ゼカリヤ書 5
1 わたしがまた目をあげて見ていると、飛んでいる巻物を見た。
And I lifted up my eyes again and looked, and behold, a flying roll.
2 彼がわたしに「何を見るか」と言ったので、「飛んでいる巻物を見ます。その長さは二十キュビト、その幅は十キュビトです」と答えた。
And he said to me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.
3 すると彼はまた、わたしに言った、「これは全地のおもてに出て行く、のろいの言葉です。すべて盗む者はこれに照して除き去られ、すべて偽り誓う者は、これに照して除き去られるのです。
Then said he to me: — This is the curse that goeth forth Over the Face of the whole land; For every one who stealeth shall be cut off from hence, according to it, And every one who sweareth falsely shall be cut off from hence, according to it.
4 万軍の主は仰せられます、わたしはこれを出て行かせる。これは盗む者の家に入り、またわたしの名をさして偽り誓う者の家に入り、その家の中に宿って、これをその木と石と共に滅ぼすと」。
I will bring it forth, saith Jehovah of hosts, And it shall enter into the house of the thief, And into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name; And it shall abide in his house, And shall consume it, with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
5 わたしと語る天の使は進んで来て、わたしに「目をあげて、この出てきた物が、なんであるかを見なさい」と言った。
Then the angel who talked with me went forth, and said to me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what this is which goeth forth.
6 わたしが「これはなんですか」と言うと、彼は「この出てきた物は、エパ枡です」と言い、また「これは全地の罪です」と言った。
And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah which goeth forth. He said, moreover, This is their image through all the land.
7 そして見よ、鉛のふたを取りあげると、そのエパ枡の中にひとりの女がすわっていた。
And behold, a talent of lead was lifted up, and a woman was sitting upon the ephah.
8 すると彼は「これは罪悪である」と言って、その女をエパ枡の中に押し入れ、鉛の重しを、その枡の口に投げかぶせた。
And he said, This is the Wickedness. And he cast her into the ephah, and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
9 それからわたしが目をあげて見ていると、ふたりの女が出てきた。これに、こうのとりの翼のような翼があり、その翼に風をはらんで、エパ枡を天と地との間に持ちあげた。
Then lifted I up mine eyes and looked, and behold, there came forth two women, and wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and heaven.
10 わたしは、わたしと語る天の使に言った、「彼らはエパ枡を、どこへ持って行くのですか」。
Then said I to the angel who talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?
11 彼はわたしに言った、「シナルの地で、女たちのために家を建てるのです。それが建てられると、彼らはエパ枡をそこにすえ、それの土台の上に置くのです」。
And he said to me, To build it a house in the land of Shinar, that it may be fixed there, and set upon its base.
