エペソ人への手紙 1
1 神の思召によりてイエズス、キリストの使徒たるパウロ、エフェゾに在る（凡ての）聖徒、並にキリスト、イエズスに於る信徒に[書簡を贈る]。
Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, that is, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 願はくは我父にて在す神及び主イエズス、キリストより、恩寵と平安とを汝等に賜はらん事を。
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and Sovereign Jesus Christ.
3 第一項 エフェゾ信徒の為に感謝し祈祷す 第一編 聖會の比なき光榮 祝すべき哉、我主イエズス、キリストの神及び父、是はキリストに於て諸の霊的祝福を以て我等を天より祝し給ひ、
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ;
4 御前に於て聖にして汚なき者たらしめんとて、寵愛を以て、世界開闢以前よりキリストによりて選み給ひ、
just as He[F] chose us in Him[S] before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him[F], in love,
5 思召のまにまに、イエズス、キリストを以て己が子とならしめん事を預定し給ひたればなり。
having predestined us into an adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, into Him[S], according to the good pleasure of His[F] will,
6 是最愛なる御子に於て我等に賜ひし榮光ある恩寵の誉の為なり。
to the praise of the glory of His grace, with which He graced us in the Beloved;
7 我等が贖を得、罪の赦を得るは、キリストに在りて其御血によれり、即ち神の豊なる恩寵に由れるなり。
in whom we have the redemption through His[S] blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His[F] grace,
8 其恩寵我等に溢れて、諸の智恵及び悟を開けり、
that He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and intelligent design,
9 是御旨に從ひて、キリストを以て預定し給ひし思召の奥義を、我等に諭し給はん為なり。
having made known to us the ‘secret’ of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Him[S],
10 此思召は、時期の満つるに及びて一切のもの、即ち天に在るものをも地に在るものをも悉くキリストに於て一の首の下に輯め給ふに在り。
with a view to administering the fullness of the times, so as to bring all things together under one head in Christ—those on the heavens and those on the earth—in Him[S],
11 我等もキリストに於て選まれ、思召す儘に萬事を行ひ給ふものの量に從ひて預定せられたり、
in whom we were also assigned an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him[F] who works all things according to the decision of His will,
12 是先んじてキリストを希望せし我等が、其光榮の誉とならん為なり。
so that we should be to the praise of His glory, we who first trusted in the Christ;
13 汝等も亦キリストに於て、眞理の言なる汝等の救霊の福音を聞き、且之を信じて約束せられ給ひたりし聖霊を以て證印せられしが、
about whom, to be sure, we had heard the true Word—the Gospel of your salvation; by whom, since you also believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14 之汝等の世嗣の保證として、獲られたる人々の贖となり、其光榮の誉と成らん為に賜はりたるなり。
who is the down payment on our inheritance until the release of the possession, to the praise of His glory.
15 故に我も、主イエズスに於る汝等の信仰と、凡ての聖徒に對する愛情とを聞きて、
Because of this, having heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints,
16 不絶汝等の為に感謝し、我祈祷の中に汝等を記念す。
I really do not stop giving thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
17 祈る所は我主イエズス、キリストの神、光榮の父が、汝等に知識と黙示との霊を賜ひて神を識らしめ、
that the God of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the real knowledge of Himself,
18 汝等の心の眼を明にして、其召によれる希望の如何を識らしめ、聖徒等に賜ふべき世嗣の光榮富の如何を識らしめ
the eyes of your heart having been enlightened, that you may know 1) what is the hope of His[F] calling, and 2) what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 其全能の勢力の作為によりて、信奉る我等に於て、其勢力の如何に優れて偉大なるかを識らしめ給はん事是なり。
and 3) what the exceeding greatness of His power into us who are believing, according to the demonstration of the extent of His might
20 其勢力をキリストに於て顕し、之を死者の中より復活せしめ、天に於て之を己の右に置き、
which He exercised in the Christ when He raised Him[S] from among the dead and seated Him at His[F] right, in the heavenly realms,
far above every ruler and authority and power and dominion—even every name that can be named, not only in this age but also in the next. (aiōn g165)
22 萬物を其御足の下に服せしめ、教會の萬事の上に頭となし給へり。
In short, He[F] placed everything under His[S] feet, and appointed Him to be Head over everything in the Church,
23 即ち教會はキリストの御體にして、萬物に萬事を満たし給へるものの充満ち給ふ所なり。
which is His body, the complement of Him who fills everything in every way.
