マタイの福音書 19
1 第四項 イエズスエルザレムへの最後の旅行 是等の談を畢りて、イエズス遂にガリレアを去り、ヨルダン[河]の向なるユデアの境に至り給ひしが、
When Jesus had finished these words, he departed from Galilee and came into the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan.
2 群衆夥しく之に從ひければ、其處にて彼等を醫し給へり。
Great multitudes followed him, and he healed them there.
3 ファリザイ人近づきて、彼を試みて云ひけるは、如何なる理由の下にも、人は其妻を出すを得べきか。
Pharisees came to him, testing him and saying, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?”
4 イエズス答へて曰ひけるは、汝等読まざりしか、即元始に人を造り給ひしもの、之を男女に造りて曰はく、
He answered, “Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female,
5 「此故に、人は父母を離れて、其妻に就き兩人一體と成るべし」と、
and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’?
6 然れば既に二人に非ずして一體なり、故に神の配せ給ひしもの、人之を分つべからず、と。
So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.”
7 ファリザイ人云ひけるは、然らば離縁状を與へて妻を出すべし、とモイゼの命ぜしは何ぞや。
They asked him, “Why then did Moses command us to give her a certificate of divorce and divorce her?”
8 答へて曰ひけるは、モイゼは汝等の心の頑固なるが為に、妻を出す事を汝等に許したれど、元始より然はあらざりき。
He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.
9 即我汝等に告ぐ、総て私通の故ならで其妻を出し、他の女を娶る人は姦淫するなり、又出されたる女を娶る人も姦淫するなり、と。
I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries her when she is divorced commits adultery.”
10 弟子等イエズスに向ひ、若人の妻に於る事斯の如くば、娶らざるに若ず、と云ひしかば、
His disciples said to him, “If this is the case of the man with his wife, it is not expedient to marry.”
11 イエズス曰ひけるは、人皆此言を肯容るるには非ず、[肯容るるは]賜はりたる者のみ。
But he said to them, “Not all men can receive this saying, but those to whom it is given.
12 即母の胎内より生れながらの閹者あり、人より為られたる閹者あり、又天國の為に自ら作せる閹者あるなり。肯容るるを得る人は肯容るべし、と。
For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven’s sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it.”
13 時に按手して祈られんが為、孩兒等イエズスに差出されしが、弟子等之を拒みければ、
Then little children were brought to him that he should lay his hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them.
14 イエズス彼等に曰ひけるは、孩兒等を容せ、其我に來るを禁ずること勿れ、天國は斯の如き人の為なればなり、と。
But Jesus said, “Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.”
15 斯て彼等に按手し給ひ、さて此處を去り給へり。
He laid his hands on them, and departed from there.
Behold, one came to him and said, “Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
17 イエズス曰ひけるは、何ぞ善を我に問ふや、善き者は獨のみ、即神なり。但汝若生命に入らんと欲せば掟を守れ、と。
He said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
18 彼、何れ[の掟]ぞや、と云ひしにイエズス曰ひけるは、汝人を殺す勿れ、姦淫する勿れ、偸盗する勿れ、僞證する勿れ、
He said to him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder.’ ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ‘You shall not steal.’ ‘You shall not offer false testimony.’
19 汝の父母を敬へ、又汝の近き者を己の如く愛せよ、と。
‘Honour your father and your mother.’ And, ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’”
20 青年云ひけるは、是皆我幼年より守りし所、猶我に缼けたるは何ぞや。
The young man said to him, “All these things I have observed from my youth. What do I still lack?”
21 イエズス曰ひけるは、汝若完全ならんと欲せば、往きて有てる物を売り、之を貧者に施せ、然らば天に於て寳を得ん、而して來りて我に從へ、と。
Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
22 此言を聞くや青年憂ひて去れり、是多くの財産を有てる者なればなり。
But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he was one who had great possessions.
23 イエズス弟子等に曰ひけるは、我誠に汝等に告ぐ、富者は天國に入り難し、
Jesus said to his disciples, “Most certainly I say to you, a rich man will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven with difficulty.
24 又汝等に告ぐ、駱駝が針の孔を通るは、富者の天國に入るよりも易し、と。
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”
25 弟子等聞きて甚怪しみ、然らば誰か救はるるを得ん、と云ひければ、
When the disciples heard it, they were exceedingly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”
26 イエズス彼等を凝視めつつ曰ひけるは、是人に於ては能はざる所なれども、神に於ては何事も能はざる所なし、と。
Looking at them, Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27 其時ペトロ答へて云ひけるは、然て我等は一切を棄てて汝に從へり、然れば何を得べきぞ、と。
Then Peter answered, “Behold, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?”
28 イエズス彼等に曰ひけるは、我誠に汝等に告ぐ、我に從ひたる汝等は、世革りて人の子其光榮の座に坐せん時、汝等も十二の座に坐して、イスラエルの十二族を審くべし。
Jesus said to them, “Most certainly I tell you that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive one hundred times, and will inherit eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
30 但多く、先なる人は後になり、後なる人は先にならん。
But many will be last who are first, and first who are last.
