1 アハシユエロス王國土および海の島々に貢をたてまつらしむ

Truly, king Artaxerxes made all the land, and all the islands of the sea, tributaries.

2 アハシユエロス王が權勢と能力をもて爲たる一切の事業および彼がモルデカイを高くして大いなる者とならしめたる事の委き話はメデアとぺルシヤの列王の日誌の書に記さるるにあらずや

And his strength and his authority, and the dignity and supremacy with which he exalted Mordecai, have been written in the books of the Medes and the Persians,

3 ユダヤ人モルデカイはアハシユエロス王に次ぐ者となりユダヤ人の中にありて大なる者にしてその衆多の兄弟によろこばれたり彼はその民の福祉をもとめその一切の宗族に平和の言をのべたりき

and how Mordecai of Jewish birth, was second after king Artaxerxes, and great among the Jews, and acceptable to the people of his brethren, seeking the good of his people, and speaking about things which pertained to peace for their descendants.
