ダニエル書 2
1 ネブカデネザルの治世の二年にネブカデネザル夢を見それがために心に思ひなやみて復睡ること能はざりき

2 是をもて王は命を下し王のためにその夢を解せんとて博士と法術士と魔術士とカルデヤ人とを召しめたれぼ彼ら來りて王の前に立つ

3 王すなはち彼らにむかひ我夢を見その夢の義を知んと心に思ひなやむと言ければ

4 カルデヤ人等スリア語をもて王に申しけるは願くは王長壽かれ請ふ僕等にその夢を語りたまへ我らその解明を進めたてまつらんと

5 王こたへてカルデヤ人に言けるは我すでに命を出せり汝等もしその夢とこれが解明とを我に示さざるにおいては汝らの身は切裂れ汝らの家は厠にせられん

6 又汝らもしその夢とこれが解明を示さば贐物と賞賚と大なる尊榮とを我より獲ん然ばその夢と之が解明を我に示せ

7 彼らまた對へて言けるは願くは王僕どもにその夢を語りたまへ然ば我らその解明を奏すべしと

8 王こたへて言けるは我あきらかに知る汝らは吾命の下りしを見るが故に時を延さんことを望むなり

9 汝らもしその夢を我に示さずば汝らを處置するの法は只一のみ汝らは相語らひて虚言と妄誕なる詞を我前にのべて時の變るを待んとするなり汝ら今先その夢を我に示せ然すれば汝らがその解明をも我にしめし得ることを我しらんと

10 カルデヤ人等こたへて王の前に申しけるは世の中には王のその事を示し得る人一箇もなし是をもて王たる者主たる者君たる者等の中に斯る事を博士または法術士またはカルデヤ人に問たづねし者絶てあらざるなり

14 茲に王の侍衛の長アリオク、バビロンの智者等を殺さんとて出きたりければダニエル遠慮と智慧とをもて之に應答せり

15 すなはち王の高官アリオクに對へて言けるは王なにとて斯すみやかにこの命を下したまひしやとアリオクその事をダニエルに告しらせたれば

16 ダニエルいりて王に乞求めて言ふ暫くの時日を賜へ然ばその解明を王に奏せんと

17 斯てダニエルその家にかへりその同僚ハナニヤ、ミシヤエルおよびアザリヤにこの事を告しらせ
then Daniel to/for house his to go and to/for Hananiah Mishael and Azariah fellow his word [the] to know
18 共にこの秘密につき天の神の憐憫を乞ひダニエルとその同僚等をしてその他のバビロンの智者とともに滅びさらしめんことを求めたりしが

19 ダニエルつひに夜の異象の中にこの秘密を示されければダニエル天の神を賞賛ふ
then to/for Daniel in/on/with vision [the] that night [the] mystery [the] to reveal then Daniel to bless to/for god heaven [the]
20 即ちダニエル應へて言けるは永遠より永遠にいたるまでこの神の御名は讃まつるべきなり智慧と權能はこれが有なればなり
to answer Daniel and to say to be name his that god [the] to bless from perpetuity [the] and till perpetuity [the] that wisdom [the] and might [the] that to/for him he/she/it
21 彼は時と期とを變じ王を廃し王を立て智者に智慧を與へ賢者に知識を賜ふ

22 彼は深妙秘密の事を顕し幽暗にあるところの者を知たまふまた光明彼の裏にあり

23 わが先祖等の神よ汝は我に智慧と權能を賜ひ今われらが汝に乞求めたるところの事を我にしめし給へば我感謝して汝を賞賛ふ即ち汝は王のかの事を我らに示したまへり

24 是においてダニエルは王がバビロンの智者等を殺すことを命じおけるアリオクの許にいたり即ちいりてこれに言けるはバビロンの智者等を殺す勿れ我を王の前に引いたれよ我その解明を王に奏上ぐべしと

25 アリオクすなはちダニエルを引て急ぎ王の前にいたり王にまうしけるは我ユダの俘囚人の中に一箇の人を得たり是者その解明を王にまうしあげん

26 王こたへてベルテシヤザルと名くるダニエルに言けるは汝は我が見たる夢とその解明とを我に知らすることを得るやと

27 ダニエルすなはち應へて王の前に言けるは王の問たまふ秘密は智者法術士博士卜筮師など之を王に奏上ぐることを得ず

28 然ど天に一の神ありて秘密をあらはし給ふ彼後の日に起らんところの事の如何なるかをネブカデネザル王にしらせたまふなり汝の夢汝が牀にありて想見たまひし汝の脳中の異象は是なり

29 王よ汝牀にいりし時将來の事の如何を想ひまはしたまひしが秘密を顕す者将來の事の如何を汝にしめし給へり

30 我がこの示現を蒙れるは凡の生る者にまさりて我に智慧あるに由にあらず唯その解明を王に知しむる事ありて王のつひにその心に想ひたまひし事を知にいたり給はんがためなり

31 王よ汝は一箇の巨なる像の汝の前に立るを見たまへり其像は大くしてその光輝は常ならずその形は畏ろしくあり

32 其像は頭は純金 胸と兩腕とは銀 腹と腿とは銅

33 脛は鉄 脚は一分は鉄一分は泥土なり

34 汝見て居たまひしに遂に一箇の石人手によらずして鑿れて出でその像の鉄と泥土との脚を撃てこれを碎けり

35 斯りしかばその鉄と泥土と銅と銀と金とは皆ともに碎けて夏の禾場の糠のごとくに成り風に吹はらはれて止るところ無りき而してその像を撃たる石は大なる山となりて全地に充り

36 是その夢なり我らその解明を王の前に陳ん

37 王よ汝は諸王の王にいませり即ち天の神汝に國と權威と能力と尊貴とを賜へり
(you *Q(k)*) king [the] king king [the] that god heaven [the] kingdom [the] authority [the] and might [the] and honor [the] to give to/for you
38 また人の子等等の獣畜かよび天空の鳥は何處にをる者にもあれ皆これを汝の手に與へて汝にこれをことごとく治めしめたまふ汝はすなはち此金の頭なり

39 汝の後に汝に劣る一の國おこらんまた第三に銅の國おこりて全世界を治めん

40 第四の國は堅きこと鉄のごとくならん鉄は能く萬の物を毀ち碎くなり 鉄の是等をことごとく打碎くがごとく其國は毀ちかつ碎くことをせん

41 汝その足と足の趾を見たまひしに一分は陶人の泥土一分は鉄なりければその國は分裂たる者ならん又汝鉄と粘土との混和たるを見たまひたればその國は鉄のごとく強からん

43 汝が鉄と粘土との混りたるを見たまひしごとく其等は人草の種子と混らん然ど鉄と泥土との相合せざるごとく彼と此と相合すること有じ

44 この王等の日に天の神一の國を建たまはん是は何時までも滅ぶること無らん此國は他の民に歸せず却てこの諸の國を打破りてこれを滅せん是は立ちて永遠にいたらん

45 かの石の人手によらずして山より鑿れて出で鉄と銅と泥土と銀と金とを打碎きしを汝が見たまひしは即ちこの事なり大御神この後に起らんところの事を王にしらせたまへるなりその夢は眞にしてこの解明は確なり

46 是においてネブカデネザル王は俯伏てダニエルを拝し礼物と香をこれに献ぐることを命じたり

47 而して王こたへてダニエルに言けるは汝がこの秘密を明かに示すことを得たるを見れば誠に汝らの神は神等の神王等の主にして能く秘密を示す者なりと

48 かくて王はダこエルに高位を授け種々の大なる賜物を與へてこれをバビロン全州の総督となしまたバビロンの智者等を統る者の首長となせり

49 王またダニエルの願によりてシヤデラクとメシヤクとアベデネゴを挙てバビロン州の事務をつかさどらしめたりダニエルは王の宮にをる
and Daniel to ask from king [the] and to reckon/appoint since service [the] that province Babylon to/for Shadrach Meshach and Abednego Abednego and Daniel in/on/with door king [the]
