ヨハネの手紙第一 2
1 我小子よ、是等の事を汝等に書贈るは、汝等が罪を犯さざらん為なり。然れど若罪を犯したる者あらば、我等は父の御前に辯護者を有せり。是即ち義者イエズス、キリストにして、
My little children, I write these things to you, in order that you may not sin. And if any one may sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 彼は我等が罪の贖にて在す、啻に我等の罪のみならず、全世界の罪に對しても亦然るなり。
he is the expiator for our sins: and not ours only, but indeed for the whole world.
3 我等御掟を守る時に、是によりて彼を識り奉れる事を覚る。
And in this we know that we have known him, if we are keeping his commandments.
4 自ら彼を識り奉れりと言ひて御掟を守らざる人は、虚言者にして眞理其衷に在らず。
The one saying, I have known him, and keeping not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;
5 其御言を守る人には、神に對するの愛ありて完全なり。我等は是によりて、己の彼に在る事を覚る。
but whosoever shall keep his word, truly the divine love of God has been made perfect in him. In this we know that we are in him.
6 彼に止り奉ると言ふ人は、己も亦彼が歩み給ひし如くに歩まざるべからず。
The one saying that he abides in him ought himself so to walk about, as he also did walk about.
7 至愛なる者よ、我が汝等に書贈るは新しき掟に非ず、汝等が初より受けたる古き掟にして、古き掟とは汝等の聞きし御言なり。
Beloved, I write no new commandment to you, but the old one which you had from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you have heard.
8 又新しき掟を汝等に書贈る。是は彼に於ても汝等に於ても等しく眞なり、其は暗黒過去りて眞の光既に照ればなり。
Again I do write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you: because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.
9 自ら光に在りと言ひて己が兄弟を憎む人は、今に至るまで暗黒の衷に居るなり。
The one saying that he is in the light, and hating his brother, is in the darkness until now.
10 己が兄弟を愛する人は、光に止まりて、彼には躓く所なし。
The one loving his brother with divine love abides in the light, and there is no stumbling in him.
11 然れど己が兄弟を憎む人は、暗黒に在りて暗黒に歩み、暗黒の為に目を眩されたるが故に、往くべき所を知らざるなり。
But the one hating his brother is in darkness, and walks about in darkness, and does not know whither he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
12 小子よ、我が汝等に書贈るは、汝等の罪キリストの御名によりて赦されたるが故なり。
I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven through his name.
13 父等よ、我が汝等に書贈るは汝等が初より存し給へるものを識りたるが故なり。青年等よ、我が汝等に書贈るは、汝等が惡魔に勝ちたる故なり。
I write unto you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because you have conquered the wicked one. I have written unto you, little children, because you have known the Father.
14 子兒等よ、我が汝等に書贈りしは、汝等が父を識り奉れる故なり。父等よ、我が汝等に書贈りしは、汝等が父を識り奉りたりし故なり。若き者よ、我が汝等に書贈りしは、汝等が強くして神の御言汝等の衷に止り、汝等惡魔に勝ちたる故なり。
I have written unto you, fathers, because you have known him from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
15 世及び世に在る事を愛する勿れ、人若世を愛せば父に對する愛之に存する事なし、
Love not the world, nor the things that are in the world. If any one loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him:
16 其は総て世に在る事、肉の慾、目の慾、生活の誇は父より出でずして世より出づればなり。
because this is all that is in the world; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, which is not of the Father, but is of the world.
The world and its lust are indeed passing away; but the one doing the will of God abides forever. (aiōn g165)
18 小子よ、末の時なり、曾て非キリスト來ると汝等の聞きし如く、今既に非キリストと成れるもの多し。我等は之によりて末の時なるを知る。
Little children, it is the last hour: and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, from which we know that it is the last hour.
19 彼等は我等の中より出でたれど、素より我等のものたらざりき。若我等のものたりしならば、我等と共に止りしならん、然るに[斯の如くなるは]彼等が皆我等のものたらざる事の明に成らん為なり。
They came out from us, but they were not of us; for if they were of us, they would have remained with us: but in order that they might be made manifest that they are not all of us.
20 汝等は聖なるものより注油せられて、一切の事を識れり。
You have an unction from the Holy One, and you all know.
21 我が汝等に書贈りしは、眞理を知らざる者としてに非ず、之を知り、又偽は総て眞理より出でざる事を知れる人として書贈れるなり。
I have not written unto you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
22 僞る者は誰ぞ、イエズスのキリストにて在す事を否める人に非ずや。御父及び御子を否める人、是こそは非キリストなれ。
Who is a liar except the one denying that Jesus is the Christ? This one is the antichrist, the one denying the Father and the Son.
23 総て御子を否める人は御父をも有し奉らず、御子を宣言する人は御父をも有し奉るなり。
No one denying the Son has the Father: the one confessing the Son has also the Father.
24 願はくは汝等が初より聞きし所汝等の衷に止らん事を。若初より聞きし所汝等の衷に止らば、汝等も亦御子及び御父の衷に止り奉らん。
Let that which you heard from the beginning abide in you. If that which you heard from the beginning may abide in you, you also are abiding in the Son, and in the Father.
This is the message which he proclaimed unto you, eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
26 我汝等を惑はす人々に就きて是等の事を書贈りたれども、
I have written these things unto you concerning those deceiving you.
27 汝等は彼より賜はりし注油其身に止りて、人に教へらるるを要せず、其注油は萬事に就きて汝等を教へ、而も眞にして偽に非ず、汝等其教へたる儘に之に止れ。
And the unction which you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that any one may teach you: but as his unction teaches you concerning all things, and it is true, and it is no lie, and as he has taught you, abide in him.
28 小子よ、卒主の衷に止り奉れ、然らば其顕れ給はん時、我等は憚る所なく、其降臨に於て彼より辱められじ。
And now, little children, abide in him; in order that, if he may appear, we may have boldness, and not shrink with embarrassment from him in his presence.
29 第二項 神は義にて在せば我等は義に據るべし。 汝等神が義にて在すことを識らば、又義を為す人の彼より生れ奉りしを辨へよ。
If you may know that he is righteous, know that every one doing righteousness has been born of him.
