詩篇 42
1 伶長にうたはしめたるコラの子のをしへの歌 ああ神よしかの渓水をしたひ喘ぐがごとく わが霊魂もなんぢをしたひあえぐなり
“BOOK II. For the leader of the music. A song of the sons of Korah.” As the hart panteth for the water-brooks, So panteth my soul for thee, O God!
2 わがたましひは渇けるごとくに神をしたふ 活神をぞしたふ 何れのときにか我ゆきて神のみまへにいでん
My soul thirsteth for God, the living God: When shall I come, and appear before God?
3 かれらが終日われにむかひて なんぢの神はいづくにありやとののしる間はただわが涙のみ昼夜そそぎてわが糧なりき
My tears have been my food day and night, While they say to me continually, “Where is thy God?”
4 われむかし群をなして祭日をまもる衆人とともにゆき歓喜と讃美のこゑをあげてかれらを神の家にともなへり 今これらのことを追想してわが衷よりたましひを注ぎいだすなり
When I think of it, I pour out my soul in grief; How I once walked with the multitude, Walked slowly with them to the house of God, Amid sounds of joy and praise with the festive multitude!
5 ああわが霊魂よ なんぢ何ぞうなたるるや なんぞわが衷におもひみだるるや なんぢ神をまちのぞめ われに聖顔のたすけありて我なほわが神をめたたふべければなり
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him, Him, my deliverer and my God!
6 わが神よわがたましひはわが衷にうなたる 然ばわれヨルダンの地よりヘルモンよりミザルの山より汝をおもひいづ
My soul is cast down within me, While I remember thee from the land of Jordan and Hermon, From the mountain Mizar.
7 なんぢの大瀑のひびきによりて淵々よびこたへ なんぢの波なんぢの猛浪ことごとくわが上をこえゆけり
Deep calleth for deep at the noise of thy waterfalls; All thy waves and billows have gone over me!
8 然はあれど昼はヱホバその憐憫をほどこしたまふ 夜はその歌われとともにあり 此うたはわがいのちの神にささぐる祈なり
Once the LORD commanded his kindness by day, And by night his praise was with me, -Thanksgiving to the God of my life.
9 われわが磐なる神にいはん なんぞわれを忘れたまひしや なんぞわれは仇のしへたげによりて悲しみありくや
Now I say to God, my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? Why go I mourning on account of the oppression of the enemy?
10 わが骨もくだくるぼかりにわがてきはひねもす我にむかひて なんぢの神はいづくに心りやといひののしりつつ我をそしれり
Like the crushing of my bones are the reproaches of the enemy, While they say to me continually, “Where is thy God?”
11 ああわがたましひよ 汝なんぞうなたるるや 何ぞわがうちに思ひみだるるや なんぢ神をまちのぞめ われ尚わがかほの助なるわが神をほめたたふべければなり
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him, Him, my deliverer and my God!
