1 われはシャロンの野花 谷の百合なり
I [am] the rose of Sharon, [and] the lily of the valleys.
2 女子等の中にわが佳耦のあるは荊棘の中に百合花のあるがごとし
As the lily among thorns, so [is] my love among the daughters.
3 わが愛する者の男子等の中にあるは林の樹の中に林檎のあるがごとし 我ふかく喜びてその蔭にすわれり その實はわが口に甘かりき
As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so [is] my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit [was] sweet to my taste.
4 彼われをたづさへて酒宴の室にいれたまへり その我上にひるがへしたる旗は愛なりき
He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me [was] love.
5 請ふ なんぢら乾葡萄をもてわが力をおぎなへ 林檎をもて我に力をつけよ 我は愛によりて疾わづらふ
Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I [am] sick of love.
6 彼が左の手はわが頭の下にあり その右の手をもて我を抱く
His left hand [is] under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me.
7 エルサレムの女子等よ我なんぢらに獐と野の鹿とをさし誓ひて請ふ 愛のおのづから起るときまでは殊更に喚起し且つ醒すなかれ
I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake [my] love, till he please.
8 わが愛する者の聲きこゆ 視よ 山をとび 岡を躍りこえて來る
The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills.
9 わが愛する者は獐のごとくまた小鹿のごとし 視よ彼われらの壁のうしろに立ち 窓より覗き 格子より窺ふ
My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice.
10 わが愛する者われに語りて言ふ わが佳耦よ わが美しき者よ 起ていできたれ 視よ 冬すでに過ぎ 雨もやみてはやさりぬ
My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over [and] gone;
12 もろもろの花は地にあらはれ 鳥のさへづる時すでに至り 班鳩の聲われらの地にきこゆ
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing [of birds] is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
13 無花果樹はその青き果を赤らめ 葡萄の樹は花さきてその馨しき香氣をはなつ わが佳耦よ わが美しき者よ 起て出きたれ
The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines [with] the tender grape give a [good] smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.
14 磐間にをり 斷崖の匿處にをるわが鴿よ われに汝の面を見させよ なんぢの聲をきかしめよ なんぢの聲は愛らしく なんぢの面はうるはし
O my dove, [that art] in the clefts of the rock, in the secret [places] of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet [is] thy voice, and thy countenance [is] comely.
15 われらのために狐をとらへよ 彼の葡萄園をそこなふ小狐をとらへよ 我等の葡萄園は花盛なればなり
Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines [have] tender grapes.
16 わが愛する者は我につき我はかれにつく 彼は百合花の中にて其群を牧ふ
My beloved [is] mine, and I [am] his: he feedeth among the lilies.
17 わが愛する者よ 日の涼しくなるまで 影の消るまで身をかへして出ゆき 荒き山々の上にありて獐のごとく 小鹿のごとくせよ
Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether.
