ヨブ 記 14
1 婦の産む人はその日少なくして艱難多し
Man [that is] born of a woman [is] of few days, and full of trouble.
2 その來ること花のごとくにして散り 其馳ること影のごとくにして止まらず
He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
3 なんぢ是のごとき者に汝の目を啓きたまふや 汝われを汝の前にひきて審判したまふや
And dost thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?
4 誰か清き物を汚れたる物の中より出し得る物あらん 一人も無し
Who can bring a clean [thing] out of an unclean? not one.
5 その日既に定まり その月の數なんぢに由り 汝これが區域を立て越ざらしめたまふなれば
Seeing his days [are] determined, the number of his months [are] with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
6 是に目を離して安息を得させ 之をして傭人のその日を樂しむがごとくならしめたまへ
Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day.
7 それ木には望あり 假令砍るるとも復芽を出してその枝絶ず
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
8 たとひ其根地の中に老い 幹土に枯るとも
Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;
9 水の潤霑にあへば即ち芽をふき枝を出して若樹に異ならず
[Yet] through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
10 然ど人は死れば消うす 人氣絶えなば安に在んや
But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where [is] he?
11 水は海に竭き河は涸てかわく
[As] the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:
12 是のごとく人も寢臥てまた興ず 天の盡るまで目覺ず睡眠を醒さざるなり
So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens [be] no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! (Sheol h7585)
14 人もし死ばまた生んや 我はわが征戰の諸日の間望みをりて我が變更の來るを待ん
If a man die, shall he live [again]? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
15 なんぢ我を呼びたまはん 而して我こたへん 汝かならず汝の手の作を顧みたまはん
Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.
16 今なんぢは我に歩履を數へたまふ 我罪を汝うかがひたまはざらんや
For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?
17 わが愆は凡て嚢の中に封じてあり汝わが罪を縫こめたまふ
My transgression [is] sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity.
18 それ山も倒れて終に崩れ巖石も移りてその處を離る
And surely the mountain falling cometh to nought, and the rock is removed out of his place.
19 水は石を鑿ち 浪は地の塵を押流す 汝は人の望を斷たまふ
The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow [out] of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man.
20 なんぢは彼を永く攻なやまして去ゆかしめ 彼の面容の變らせて逐やりたまふ
Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth: thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away.
21 その子尊貴なるも彼は之を知ず 卑賤なるもまた之を曉らざるなり
His sons come to honour, and he knoweth [it] not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth [it] not of them.
22 只己みづからその肉に痛苦を覺え己みづからその心に哀く而已
But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.
