で過ごされた。
Every day Jesus was teaching in the temple, and every night he would go out and spend the night on the mountain that is called Olivet.
38 民衆はみな朝早く起きて、教えを聞こうとして、宮におられるイエスのもとに集まって来た。
All the people came early in the morning to him in the temple to hear him.
